Abstract

The development of tourism areas is one of the high priority sectors in Indonesia. One of the tourism sectors that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia is agrotourism. Sukadana is one of the sub-districts as well as the capital of North Kayong Regency which has many tourist destinations in the form of beaches, mountains and other natural beauty such as paoh hills, mangrove forests, etc. In addition to the tourism sector, Sukadana is also very famous for its durian products. Durian is one of the many varieties of fruits found in Sukadana District. However, in recent years there has been a decline in durian fruit sales. This is due to the pandemic period which sometimes limits the access of people outside the Sukadana District to visit. With this problem, the idea was created to create an agro-tourism area in North Kayong Regency that can support the distribution of fruits both during the pandemic and during normal times. The design of this agro-tourism area uses a bioclimatic architectural approach that pays attention to the relationship between architectural forms and their environment, especially in matters relating to the climate of the area. This agro-tourism area applies the concept of a Tourism and Education Village (Tourism And Education Village) where in addition to traveling, visitors can also get education related to agriculture and plantations. With the existence of this agro-tourism area, it is expected to affect the rate of economic growth in North Kayong Regency, especially the people of Sukadana District.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many public facilities to temporarily close, including fitness facility providers. Pontianak City is one of the major cities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The temporary closure of fitness facilities in Pontianak City resulted in the unavailability of fitness facilities for the community. The COVID-19 pandemic has evoked a trend of healthy living, thus providing opportunities for the rise of fitness and health facilities. Generally, fitness and relaxation facilities have a mix of male and female activities. The combination of activities between the two sexes causes discomfort for women. The design is carried out with the stages of introduction, definition, preparation, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and reevaluation. The result of the design is a building that accommodates women in Pontianak City in carrying out physical and psychological fitness activities with emphasis on the comfort and health aspects of space. The aspect of space comfort in the building is realized by placing the space zone and choosing the type of circulation to create an atmosphere of private space. The design of the Women's Special Fitness and Relaxation Center in Pontianak City uses a Post-Pandemic Architecture approach aimed at creating a pandemic response room design. Efforts to create healthy spaces are carried out by using natural ventilation (openings and gardens) and artificial ventilation (bipolar purification technology). The building uses a smart technology system on touch areas such as doorknobs as well as material selection that considers the length of life of the virus on the surface area.

Abstract

The traditions inherent in the Sambas community make this area thick with customs in people's lives. The development of human civilization is created over time, as is the case with the people in Sambas. Preservation of culture has started in the past and has been preserved until now. Art and Culture that continues to be maintained over time begins to change even more, worse, many are forgotten. This sustainability has an impact on the values of the community, which is reflected in their daily life. Art and Culture is the identity of the community, it is important that efforts are made to maintain it. As an area that upholds the values of traditional arts and culture in the social life of the city of Sambas, it does not yet have a centralized place to accommodate the traditional activities of the Sambas area. There are no supporting facilities to carry out activities and introduce Arts, Culture and Traditions to the community specifically for present and future generations. Concentration of place to continue to preserve this tradition is needed. Therefore, the existence of the Cultural Park aims to accommodate the cultural activities of the Sambas people. The design of the Cultural Park will not only make it a place for the arts but will become a hierarchy of identity for the Cultural and Arts buildings that exist in this city and aims to reintroduce traditions that have begun to be abandoned by the times. Integrating the content contained in Art, Culture and Tradition preserved with Architectural values, in responding to problems, thinking about conformity to the environment. Through the application of Neovernacular Architecture, it is hoped that it can bring back the Art and Cultural Traditions of the Sambas community.

Abstract

The community weaving activities in the Rote Ndao Ikat Weaving Village have been passed down for a long time and have become a specialty of the Rote Ndao community. Ikat weaving is a livelihood as well as improving the economic welfare of the residents of each productive house in Rote Ndao Ikat Weaving Village. Placement of residential space as a workplace through the process of making traditional woven fabrics, limited residential space is a problem in itself, how do actors maximize the available space for their productive activities. The purpose of this study is to identify the activities of residential spaces in order to obtain information about the condition of residential spaces and the activities in them. This research is the result of the exploration of several residential spaces as productive houses in Rote Ndao Tenun Ikat Village. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research methods that are objective data collection including field physical data. The results of the study show that efforts to support productive homes have limited space. Productive activities at the same time as domestic activities greatly affect the efficiency of the function of space. The use of public areas is 62.5%, based on the approach (SKKNI, 2015) The layout design, floor, separation wall & ceiling and ventilation openings in each productive house have not taken into account the technical aspects of the building and the comfort of the craft workers. The average value of natural lighting on the terrace is 174 lux, the living room is 35.5 lux so that the intensity of lighting is still lacking as a productive work space.

Abstract

Sekadau is one of the regencies located in West Kalimantan. As the economy develops, transportation facilities and infrastructure in Sekadau Regency are also increasingly needed. It aims to support the smooth mobility of passengers and goods. One of the supporting elements of the transportation system is the station which functions in controlling, supervising, and regulating the passenger and goods transportation system and being one of the node points of public transportation routes. The only bus station in Sekadau Regency is Lawang Kuari Station which is a type B terminal. This station is located in Sungai Ringin Village, Sekadau Hilir District. Even though they already have a station, the enthusiasm of the Sekadau community to use public transportation services is still very low. This is due to the government's lack of attention to station empowerment, both in terms of fulfilling facilities and maintaining buildings and areas. Another problem in the Lawang Kuari Terminal area is the functional problem of this area itself. In this station redesign, the author uses a Humanist Architecture approach in order to increase comfort in the station, so that the Sekadau community pays attention to the existence of Lawang Kuari Station. The Humanist Architecture approach places more emphasis on small-scale elements that are an important part of society. This approach seeks to improve the quality of existing designs and design decisions are more focused on the needs of the community.

Abstract

Heritage buildings as architectural heritage assets that describe the identity of a region and the architecture of the past are important to be conserved and maintained. One of the cultural heritage buildings in Indonesia is Alwatzikhoebillah Sambas Palace. This building was built with wood construction. The condition of wood with age will experience changes in characteristics due to its interaction with various factors, especially biological and non-biological factors. Changes in any form cannot be underestimated, so documentation of cultural heritage buildings is needed. One way of documenting cultural heritage buildings is Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM documentation can record various building information that is inputted in it. This research aim was to mapping and assessing the damage to the physical elements of wood on one of the accompanying buildings on the north side of the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace using BIM. BIM information contains the color code, mapping code, and the extent of the damage that occurs in the 2D view. The variables of this study were limited to biological damage caused by fungi and moss, also non-biological factors due to mechanical, weather, and chemical factors. The results of this research is the wall elements are dominantly damaged caused by wood staining fungus or mechanical erosion and weather changes of 1,64% with the effect of gray stains left on the elements.
