Abstract

Diversified opinions on the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccine have necessitated investigation on the pharmacovigilance strategies used to manage COVID-19 vaccine information and perception of health information managers. Narrative research design was adopted while structured interview was used to collect data from respondents and qualitative data analysis technique was employed. Total enumeration was adopted to gather data from eight (8) purposively selected health information managers in the Ministry of Health, Kwara State. The study revealed that majority of the respondents are aware of pharmacovigilance and COVID-19 vaccine information are managed through WHO guideline. Virtual meetings, emergency preparedness and response are some opportunities provided for COVID-19 vaccines information management. Vaccine hesitancy, non-compliance to usage-regulations, misinformation and overwhelmed facility were identified as challenges with acceptance of the vaccine. The study thus recommended that pharmacovigilance be enhanced among health information managers using advance information management technology.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to combine mapping analysis with VOSviewer as well as Publish or Perish software to do a computerized bibliometric analysis of the topic "E-Groceries Analysis." The method used descriptive-quantitative approach in conjunction with bibliometric analysis in which the data were retrieved from Google Scholar. Based on the results, E-Groceries Analysis research decreases every year, proven by the fact that 2018 have 25 articles and increased to 32 articles in 2019, 49 articles in 2020, and 98 articles in 2021. Based on further findings of this research, it can be concluded that there are several understudied sectors in E-Groceries Analysis that may be examined further to increase the efficacy of E-Groceries analysis. This research is also anticipated to serve as a reference for future research in defining and assessing the research subject, as well as a reference for field to be studied in E-Groceries analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to build a game to help beginner musicians in the process of training ear sensitivity to intervals without involving the teacher in the training process. The software development uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. A software is built in the form of a game that can train the ear's sensitivity to intervals, share knowledge related to intervals, randomize questions and validate answers without involving the teacher in the learning process. The average respondents' answers related to the application were positive. It can be concluded that the development of the application can help users in training the ear sensitivity to intervals and increase the user's knowledge of music theory, especially related to intervals.

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become an integral part of modern society, and its applications are not limited to the business and industry sectors alone. The effective use of ICT in schools depends on the availability of appropriate infrastructure and resources. The current research aims to examine the extent to which ICT tools enhance the effectiveness of instructional delivery in secondary schools in Kwara State. This study used a survey research method to conduct a systematic inquiry into a subject. Five research questions will guide the study using qualitative data collection methods. The study will be conducted in three randomly selected secondary schools in Kwara State with a sample of 150 teachers and 60 school leaders participating. The questionnaire used was titled ICT Applications as supervisory tools for effective instructional delivery. The qualitative data will be collected through in-depth interviews with 150 teachers and 60 school administrators in the selected schools. The findings advocate that ICTs have the potential to improve the quality of education and enhance the learning experiences of students. The study also highlights the challenges that teachers face in the use of ICT and the need for the government and other stakeholders to address these challenges to ensure the effective use of ICTs in education.

Abstract

In the rapidly advancing world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), various industries have recognized and started to harness technology's transformative power, especially when it comes to data management and processing. One significant component of this technological evolution is Enterprise Architecture (EA). This offers a structured framework for integrating vast amounts of data across large-scale systems. However, an area that remains somewhat untapped is the application of EA within the educational sector, which presents its own unique set of ICT challenges. This research seeks to address and bridge this knowledge gap. It takes an in-depth look at how EA, utilizing the TOGAF ADM framework, can be implemented in educational settings. Through a series of structured interviews conducted at SMA St. Bellarminus, the research aims to tailor the institution's information systems architecture to its specific and nuanced needs. While there have been previous studies that touched upon organizational systems and structures, our research distinguishes itself by modifying and adapting the TOGAF ADM approach to cater explicitly to educational environments. As the digital realm continues to expand and evolve, it's imperative for educational institutions to have the tools and methodologies in place to stay relevant and efficient in this ever-changing landscape.

Abstract

Criminals often escape punishment due to delayed sharing of information with law enforcement agencies. The traditional method of reporting crimes is slow, thus, the need for a faster and modern approach, one that uses modern technology to apprehend perpetrators. It is therefore important to have a well-organized system for reporting criminal activities. This system should be free and easily accessible to the public. With information being delivered promptly and remotely, there is no need for visits to police stations, which can be time-consuming and tedious. This project aims to curb criminal activities by developing a smartphone application that enables victims or witnesses to report real-time information to security agencies, including GPS coordinates. The use of real-time data would prompt quick responses in emergency situations and make reactions proactive rather than reactive. The proposed methodology for the project involves designing and developing a user-friendly mobile app as well as a professional web application for security agencies. The creation of an integration platform allows for the registration of police stations and staff members. Feedback from users would help maintain and improve upon the app. Ultimately, this project aims at increasing public safety and improving crime reporting and management in Ghana by using modern technologies. By enabling citizens to report crimes in real-time, the mobile application has the potential to revolutionize crime reporting and foster a safer and secure environment. By collaborating with law enforcement agencies, the proposed solution can help provide a more efficient and proactive crime reporting system in Ghana.

Abstract

The use of multiple choice questions in exams remains a common choice in education for various reasons, such as ease of assessment, perceived objectivity, and the ability to provide rapid feedback especially in large classes. Research shows that the use of multiple choice questions can strengthen retention of information, especially involving alternative wrong answers, as well as measure students' basic understanding in various subjects. However, to create quality multiple choice questions, an in-depth evaluation of the question elements is required, including item analysis to ensure the validity, reliability and fairness of the assessment. The results of this research using quantitative descriptive methods show that most of the questions can be improved, while a small number need to be rejected. The research conclusions suggest that rejected items should not be reused, while items that need to be corrected should be improved to improve the overall quality of the exam. Thus, analyzing the quality of multiple choice questions is crucial for increasing the effectiveness of assessment, especially in higher education contexts such as nursing and medical education.
