Abstract

Electronic Journal is a term used to describe scientific papers published in digital form that can be accessed using the internet. This study aims to determine the pattern of utilization and inhibiting factors in utilizing the printed and electronic journals of Cambridge and Emerald by users at the UPT Library of the State University of Medan. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation, then data analysis techniques used three stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. This research was conducted at the UPT Library of the State University of Medan. The results of this study indicate that in the use of printed and electronic journals, Cambridge and Emerald have been used by users in their daily needs to serve as references in fulfilling lecture assignments, research reports, and seeking the latest information. There are several obstacles faced in utilizing the printed and electronic journals of Cambridge and Emerald such as the internet network, accuracy in determining the subject, electronic journals that were found to be unsubscribed and in English.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of organizational communication in extra and intra-campus on students' public speaking skills . The research was conducted using quantitative research methods . The population used were students of the 2018 Stambuk Communication Science Department as many as 361 people at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) Medan , and using a purposive sampling technique , with the slovin formula with an error rate of 10% and the sample being studied was 79 respondents. through the distribution of questionnaires. The results of this study on the t test stated that organizational communication has a t count> T table (97.34 > 1.99125) with a significance level (0.05), then H0 is Rejected and Ha Accepted, meaning that communication extra and intra-campus organization affect the ability of public speaking students.

Abstract

In an effort to realize customer loyalty to Islamic banks, it is necessary to realize the determinants of customer loyalty of Islamic banks. This study aims to determine what factors determine the loyalty of Islamic bank customers in Indonesia. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods, namely content analysis of papers from the google schoolar database and interviews using in-depth interview techniques. The results showed that the factors that influence the loyalty of Islamic bank customers are action, attitude, attention, corporate image, customer bonding, customer relationship, customer social responsibility, determinants of brand equity, good corporate governance, price, employees, emotional intelligence, intelligence. intellectual, spiritual intelligence, trust, customer satisfaction, commitment, communication, service quality, Islamic service quality, location, customer value, conflict handling, perceived value, product, professionalism, promotion, religiosity, social responsibility and transparency. The results of interviews with Islamic Banking Graduate Students there are other factors that determine customer loyalty, namely bank guarantees and legality.

Abstract

Investment is an activity to invest funds in a company that is carried out by investors within a certain period of time with the expectation of future results. One type of investment in the capital market. However, there are studies which state that there are deviations or anomalies in the concept of efficient markets. This research is a qualitative research by conducting a literature study of 32 papers from a search on the Google Scholar database with the keyword “Abnormal Return” or Anomalies and Return and “Sharia Shares” in the period 2017 to 2021. The search process uses the help of the Publish Or Perish application. Furthemore, the research was conducted by interviewing S2 Syariah Banking students in 2021 at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The results of this study indicate that there are several types of return anomalies that occur in Islamic stocks, Firm Anomalies, January Effect, Day of the Week Effect, Accounting Anomalies, Holiday Effect. However, this anomaly of Islamic stock returns does not always occur in Islamic stocks in Indonesia.

Abstract

Research on the factors that influence customer interest in saving in Islamic banks is inseparable from two factors, namely service and product quality. The development of Islamic Banks can be clearly observed that Banks operating by implementing systems based on sharia principles are able to answer the needs desired by customers. The development of Islamic banks itself does not escape the behavior of consumers who believe in the quality and quantity of products offered by banks. Behavior reflects the satisfaction received as a customer to the bank as a place to collect and manage their funds. Consumer behavior is a reflection of the behavior of customers in expressing the feelings received by the services they receive as customers.

Abstract

This research discusses about Library Cooperation in Efforts to Develop Collections at the Library of the State Islamic High School (STAIN) Mandailing Natal. This study aims to find out how library collaboration is in an effort to develop collections at the State Islamic High School Library (STAIN) Mandailing Natal. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques through three stages, namely, data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that 1. The Mandailing Natal STAIN Library in an effort to develop collections has collaborated with several agencies such as the BI Corner, and the National Library of Indonesia. 2. The follow-up to the collaboration between the library and the BI Corner has been well realized, both parties have benefited, the STAIN Mandailing Natal Library has benefited from the collaboration, namely the reading corner and 175 book titles and 215 copies, BI Corner as a means of promotion and socialization to the public about Bank Indonesia. Several electronic journals from the National Library of Indonesia, while the National Library of Indonesia has not received feedback from the STAIN Library. 3. In collaborating, the STAIN Mandailing Natal Library experienced many obstacles, namely in the field of collections that were still limited, facilities and technology were still inadequate and lack of human resources. To minimize the obstacles in the collaboration that will be carried out next, the library has not made any efforts because it is still focused on inputting library materials into slims.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts made by the Public Relations of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra in disseminating information during the Covid-19 pandemic and to find out the strategies and obstacles of the Public Relations of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra in disseminating information during the Covid-19 pandemic. Theories used in this research are information theory, information media theory, Public Relations and dissonance theory. The subjects of this study were the employees of the Head of the Public Relations Division and the Public Relations Executive of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra who managed the dissemination of information. The location of this research was carried out at the Public Relations Bureau of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra starting from July 5, 2021 until its completion. The method used in this research is the Qualitative Method. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The result of this research is that the role of Public Relations of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Public Relations of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra has carried out its role well. This role was very clear when the State Islamic University of North Sumatra opened registration for new student candidates. This proves that public interest continues to increase with the information provided by Public Relations. Of course, the role of public relations is supported by the communication strategy used by public relations through social media to disseminate information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the variables and the effect of promotion through Instagram on library utilization. Instagram is the most influential social media in library promotion because Instagram is easily accessible by anyone and is usually owned by everyone, business entities and certain organizations. The respondents in this research amounted to 76 people. This type of research uses an explanatory research method with a quantitative approach using simple linear analysis and descriptive statistical analysis as a statistical measurement tool with the SPSS version 20 software application. The methods of data collection uses questionnaires and literature study. The results of this research indicate that promotion throught Instagram has an effect on library utilization at the STIPAP Medan Library.

Abstract

The economy is one of the many sectors that have a very important role in the life of a country. In the case of Indonesia in the micro economy, banking plays a role as a source of financing, while in the macro (global) economy, banking contributes greatly to economic growth and controlling inflation. Economic growth and banking activities are of course interconnected in such a way that the growth of the banking sector is influenced by the conditions of economic growth itself. About sharia banking, Law Number 21/2008 in its article contains that sharia banking is everything related to sharia business units in sharia banks, including groups/institutions, business activities, as well as ways and processes of running a business based on the principles of sharia banking. -Sharia principles consist of Sharia Commercial Banks (BUS) and Sharia People's Financing Banks (BPRS). With this dual banking system, it is intended that banking institutions can carry out dual operational activities at the same time, namely interest-based banks and non-interest-based banks. Banks that transform their systems with sharia principles will automatically adopt sharia principles in their operational activities. Meanwhile, for banks whose operations are both carried out at the same time, the technical operations are regulated in such a way, especially considering the interaction of interest-based activities, which is different from the concept of Islamic banking, whose activities are free of interest so that the two can, of course, be distinguished. The implementation of the Dual banking system has in indicators of the financial performance of Islamic banks such as CAR, ROA, NPF, FDR, and BOPO to become the focus of this research when the dual system is carried out side by side. Profitability, of course, cannot be ruled out from every business activity that is carried out, including Islamic banking. FDR and ROA are very important financial indicators in bank performance and have a direct impact on the bank's business, including Islamic banks.

This research is motivated by the right that we as living beings who participate in living on earth are obliged to protect and preserve the environment for a long, healthy and prosperous life. Referring to this, if we observe further, the mistakes or actions committed by humans with the capacity to damage or pollute the environment are usually more to cover up what they have done, even though it is clear that actions that are categorized as destructive must be very dangerous and risky for themselves to human beings. another life. The research method used is a normative juridical and sociological juridical research method. normative juridical law research is aimed at written documents sourced from legislation such as: the Criminal Code, Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, and the Qur'an, and the Legal Dictionary. While sociological juridical see the law appears in the reality in society, see the effectiveness of the law that is currently in effect providing protection against environmental destruction. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the legal arrangements for the elements of error in environmental crimes. To find out and analyze the factors that cause environmental destruction. The results of this study can be used as material for further studies to contribute ideas for the development of criminal law, especially on the element of error in environmental crimes. As for the practical benefits of this research, namely for law enforcement officers in the criminal justice system, this research is expected to provide input for policy makers in the formulation and legislation related to criminal law, especially in the environmental field.
