Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning and physics learning outcomes for students in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 4 Jambi city. This research is a descriptive quantitative correlational type. The independent variable used in this study is interest in learning physics while learning outcomes are the dependent variable. The population used is students of class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, and XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Jambi city. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, namely a sample with a 90% confidence level with a sample size of 60 students. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire and test questions. Technical analysis of prerequisite test data carried out include normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test with the help of SPSS 21 software. The results of hypothesis testing using product moment correlation test with the help of SPSS 21 software at 95% significance level = 0.05 n = 60 obtained value Pearson correlation 1 means that there is a correlation between interest and learning outcomes, then H0 is rejected. This means that H1 is accepted, that is, there is a positive and significant relationship between perceptions and learning outcomes of physics students in class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, and XI MIPA 3 in high school. State 4 Jambi City.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap terhadap fisika siswa di SMAN 2 Kota Jambi dimana dilihat dari 3 indikator Metodologi: Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 siswa. Temuan utama: Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah analisis sikap siswa terhadap fisika dimana akan dilihat dari 3 indikator yaitu indikator kesenangan belajar fisika, ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika, dan ketertarikan berkarir di bidang fisika dimana dari hasil penelitian siswa berada pada kategori cukup sehingga siswa sudah memiliki sikap terhadap fisika yang cukup dan perlu terus ditingkatkan sehingga membuat siswa akan mampu bersikap posititf terhadap pembelajaran fisika. Keterbaruan penelitian: Keterbaruan penelitian ini adalah dalam menganalisis sikap terhadap fisika dimana sakan dianalsiis sikap terhadp fisika didasarkan akan 3 indikator.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIPA di SMAN 1 Kota Jambi. Metodologi: Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA di SMAN 1 Kota Jambi. Temuan utama: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIA di SMAN 1 Kota Jambi pada karakterinstik sikap sangat tidak baik dengan skor nilai 25.0 – 45.0 memiliki persentase 0 %. Pada karakterinstik sikap tidak baik dengan skor 45.1 – 65.0 memiliki persentase 0 % , selanjutnya pada karakterinstik cukup baik dengan skor 65.1 – 85.0 memiliki persentase 13.9 % dan pada karakterinstik sikap baik dengan skor 85.1 – 105 memiliki persentase 60.8 %, juga yang terakhir pada karakteristik sikap sangat baik dengan skor 105.1 – 125 memiliki presentase 25.3 %. Keterbaruan penelitian: Penelitian ini menunjukkan kualitas siswa dalam belajar fisika berdasarkan hasil deskripsi motivasi siswa dalam belajar Fisika.

Abstract

Research objectives: This study aims to obtain the results of the analysis of the implementation of the Problem Solving learning model and its correlation to students' critical thinking skills and to see the relationship between the implementation of the model and the critical thinking skills of class XI students of SMKN 3 Jambi City on thermochemical material. Methodology: This research is a correlational type of quantitative research. The sample was determined by a simple random sampling technique by means of a lottery. The research instrument was in the form of an observation sheet consisting of an observation sheet on the implementation of the Problem Solving model and students' critical thinking skills and posttest on student learning outcomes. The data were analyzed to see the correlation between the implementation of the Problem Solving model on students' critical thinking skills by using the Product Moment correlation test and the significance test using the t test. Main findings: The results of the study prove that there is a correlation between the implementation of the Problem Solving model on students' critical thinking skills. The novelty of this research is to represent the relationship of two variables, namely the use of problem solving models with students' critical thinking skills. Novelty This Research: This study shows that the problem solving learning model has a significant relationship with critical thinking skills. Therefore, it is recommended to use this model in learning.

Abstract

Research objectives: This study aims to determine the differences in the results of mathematical communication skills between students who were treated with the role playing learning model and students who were treated with the direct learning model. Methodology: This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sample studied was 64 students, consisting of 32 students in the experimental class (VII E) and 32 students in the control class (VII D). Analysis of the data used to determine the differences in the results of learning communication using the t test. Main findings: The results of this study were first carried out by calculating the n-gain, namely the calculation of the increase in the average pretest and posttest in both classes and the experimental class n-gain was 0.71 and the control class n-gain was 0.61, then the experimental class and control class calculation of mathematical communication skills in the form of writing obtained tcount > ttable that is 5,4266 > 1,6699. So that the average mathematical communication ability of students by learning the role playing model is higher than the mathematical communication ability of students with direct learning. This shows that there is a difference between students' mathematical communication skills in writing in the experimental class and the control class. The novelty of the research: The novelty of this research is to examine how students communicate mathematically in written form.

Abstract

Research objectives: This study aims to determine the difference in self-efficacy of students who are treated with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approaches and direct learning models. Methodology: This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was class VIII A with the treatment of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and class VIII B with a direct learning model to see its effect on self-efficacy. The instruments in this study were self-efficacy questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using two-party t-test. Main findings: The results showed that there were differences in self-efficacy between students who were treated with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and students who were treated with the direct learning model. So it can be concluded that the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach has a significant influence on students' self-efficacy on function material. The Novelty of research: With this research, it can be used as an alternative in learning mathematics and is able to influence students' self-efficacy in mathematics.
