Abstract

Abstract.Garbage is commonly found in public places which become a public health problem because public place is a meeting place of all kinds of society with all kinds of diseases possessed by the society. Trash is also included in the waste. Where waste is all solid and liquid materials are discharges derived from human activities individually as well as the results of other activity activities. This type of research is used by observation (direct observation) by using descriptive method. Sources of waste contained in Bali Zoo come from visitors or from activities or activities carried out at Bali Zoo Wildlife Park. Where from the implementation of the research obtained results that is on the solid waste management (garbage) obtained results meet the requirements while in the liquid waste is said not to qualify. The conclusion of this research is the number of waste management facilities that need to be considered, such as waste bins that do not have a lid and the absence of waste water treatment plant facilities in Bali Zoo.Keywords: waste, sanitation, wildlife park

Abstract

Abstract. Water is one of human need, availability and existence of water source should be preserved and protected from pollution. The purpose of this research to know the quality of water from "Yeh Sana" springs. The method of this research is descriptive. The results obtained are the physical parameters temperature 26,50C, TDS 300 mg/l, turbidity 2 NTU, no taste, odorless, colorless, chemical parameters pH 6,5, Nitrite 0.05 mg/l, Nitrate 10 mg/l, iron 0.3 mg/l, hardness 60 mg/l, and bacteriological parameters E. Coli 0/100 ml sample and Coliform 2.2/100 ml sample. Observation of water pollutant risk factors in "Yeh Sana" springs. A value of 2.2 from coliform indicates the presence of waste that can contaminate waters from animal and leaves. Concluded the water from "Yeh Sana" springs qualifies the quality of physics, chemical quality and does not qualify microbiological quality. Recommended for the community to cook water before drinking, always keep the springs clean, make a of protection of the springs. Keywords:, springs, water, water quality

Abstract

Abstract:The high cases of DHF are strongly influenced by environmental factors that include geographical and demographic conditions. These factors are very influential on the population density of Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes. The presence of larva Aedes Aegypti in a region is an indicator of the presence of Aedes Aegypti mosquito populations in the area so that it can lead to the occurrence of cases of DHF, therefore the eradication strategy needs to be done through mosquitoes eradication activities (PSN) by the community continuously and periodically. The purpose of this research is to know the review of Mosquito Nest (PSN) and Aedes aegypti investation level in Padang Sambian Kaja Subdistrict, West Denpasar District. The type of descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The number of samples is 97 people with random sampling method. Data collection by doing larvae and kusioner examination. Result of research got result of implementation of eradication of mosquito nest by society in sub district of Padang Sambian Kaja District of West Denpasar mostly in less category that is counted 41 person (42,3%). The index of Aedes Aegypti Infestation Level record in Padang Sambian Kaja Village is included in the high risk of HI = 82.97%, CI = 19.61%, and BI = 156.70%. Suggestion to involve the community in larva examination by forming cadres jumantik so it can perform periodic larvae examination at each region.

Abstract

One of communicable disease in Indonesia is Dengue Hemorhaggic Fever caused by the dengue virus and transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti. Various efforts have been made to eradicate the vector control is by either biological, physical and chemical. One of them by exploiting the basil leave extract as a chemical organic control. The purpose of this searching was knows analysis effectiveness power kill extract basil leave in Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. Type of research is a true experimental design. The research was conducted by providing extract basil leave in various concentrations 7%, 8%, and 9% to the container 25 larvae with 48 hours contact, replication measure in two time control and three replication. Kill ability of extract basil leave in this research will be tested by Kruskall wallis with sig 0,04 analysis result has describe that there were determination doses variety against Aedes aegypti larvae mortality. The resume of researching show that at doses 7% is a dose that is already effective because able to kill half of the number of test or larvae LD50, with an average death of 18 individuals with a percentage of death 73%. Suggestions to the public to use organic pesticides for eradication DBD.

Abstract

Abstract : Tuberculosis is an infectious disease of human caused by a species of mycrobacterium mainly infecting the lungs. Mycrobacterium germs are easy to breed in places with poor environmental conditions poor home conditions influenced by sanitation. The porpused of this study to find out the relation of house sanitation with the incidence of tuberculosis in the working area of Puskesmas II West Denpasar. This research is an observation research with case control. Variables in house sanitation namely the level of lighting, humidity, ventilation, temperature and density. The data obtained were tested by chi square test obtained result correlation lighting level (p value = 0,000), humidity (p value = 0,000), ventilation (p value = 0,000) temperature (p value = 0,066) and density (p value = 0,472) with incidence of tuberculosis in working area of Puskesmas II West Denpasar in 2018. It is recommended that homeowners open windows regularly to prevent TB transmission

Abstract

Abstract : Handwashing with soap is able to reduce diarrhea by as much as 45%, but the use of soap for hand washing only reaches about 3% of the entire community. Counseling is very important to increase the knowledge, attitude and practice of students in maintaining their own health. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of using lecture method with lecture method combination of video media to knowledge and action of handwashing with soap at Public Elementary School 1 Dawan Klod. The type of research used is Pre Experimental research type with The One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this research is all the students of class II and III in Public Elementary School 1 Dawan Klod with the sample of research as many as 44 respondents. Data analysis using Mann Whitney test. The result of the research shows that there is no difference in the use of lecture method with video lecture method on knowledge and action handwashing with soap students (p value of knowledge = 0,283 and action = 0,361). Suggestions that can be given to Puskesmas can use lecture and video methods to improve the achievement of health promotion goals to school children about hand washing.

Abstract

Abstract: North Ubung Village is one area that has 6 (six) water springs. One of them is the Taman Beji water spring located at Jalan Kendedes Denpasar. This water spring is used by local people for drinking water. In this water spring quality checks have been done, but that is not found. The purpose of this research is to know the physical, chemical and microbiological qualities of Taman Beji North Ubung Village Denpasar. The type of research used to descriptive research. The population and samples in this research is Taman Beji water spring North Ubung Village. Data collected in this research are primary and secondary data. The data were collected using laboratory equipment to measure the physical, chemical and microbiological qualities of Taman Bejis water and the eye protection inspection sheet to assess the protection of the Taman Beji water spring. Physical and microbiological measurements were performed twice (2) an chemical measurement was performed only one (1) time. Based on the results obtained that the physical parameter of Taman Bejis water with temperature 280C dan 290C, the same turbidity results in two measurements of 0,11 NTU, chemical parameter that Ph 7 and hardness 60 mg/l, microbiological parameter of Taman Bejis water measured as much twice with results is Eschericia coli 0/100 ml sample and Total Coliform Bacteria 0/100 ml sample. So that the water of Taman Beji is qualify of Permenkes No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 about Water Quality Requirement. It is recommended for the community and village apparatus to fix PMA Taman Beji to avoid pollution and not to cause water borne disease if the water is consumed by the community. Keywords : Physical Quality; Chemistry and Water Microbiology
