Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (a) gambaran kemampuan scientific reasoning dan scientific argumentation mahasiswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model flipped classroom collaborative learning (b) Ada atau tidaknya pengaruh implementasi model flipped classroom collaborative learning terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning dan scientific argumentation  mahasiswa. Penelitian ini adalah quasy-experiment dengan desain two-group posttest only design. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Tadulako tahun akademik 2020/2021 semester genap. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 21 mahasiswa di kelompok control dan 21 mahasiswa di kelompok eksperimen. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah The Lawson classroom test of scientific reasoning (LCTSR) dan Test of Scientific Argumentation . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan  statistik inferensial menggunakan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan scientific reasoning dan kemampuan mahasiswa di kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada di kelompok control. Pada kelompok eksperimen rata-rata kemampuan scientific reasoning mahasiswa yaitu 66,45 dan pada kelompok kontrol 53,27. Pada kelompok eksperimen rata-rata kemampuan scientific argumentation  yaitu 63,32 dan pada kelompok kontrol 52,82. Selain itu. Hasil uji independent sample t-test, nilai signifikansi terhadap data kemampuan scientific reasoning mahasiswa adalah 0,029 (<0,05) dan nilai signifikansi terhadap data kemampuan scientific argumentation mahasiswa adalah 0,042 (<0,05). Oleh karena itu disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penerapan model flipped classroom-collaborative learning terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning dan kemampuan scientific argumentation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the description of learning independence, students' creative attitudes, and the relationship between learning independence and students' creative attitudes towards learning outcomes in class X chemistry learning at SMA Negeri 6 Palu. This research was conducted from April to June 2021. The research method used was descriptive research.  The sampling technique is purposive sampling.  The population in this study were all students of class X with a total of 90 students, the samples used were students of class X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 6 Palu in the academic year 2020/2021 as many as 30 students.  The research instrument used in this study was a learning independence questionnaire and a creative attitude questionnaire compiled using a Likert scale, and using MID learning outcomes in semester 2 of chemistry class X IPA 2. Based on the results of the study, there were 3 categories of descriptions of independent learning and creative attitudes  students are high, medium and low. The results of the calculation of the correlation coefficient between learning independence and student learning outcomes are low (rcount) 0.260. The relationship between creative attitudes towards student learning outcomes is moderate (rcount) 0.457 at the moderate level.  Based on these data, it can be concluded that the creative attitude of students to support learning success is more positive than student learning independence.  The results of this study are expected to be a source of information regarding the relationship between learning independence and students' creative attitudes towards learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to improve student achievement in learning chemistry in class X MIA4 at SMA Negeri 1 Palu by applying the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) problem can be formulated as follows: Is the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model application able to improve student achievement in learning chemistry in class X MIA4 SMAN 1 Palu? CAR is carried out with the following stages to answer the problem: 1. Planning, 2. Implementation. 3. Observation, and 4. Evaluation and Reflection. The study results can be explained as follows several fundamental aspects of learning were successfully improved by applying the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model. Such as student activity in collaboration and in completing worksheets independently, actively asking and answering questions, and making students feel happy and enthusiastic. Likewise, the average evaluation of each cycle showed that the % completeness increased. In cycle one, action one was 73.8%, action two 85.5%, and activity three 92.9% increased in cycle two, the average from three actions to 98.0%. It can be concluded that the application of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model can improve student achievement in class X MIA4 SMA Negeri 1.

Abstract

Professional teachers must have the ability to develop innovative learning tools that apply the latest learning elements in the 21st century, including TPACK and HOTS. During the program of PPG on the course of developing innovative learning tools, it was found that teachers in elementary, junior high, and high school/vocational, had never gained knowledge regarding the types of innovative learning designs that apply the latest learning elements in the 21st century, especially TPACK and HOTS. Therefore, training on the HOTS and TPACK-based learning tools was carried out. After the training, it was found that the teacher's ability had increased in developing HOTS and TPACK-based learning tools and the participants' responses is good during the training included activeness, participation, motivation, mastery, skills, especially attendance. But questioning skills need to be retrained

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the level of active participation of students in online collaborative discussions using LMS and social networking tools. The type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental form. The research design used was posttest only control group design. The study population was 56 students of the chemistry education study program semester II of the 2020/2021 academic year. The sample in this study were 38 people consisting of 8 men and 30 women. The sample was determined by class random sampling technique. The research instrument used was an assessment sheet for student activity in collaborative discussions. The data obtained is in the form of quantitative data which is then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis to describe the level of active participation of students in online collaboration discussions and inferential statistical analysis to test research hypotheses. The results show that: 1) The level of student participation in online discussion collaborative learning using social network tools is higher compared using LMS 2) There is a significant difference between the level of student participation in online discussion collaboration learning using social network tools and students using LMS.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills of students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu on the material of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions. This research is a descriptive research. The sample of this study was 60 students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The data collected was in the form of critical thinking ability test results obtained by giving questions in essay form as many as 7 valid questions. Furthermore, the data collected was analyzed based on indicators of critical thinking skills which include interpretation, analysis, inference, and evaluation respectively 45.50%, 27.08%, 27.08%, and 23.54%. The average result for all indicators of critical thinking ability of students in class XI MIPA is 32.53%. This shows that the critical thinking skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Palu are still lacking.

Abstract

Based on the results of the study, the percentage of critical thinking skills in the experimental class for each indicator namely giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics, respectively, were 82%, 63%, 72%, 68% 67%. The control class for each indicator namely giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics are 76%, 54%, 59%, 56%, 52%, respectively. The percentage results of the experimental class learning motivation questionnaire for each indicator namely attention, relevance, belief, and satisfaction respectively 84%, 83%, 87.4%, 83%, the control class for each indicator namely attention, relevance, belief, and satisfaction are 76.3%, 81%, 77%, 74.4% with the result that the blended learning strategy affects critical thinking skills and learning motivation of class X students on redox reaction material at SMAN 1 Balaesang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of teaching aids hydrocarbon materials from used goods in learning with the TGT model to improve learning outcomes and student motivation at rural school. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a two-group posttest-only design. The research sample is 40 high school students in SMAN 9 Palu suburbs. Hydrocarbon teaching aids are in the form of KIT puzzles and molimod.. Hydrocarbon teaching aids have been validated by media experts and material experts and got very feasible result (91.5%). The research instrument used in this study was a test of hydrocarbon material and a learning motivation questionnaire. Data on learning outcomes and motivation were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics independent sample t-test. The results showed that the use of teaching aids for hydrocarbon materials from used goods in learning with the TGT model was effective in improving student learning outcomes because there were differences in learning outcomes tcount (2.46) > ttable (2.02) and the experimental group learning outcomes were higher than the control class. There are differences in learning motivation tcount (3.17) > ttable (2.02), but the difference in motivation is very small so that the learning motivation in the experimental group and the control class is almost the same

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat miskonsepsi pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidoan Kab.Parigi Moutong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan persentase. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes diagnostik pilihan ganda tiga tingkat (Three-tier). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat paham konsep siswa diperoleh sebanyak 33%. Tidak Paham Konsep diperoleh sebanyak 28%. Miskonsepsi pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidoan diperoleh sebanyak 40%. Kategori miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat sub konsep Sistem dan Lingkungan sebesar 12,5%. Persentase miskonsepsi berdasarkan item soal, tingkat miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat pada item soal nomor 28 dengan persentase 67,5%. Sedangkan yang terendah terdapat pada item soal nomor 1,4, dan 14 dengan persentase terendah sebesar 10%-12,5%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menjadi sumber informasi mengenai tingkat miskonsepsi siswa.
