<![CDATA[Islam teaches a balance between the life of this world and the hereafter as two complementary aspects. A Muslim is obliged to work hard in this world with the intention of accumulating provisions for the afterlife. The world is not considered the ultimate goal, but rather a means to eternal happiness in the hereafter. In the Islamic view, the worldly life is a test and an opportunity to worship, do good, and get closer to Allah. Islam emphasises that balance must be struck in all aspects of life, including between spirit and matter, mind and heart, and rights and duties. This principle is also emphasised in the Quran, particularly in QS. Al-Qashash verse 77, which reminds people not to forget their part of the world, but also to use it for the good of the hereafter. Islam does not advocate abandoning the world completely, but rather utilising it wisely as a means to gain happiness in the hereafter. In addition, Islamic teachings emphasise the importance of doing good and avoiding damage on earth, in accordance with Allah's commands in various verses of the Quran. Thus, the balance of the world and the hereafter is the key to living a life in harmony with the purpose of human creation.]]>

<![CDATA[Gender studies and women's challenges in realizing religious moderation in Indonesia. This qualitative research method uses library, book and journal data as well as theories from other sources such as articles and previous research using text interaction methods or data obtained that is already available and can be used directly. Secondary data is library data which is a source that comes from other research. This method is used to make it easier to find accurate information and data in various relevant sources. This method is not limited by space or time, the research is bound by a geographic location or time. It can access information from various eras and places. Gender studies can explore the role of women in religious moderation and the challenges they face to achieve a goal, thus women have enormous potential and opportunities in maintaining the diversity that exists in Indonesia, namely other socio-cultural cultures, but this potential has not been used properly and maximum. This is because women still experience gender injustice in both the domestic and public spheres. The results of this research show that although women still experience gender injustice, but there are obstacles, many women are still innovating and collaborating in any field, including religious moderation initiatives in Indonesia. Gender studies focuses on an interdisciplinary field that interacts in complex ways with markers of identity other than sexual, national and religious. Gender, femininity and masculinity is a social organization that often does not go unnoticed. Moderation itself in Latin is moderatio which means neither more nor less, meaning equal.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to examine the role of social media in cultural identity formation through a comprehensive literature review. Social media has become an important platform for cultural preservation and promotion, allowing individuals and communities to share and celebrate their cultural heritage with a wider audience. In addition, social media supports the creative expression of cultural identity that can strengthen a sense of belonging and pride. However, on the other hand, social media also presents challenges, such as cultural homogenisation, threats to local traditions, and reinforcement of negative stereotypes. Conflict and polarisation in online discussions can undermine harmony between cultural communities, while superficial interactions can diminish the value and sustainability of cultural practices. Therefore, users and policymakers need to critically address the role of social media to ensure it supports cultural diversity and progress.]]>

<![CDATA[The study aims to explain the Character Education Method in Surah Luqman Verses 13 & 14. In Surah Luqman verses 13-14, Allah SWT provides guidance on character education, which Luqman taught his son. Verse 13 emphasizes the oneness of Allah (tawhid) and a warning to avoid shirk, which is the main basis of morality in Islam. This message is important for forming a child's understanding of God as the main foundation of moral values. Meanwhile, verse 14 emphasizes the obligation to serve parents as part of noble morals. Through this obligation, children are expected to grow up with an attitude of respect and gratitude, especially for the sacrifices of mothers who care for them from the womb to breastfeeding. Several studies have explored the method of character education taken from this verse. For example, Zubaedy (2018) in the journal Didaktika states that character education that begins with strengthening tawhid and obedience to parents is an important pillar for instilling morals in the younger generation. Interpretations from scholars also support this approach, highlighting that strengthening faith and affection in the family is the foundation for forming a society with strong character. Character education from the perspective of the Qur'an, especially in Surah Luqman verses 13-14, includes two main pillars: tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and respect for parents. Maulana explains that character education based on tawhid forms the basis of ethics and morality for children, because tawhid instills the awareness that all human actions must be based on submission to Allah. This strengthens moral integrity and personal responsibility which are important in character education. Maulana (2020) in his article in the Jurnal Akhlak Mulia. In addition, respect and obedience to parents taught in verse 14 serve as the foundation for social morals. Maulana highlights that the value of devotion to parents reflects the concept of gratitude and appreciation for sacrifice, which is not only important in family life but also relevant to creating a generation that values the values of togetherness and empathy. Maulana also notes that the implementation of this teaching can build children's character based on compassion, respect, and social responsibility.]]>

<![CDATA[The importance of planning is the existence of planning / planning possibilities that will occur for an activity and work in the future The relevance of the concept of planning in the modern era faces various significant challenges and opportunities. This research is included in the type of qualitative research, more precisely descriptive qualitative with library research data sources or literature, whose findings are not achieved by statistical procedures. The purpose of this research is to explore and analyse the concept of planning from the perspective of the Quran contained in Tafsir Al-Azhar. The results of this study indicate that some of the challenges are: rapid technological transformation; global uncertainty; stakeholder participation; limited resources. While the opportunities are: innovation in the planning process; sustainable approach; community involvement; flexibility and resilience. It can be concluded by the researcher that although there are various challenges in maintaining the relevance of planning concepts in modern times, there are also many opportunities for innovation and development. The key to success lies in adaptability and the adoption of more inclusive and sustainable approaches.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to know and analyze in depth the thoughts of Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri, an influential religious and political figure in Indonesia. He was born in 1919, in Purwokerto, Banyumas, Central Java. The focus of this research is more on Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri's thoughts on social and political aspects. The research method used in this research is literature study. The data obtained comes from the collection and analysis of various literature sources related to the thoughts of Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri. These sources are in the form of books, journals, articles that have to do with the thoughts of Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri. The data obtained is then researched, analyzed, and described into narratives and compiled into a complete picture of Prof. K. H. Saifuddin Zuhri's thoughts in the social and political realms. The results showed that Prof. K. H. Saifuddin Zuhri's thought has a significant contribution to the development of Islamic thought in Indonesia, he emphasizes the importance of education as a means to build an advanced and civilized society. In addition, he also emphasizes the importance of tolerance between religious communities and moderate Islam which will foster moderation in religion. In the political context, he supported the guided democratic system and played an active role in fighting for Indonesian independence. In addition, his Islamic nationalism thought shows the harmonization between Islamic values and the spirit of nationality. This research concludes that the thoughts of Prof. K. H. Saifuddin Zuhri are relevant to be studied, especially in the context of Indonesia today. His thoughts can be an inspiration for the younger generation to build a just, prosperous and dignified society and respect each other.]]>

Planning is the first step to achieving goals through the determination of the necessary steps. The purpose of this research is to analyse the verses of planning from the perspective of Al-Quran and al-Hadist. This research is included in the type of qualitative research , more precisely descriptive qualitative with library research data sources or literature, whose findings are not achieved by statistical procedures. The results of this study indicate that Q.S Al-Hasyr Verse 18: This verse calls Muslims to piety and self-reflection in preparation for the hereafter. Piety to Allah is the core of faith, and every action will be accounted for. Q.S Fathir Verse 11: This verse emphasises that the creation of man and all events, including life and death, are within the knowledge and decree of Allah. Q.S Al-Anfal Verse 60: This verse calls for thorough preparation in the face of the enemy, covering various aspects of life, not just military. Planning in the Perspective of Al-Hadith, Rasulullah SAW emphasised the importance of planning in every activity. Hadith teaches that every deed should be planned with clear intentions. He said about time: ‘Be thou in this world as a traveller...’ reminds us to make good use of time. The word about intention: ‘A deed is accompanied by its intention...’ emphasises the importance of intention in every action.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the importance of time in the Qur'an, especially through Surah Al-'Ashr. This research compares Tafsir Al-Misbah by Mohammad Quraish Shihab and Tafsir Al-Azhar by Hamka, providing an opportunity to understand various dimensions of time management from an Islamic perspective. Both interpretations can provide different insights. The purpose of this research is to compare the analysis of time management in QS AL-'Ashr in the interpretations of Al-Misbah and Al-Azhar. Then this research uses a literature study method using a qualitative descriptive approach. This method is a research method by collecting information or data through journals, books, notes, interpretations with other sources. The results of this study explain that Tafsir Al-Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar do have important contributions to the tradition of interpretation in Indonesia, with different characteristics. Similarities: 1) the purpose of interpretation: both aim to provide a deep understanding of the Qur'an as a guide to life; 2) interdisciplinary approach: integrating various disciplines to expand the meaning of the verse; 3) the use of references: referring to classical sources and scholarly opinions, showing commitment to the scientific tradition; 4) social and cultural influences: linking the teachings of the Qur'an with the social and cultural context of society. while for the differences: 1) author and background: al-misbah was written by muhammad quraish shihab with a narrative approach, while al-azhar by buya hamka with a focus on fiqh issues; 2) thematic approach: al-misbah is more thematic and reflective, while al-azhar is systematic and analytical; 3) language style: al-misbah uses poetic language, while al-azhar is more formal and academic; 5) context focus: al-misbah emphasises Indonesian social and cultural issues, while al-azhar is more on religious and legal contexts.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract The correlation between tafsir and ta’wil in the methodology of Qur'anic interpretation aims to understand how these two approaches complement each other in the process of interpreting the verses of the Qur'an. Tafsir generally focuses on the literal and contextual explanation of Qur'anic verses, while ta’wil delves into deeper, esoteric meanings, particularly in ambiguous (mutashabihat) verses. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this research analyzes classical and contemporary exegesis to identify how scholars across different eras combine these approaches. The findings reveal that the correlation between tafsir and ta’wil enriches the overall understanding of the Qur'an. Classical scholars tend to separate tafsir and ta’wil methodologically, whereas contemporary scholars often integrate both approaches to address modern challenges, such as social change and interpretative pluralism. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between tafsir and ta’wil in developing a more comprehensive and relevant method of Qur'anic interpretation in the contemporary era.]]>

<![CDATA[In an increasingly interconnected world, many people, especially children, find it easy to access news and information without critically examining its content. This trend can lead to laziness in reading and understanding, potentially hindering the development of good readers and critical thinkers. The Qur'an, a foundational text in Islamic teaching, emphasizes the importance of reading in the specific section known as Surah Al-Alaq. This research explores the Qur'anic perspective on reading and learning through the interpretative lens of M. Quraish Shihab, a prominent Islamic scholar. The study reveals that literacy extends beyond the mere ability to read and write; it encompasses the capacity to comprehend and critically analyze written content. The research highlights the crucial role of parents in cultivating strong reading habits in children from an early age, enabling them to develop wisdom and intellectual depth. By examining the Qur'anic teachings on reading, this study demonstrates that learning to read critically is fundamental to nurturing an informed and discerning generation. The findings underscore the significance of intentional, thoughtful engagement with text as a means of personal and intellectual growth, drawing inspiration from the Qur'an's first revelation that emphasizes knowledge acquisition.]]>
