Abstract

The use of organic matters on sweet corn cultivation is focused to decrease the utilization of chemical substances for minimizing environmental degradation. An experiment was conducted at Ujung Berung Indah Residence, Ujung Berung Districts, Bandung City (± 780 m asl.) from April to July 2020. The Aims of this research were to determine the suitable and effective inoculant to increase the growth of sweet corn plants. The sweet corn variety used was Bonanza F1 and the PSB inoculant that used was Bacillus Laterosporus. The organic fertilizers were compost, chicken and cow dung, and phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB), as a biofertilizer. A randomized block design with three replications was utilized in this experiment. The treatments consisted of without organic fertilizers or PSB (control) (K), inoculation of PSB (P1), application of compost (P2), (4) application of chicken and cow dung (P3), and application of the chemical fertilizer (NPK) (P4). The results showed that the application of organic fertilizers and PSB increased the growth of sweet corn plants after harvesting. The inoculation of PSB resulted in highest plant height compared to control and the highest sweet corn yield compared to the control treatment, and even it was higher than the yield caused by the application of the chemical fertilizer.

Abstract

Abstrak Jagung manis (Zea mays L. saccharata) merupakan salah satu komoditas holtikultura yang disukai masyarakat. Tingginya minat masyarakat akan jagung manis menyebabkan optimalisasi dalam pembudidayaan jagung manis perlu ditingkatkan. Untuk mencapai hasil tanaman jagung yang tinggi maka diperlukan dosis pemupukan phosfor yang juga tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan dosis SP-36 terbaik pada jagung manis varietas Bonanza F1. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari Sampai Mei 2019. Bertempat di Kelurahan Tegal Sari Kecamatan Arga Makmur Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah benih jagung varietas Bonanza F1, pupuk anorganik padat SP-36 yang merupakan salah satu pupuk padat yang di produksi oleh PT. Petrokimia Gresik, pupuk urea, pupuk KCl. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan RAK dengan satu faktor yaitu varietas Bonanza F1, dengan berbagai perlakuan dosis pupuk SP-36 yaitu 100 kg/ha = 36 g/petak, 150 kg/ha = 54 g/petak, 200 kg/ha = 72 g/petak, 250 kg/ha = 90 g/petak. Selanjutnya data dianalisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjutan polinomial ortogonal pada taraf uji 5%. Pemberian pupuk pada tanaman dilakukan saat penanaman dengan dosis yang ada pada perlakuan dan diaplikasikan per petak. Hasil penelitian ini adalah berbagai dosis pupuk SP-36 tidak memberikan pengaruh pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis varietas Bonanza F1. Abstract

Rejang Lebong has local commodities, one of which is green onion, because the topographic and geographical conditions of Rejang Lebong are suitable for the growth of leeks. The leek plants produced in the Rejang Lebong area are diverse, where there are leek plants that have a soft stem texture. In the cultivation of leeks, most of the farmers in Rejang Lebong still use inorganic fertilizers to support their agricultural production, this situation if carried out in the long term can have a negative impact on the surrounding environment, especially on agricultural land. Rejang Lebong is a developing city that has many home industries such as the cake industry, restaurants, bakeries, noodle stalls and egg martabak that use eggs as raw materials, so there is a lot of egg shell waste that is not utilized and just thrown away and has an impact on the environment. environmental pollution such as bad smell. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of broiler eggshell powder on the growth and yield of leek (Allium fistulosum), and what dose was effective for wet weight of leek (Allium fistulosum). This research is a field experiment research using a completely randomized design with 1 factor and 7 treatments, 3 replications, data analysis using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that there was an effect of egg shell powder on the growth and yield of leek (Allium fistulosum) and the effective dose for growth and yield of leek (Allium fistulosum) was P6 (55 grams).

Abstract

Peningkatan produksi bawang merah dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan benih dari varitas yang sesuai dengan lingkungan tumbuh serta perlakuan pemupukan dengan dosis yang tepat. Pemanfaatan gulma Wedelia trilobata sebagai pupuk organik cair dapat menyuplai unsur hara yang dibutuhkan selama pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan interaksi pupuk organik cair (POC) tusuk konde pada tiga varietas bawang merah, menentukan varietas bawang merah yang memberikan respon terbaik terhadap POC, dan mendapatkan konsentrasi optimum POC pada bawang merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di green house Laboratorium Agronomi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Bengkulu dari bulan Januari - April 2019. Rancangan penelitian adalah rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, satu unit perlakuan ada dua pot tanaman. Faktor pertama perlakuan konsentrasi POC yang terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu 0 V/V, 25 V/V, 50 V/V, 75 V/V, 100 V/V dan faktor kedua yaitu varietas bawang merah meliputi Bima Brebes, Batu Ijo, dan Thailand. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analysis of Varian (ANAVA) pada taraf 5%, Polynomial Orthogonal untuk menjelaskan interaksi dan konsentrasi, dan BNT untuk menentukan varietas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat interaksi POC tusuk konde terhadap panjang tajuk tanaman bawang merah. Varietas Thailand yang diberi 100 V/V POC tusuk konde menghasilkan panjang tajuk terpanjang (28.5 cm). Varietas Batu ijo lebih responsif dibandingkan dengan varietas Bima dan Thailand . Hal ini dapat dilihat dari variabel penting yaitu bobot kering umbi yang diikuti variabel lainnya yaitu jumlah umbi. Pemberian POC W. trilobata L. belum mendapatkan konsentrasi yang optimum. Pada konsentrasi 100 V/V menghasilkan panjang tajuk terpanjang (23 cm), bobot segar dan bobot kering umbi terberat (16.20 g dan 14.44 g).

Abstract

Green leafhopper is one of the important pests found in eggplant cultivation, especially in the Solanaceae family. To control the attack of green leafhoppers, in general, farmers will spray pesticides. This activity is an activity that aims to determine the effectiveness of lemongrass leaf extract for controlling green leafhopper attacks on eggplant plants tested. This activity was carried out at the Experimental Field of the Horticultural Crop Cultivation Study Program, Rejang Lebong State Community Academy. This activity was carried out from February to March 2022. In its implementation, this activity used an experimental design with a single Completely Randomized Design where each treatment was P0 (without spraying lemongrass leaf extract), P1 (Spraying Lemongrass Leaf Extract with a Concentration of 100 ml/ L), and P2 (Spraying Lemongrass Leaf Extract with a Concentration of 250 ml/L). the results of observations made it was known that there was a decrease in the population of green leafhoppers on plants after spraying treatment with lemongrass leaf extract. Although the analysis did not show a significantly different effect.
