Abstract

This research aims to create Augmented Reality about basic physics practicum tutorials on the Sound Wave Resonance module in the Department of Computer Systems at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) based on Android. The advantages of this technology can be used as a medium of online learning if there is an emergency that results in not implementing conventional learning so that learning activities remain effective. This application program is intended to facilitate the Lecturer / Laboratory Assistant in presenting the material as well as attracting student learning interest in practicum learning. The method used in this study was a qualitative method by describing the condition of the Basic Physics Laboratory in the computer engineering department, and the system development method used is the paradigm method, Waterfall. Data was collected through interviews with the Chair of the Basic Physics Laboratory. This study results obtained an information system that allows the practitioner to compare the calculations' results mathematically with the application, and practicum can understand the material easily and fun.

Abstract

Universitas XYZ mengedepankan Teknologi Informasi sebagai dasar operasinya. Dengan kinerja TI yang baik diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja universitas sehingga sasaran dan tujuan perusahaan dapat tercapai. Akan tetapi sampai saat ini penerapannya belum sepenuhnya dapat mendukung proses bisnis yang ada, dan belum dapat memberikan kontribusi yang maksimal terhadap bisnis. pihak manajemen (rektorat) juga ingin mengetahui dan memastikan apakah inisiatif-inisiatif TI yang sudah, sedang atau akan dilaksanakan sudah sesuai dengan strategi organisasi. Universitas XYZ seharusnya menerapkan TI tidak hanya sebagai pendukung kegiatan bisnis akan tetapi menerapkannya sebagai bagian dari strategi bisnis. Pada Penelitian ini, dinilai kesesuaian stretegi TI terhadap bisnis di Universitas XYZ menggunakan SAMM (Strategic Alignment Maturity Model) diperkenalkan oleh Luftman, model SAMM dibuat berdasarkan pengembangan dari 12 komponen pada model SAM Henderson dan Venkatraman dan hasil penelitian Luftman yang mengidentifikasikan faktor-faktor yang menjadi pemicu (enabler) dan penghambat (inhibitor) terhadap keselarasan antara bisnis dengan TI.

Pada tesis ini, dinilai kesesuaian stretegi TI terhadap bisnis di Universitas Komputer Indonesia menggunakan SAMM (Strategic Alignment Maturity Model) diperkenalkan oleh Luftman, model SAMM dibuat berdasarkan pengembangan dari 12 komponen pada model SAM Henderson dan Venkatraman dan hasil penelitian Luftman yang mengidentifikasikan faktor-faktor yang menjadi pemicu (enabler) dan penghambat (inhibitor) terhadap keselarasan antara bisnis dengan TI. Tingkat kematangan kesesuaian strategi TI dan bisnis di Unversitas Komputer Indonesia berada pada level 3 (Nilai rata-rata 2.67). Secara keseluruhan tingkat kematangan kesesuaian antara TI dan bisnis saat ini berada pada tingkat 3 atau proses terfokus ditetapkan (Establish Process). Dan tingkat kematangan kesesuaian TI – bisnis yang diharapkan berada pada tingkat 4 atau proses yang diatur (improved/managed process). Dari keenam atribut pengukuran yang di nilai area pengukuran area pengukuran lingkup dan arsitektur (SAR) memiliki nilai terkecil 2. Sedangkan tata kelola (GOV) memperoleh nilai tertinggi yaitu 3; Perbaikan diprioritaskan pada beberapa poin dimana terdapat kesenjangan antara TI dengan Bisnis, kesenjangan terjadi pada atribut komunikasi poin 1 dan 2.

Abstract

This research aims to design a game app design that can help increase children's interest in learning English. The research method used descriptive qualitative by looking at early childhood learning during this pandemic, especially learning English, with additional data from literature studies. The system development method uses the waterfall method consisting of five stages: Requirement Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, Maintenance, and object approach method with tools such as use case, activity diagram, and interface design to produce an orderly system. The design of the game application is named GUTHEWORDS. It is expected to help increase children's interest in learning English to guess vocabulary such as animal names and numbers in English to help improve teaching success by making the teaching method fun and interesting for children. Through the implementation of learning through this game, it is expected to make it easier for children to learn to read, remember and hear some vocabulary in English well, also expected to explore the potential, creativity, and interest of children in learning English.

Abstract

This research aimed to design a webinar platform that can help the deaf understand information while attending online seminars using sign language interpreter features. That way, the deaf will have no difficulty understanding the material being delivered by the speaker. This research method used descriptive methods to describe the problems faced by deaf webinar participants, where the difficulty met when attending online seminars using webinar media. In general, webinar applications lack sign language interpreting features, confusing webinar participants with hearing loss in understanding what the speaker is talking about. This webinar platform can display sign language translators according to the sentences spoken by the speaker. These study results are expected to help create a webinar platform with features that make it easier for participants with hearing disabilities to understand the material quickly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show reports that revealed small businesses in Indonesia have many concerns about survival, competitiveness, and efficiency due to related issues such as finance, lack of information and knowledge, capabilities and capacity. This research is based on problems related to IT implementation in Indonesia. It determines the problems associated with implementation and identifies factors for successful IT implementation in Indonesia. The descriptive qualitative method with literature review was carried out to obtain data that has been changed in the form of book notes, newspapers, agendas, inscriptions, minutes of meetings, and magazines. This study intends to be a reference in the development of small businesses in Indonesia who are very concerned about the development of technology that can improve small businesses to utilize social media as promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in supporting the management of food supply chains (FSCs) in the food industry. This research used qualitative research methods. The results obtained from this study are increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the existing food supply chain in the food industry by applying the IoT concept to food supply chain management. These results can be obtained because the IoT concept is supported by various systems and technologies that can be implemented and developed so that IoT can help identify and deal with existing problems more quickly while being able to assist in the decision-making process with information obtained through IoT technology so that it will support development food supply chain management in the food industry. This study was conducted to see how much influence the internet of things (IoT) has on food supply chain management in the food industry.

Abstract

In this digital era, product quality cannot be separated from aesthetics, those who are responsible for the beauty of product appearance are UI/UX Design and FrontEnd. Therefore, this study aims to find out what distinguishes UI/UX from FrontEnd and the correlation between UI/UX to FrontEnd. The method that this research uses is descriptive by presenting a complete picture of a particular situation based on facts, theories, and accurate reference sources with previous research. The results show that the presence of a UI/UX Designer can affect FrontEnd in the design/development of information systems. The main influence it has is in terms of appearance being more interactive as well as attractive. Even so, the position of FrontEnd cannot be replaced by a UI/UX Designer, because it is FrontEnd here who will implement the design and ensure that the aesthetics and functionality of the system run well.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the use of smart home system technology is on properties; smart home systems can make it easier for users to control functions automatically. The research method used is a qualitative method in order to find out in depth how effective the use of the smart home system technology is. Along with the development of the times, technology also accompanies the property in terms of security, comfort, convenience, and cleanliness. Since the COVID-19 pandemic came, we have found that facilities that use smart home system technology are urgently needed at this time, because during the pandemic, work and learning activities turn into online activities. This research shows that the effectiveness of smart home system technology can make work and study activities more effective.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that have confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 11, 2020. Where all sectors are mainly engaged in the culinary and hospitality industry due to the implementation of Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) that there are health protocol rules implemented by the government and a new adjustment to the building concept design. Café shall make innovation to survive from this pandemic. The research method used direct physical observation and literature studies. So that it can be seen the design concept that is feasible in this New Normal. The results of this study indicate that the café design concept has changed in accordance with the application of health protocols in the New Normal so as to create a building that is able to adapt to new habits that keep social activities safe during the pandemic. The main concept applied is the application of open space concept in a building and technology that can support cafe facilities. In the use of this open space concept, apart from creating larger open spaces, more openings, for the sake of circulation and lighting, touchless sensor technology, and layout of furniture designs to produce a design concept in a café. Accordance with the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Open space concept in the new normal period is to improve the quality of a building that is healthy and good in terms of aesthetics and functionality, but can still support the COVID-19 virus chain breaker program.
