Abstract

Access to asset ownership is very urgent because it relates to the ease of a person in living his life. The availability of living assets is directly related to the ability of each individual to achieve a more decent life outcome. These living assets are generally categorized into five types, namely human, cultural, financial, social and physical assets. This research was conducted in Jangka District, Bireuen Regency. The number of samples in this study were 100 fishermen. The sampling method used the Accidental Sampling technique, which is the technique of determining the sample by chance. This study uses primary data obtained through a survey using a questionnaire and secondary data. This data was then analyzed qualitatively descriptively. The results of the study found that most of the fishermen were of productive age, had secondary education, quite experienced, used my own financial sources, access to credit was still difficult, had great motivation to improve their standard of living, and the influence of the traditional panglima laot institution was still strong. The main source of capital for the fishermen is borrowing from the owner, cooperatives and only a few have their own capital. But most fishermen have savings, and they save money in the banks, social gatherings, cooperatives and at home, and this is done to save for their lives in the future. Based on physical assets, most fishermen have nets as fishing tools, many use 5-10 GT and 10-20 GT motorboats as fishing boats. Ownership status of fishing boats most fishermen use jointly by riding and renting. From social assets, most fishermen join fishermen's organizations or groups, and a small number of fishermen have positions in the community. The family relationship between them is also close.

Abstract

In this research, the Fama and French model is used with five independent variables with data from 100 sample shares to explain the influence of these five independent variables on returns. This observation was carried out using quantitative methods for company financial reports which included a sample of 100 shares during the period January 2006 – December 2015. The total number of research samples was 100 (one hundred) companies that consistently had market capitalization values and share prices during the research period. The results of the research show that Market premium (market premium) is significantly positive explaining portfolio excess returns, size (size premium) is significantly positive explaining portfolio excess returns, value (value premium) is significantly positive explaining portfolio excess returns, profitability (profitability premium) is not significantly explaining portfolio excess return, and investment (investment premium) are significantly negative in explaining portfolio excess return. Suggestions for future researchers are to conduct research using more data to obtain a higher level of accuracy, such as increasing the number of companies and extending the research period to more than 10 years. Then you should choose a research period that does not involve certain conditions or phenomena, because in this research period, namely 2006 to 2015, there was a crisis in 2007-2009, which had an impact on investor behavior in considering investing. It is hoped that this will provide better research results.

Abstract

Simalungun Regency is the 4th highest beef producing district in North Sumatra thus making Simalungun Regency very potential in fattening cattle. This study aims to determine the difference between the advantages of fattening cattle using super sheeds and madras sheeds in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. The data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative with statistical analysis tools independent sample t-test. The results showed that the profits of the super breeders of cattle fattening business were not the same as the Madras breeds with the average profit per kg obtained by super breeders of cattle fattening of Rp. 466/kg, while the average profit per kg obtained by Madras cattle fattening breeders is Rp. 1,391/kg. This result can be strengthened by the value of t arithmetic (17.011) > t table (2.048) and p value (0.000) < α (0.025), so it can be concluded that the profit of fattening cattle on super breeds is not the same as that of madras seedlings.
