Abstract

Based on the results of the study, the percentage of critical thinking skills in the experimental class for each indicator namely giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics, respectively, were 82%, 63%, 72%, 68% 67%. The control class for each indicator namely giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics are 76%, 54%, 59%, 56%, 52%, respectively. The percentage results of the experimental class learning motivation questionnaire for each indicator namely attention, relevance, belief, and satisfaction respectively 84%, 83%, 87.4%, 83%, the control class for each indicator namely attention, relevance, belief, and satisfaction are 76.3%, 81%, 77%, 74.4% with the result that the blended learning strategy affects critical thinking skills and learning motivation of class X students on redox reaction material at SMAN 1 Balaesang.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the teacher's role in the use of the chemistry laboratory (2) describe the teacher's obstacles in the use of the chemistry laboratory (3) describe the solution to overcome the obstacles in the use of the chemistry laboratory. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with an inductive approach. This research uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show: (1) the role of the teacher as a class manager develops students' abilities in using learning tools, provides conditions that allow students to work and learn, the teacher as a facilitator provides facilities that allow students to learn optimally to get poor results. good. (2) the main obstacles are inadequate facilities and infrastructure, namely insufficient tools and materials, lack of teacher time allocation and lack of teacher readiness. (3) the solution is to provide alternative tools and materials, hold a meeting again with the principal to discuss the completeness of tools and materials, discuss the allocation of teacher time, and provide input so that the person in charge of the laboratory and chemistry teachers can be included in the chemical laboratory management training.

Abstract

Forest onion (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr.) is one of the plants commonly used by the community as traditional medicine. This plant can cure diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, prevent stroke and can lower cholesterol. Forest onions are known to contain compounds such as flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, and saponins. This study aims to determine the levels of flavonoid compounds in forest leek extract. Samples were extracted using maceration method with 70% ethanol as solvent. Determination of flavonoid levels using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 432.5 nm and using quercetin as a comparison (QE). The results of this study showed the levels of flavonoid compounds in forest leeks were 27.203 mg/100g±0,348.
