Abstract

Study explores the evolving nature of employability skills, particularly focusing on the integration of social skills within higher education curricula to enhance graduates' competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic labor market. Driven by the rise of the Industry 5.0 paradigm, which emphasizes human-centric collaboration with intelligent machines, this research highlights the growing demand for workers who not only possess technical expertise but also strong interpersonal competencies. Using bibliometric analysis, the study examines publications from 2016 to 2025, revealing a significant surge in research on employability skills, particularly after 2021. The findings underscore a notable shift in higher education, with increasing emphasis on the development of both technical and social skills, such as communication, leadership, and teamwork, which are critical for career success. Furthermore, this research identifies the pivotal role of work-integrated learning in preparing graduates for the workforce, suggesting that curricula must adapt to incorporate these practical experiences. The study contributes valuable insights for policymakers and educators, urging closer collaboration between the educational and industrial sectors to ensure curricula align with labor market demands. By fostering the integration of social skills alongside technical training, higher education institutions can better equip graduates to meet the challenges of the global workforce.

Abstract

Previous studies have shown that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model is effective in enhancing student engagement; however, they have not explicitly examined how this effectiveness is influenced by differences in learning styles within the context of the integration of the Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). This gap serves as a critical foundation for the present study. This study aims to analyze the relationship between learning styles and student learning outcomes through a P5-integrated TGT model using a quantitative correlational-comparative design. The research subjects consisted of 64 students at SMPN 2 Depok, categorized into auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning preferences. The instruments used included a learning style questionnaire, achievement tests, peer assessment observation sheets, and teacher journals to measure the attainment of the Pancasila Student Profile dimensions. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test and Spearman correlation. The results indicate a significant difference in learning outcomes based on students’ learning styles (p = 0.000), with kinesthetic students demonstrating superior performance within the TGT framework compared to auditory and visual students. Furthermore, the Spearman correlation reveals a strong relationship between learning styles and academic achievement (ρ = 0.886, p = 0.000), indicating a very strong association between the two variables. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of learning style analysis, the TGT learning model, and the implementation of P5 within a single measurable empirical framework. Practically, this study recommends the implementation of TGT-based differentiated instruction, such as the use of visual media and structured verbal reinforcement, to ensure that all learning styles are optimally accommodated.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the existence of the Blang Bintang final processing site on environmental conditions. A qualitative approach with a descriptive type was used in this study. Data collection techniques used observations at the landfill site and interviews with informants of the landfill management and the community who are active around the Blang Bintang landfill. The research location was the Blang Bintang landfill, Aceh Besar Regency. Data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of the study showed that the final processing site is a place where waste is safely isolated so as not to cause disturbances to the surrounding environment. The Blang Bintang landfill is a new landfill built after the tsunami as an urgent need for waste storage and a replacement for the old landfill in Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh City, which was damaged and full. Then, the impacts caused to the environment by landfill activities such as the impact of water, air and soil pollution are still relatively low, however, the potential for pollution remains, especially surface water pollution such as reservoirs and rivers that occurs during the rainy season.
