Abstract

Ultisols has an advanced degree of development, characterized by deep profil, increase of clay fraction along with the depth of soil, soil acidity, and low base saturation. Low pH, low nutrient elements such as nitrogen, phosphor, and potassium, low availability of organic carbon, Ca, Mg, Na, cation exchange capacity (CEC), base saturation are the characteristic of post bauxite mining land. The land that was formerly bauxite mining process by removing of a layer of top soil until the layer that contains the seeds of bauxite called post bauxite mining land. Coastal sediment is sediment which contains quite high micro nutrients with low CEC so by the addition of coastal sediment expected to increase base saturation and soil fertility. Cow manure is one of the alternative to improve the fertility of the soil. This study get analyzed by Complete Randomize Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. A Treatment (control), B treatment (1.5 kg coastal sediment + 2.5 kg of manure), C treatment (2.4 kg coastal sediment + 4 kg of manure), the last D treatment (3.3 kg coastal sediment + manure). This research analyzed with the F test, if significant continued with Tukey’s Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at the 5% level to obtain the difference between treatments. Based on the result, combination of Coastal sediment and cow manure from the C treatment (2.4 kg coastal sediment + 4 kg manure) able to increase pH of soil up to 6.68, which is the highest pH among the other treatments. Keywords : Ultisols, coastal sediment, cow manure, bauxite mining.

Abstract

ABSTRACTInformation about the stock of mangrove crabs (Scylla tranquebarica) in West Kalimantan is still very minimal, especially in Kubu Village, Kubu District. The purpose of this study is to estimate the stock of S. tranquebarica the catch of the fishermen from the Village of Kubu sub-District, Kubu Kubu Raya District of West Kalimantan Province. The method used for sampling was the Census method in which the samples to be observed were all the catch of mangrove crabs in 2 (two) collectors in Kubu Village. Sampling of S. tranquebarica was carried out at once time interval in biweekly for 4 (four) months. This study was conducted in September-December 2018. Based on the results of the study, S. tranquebarica which was caught during the study were 413 crabs, in which male crabs were caught of 301 crabs and female crabs of 112 crabs. The distribution of the frequency width of the carapace of male crabs observed ranges from 95-60 mm with a weight of 185-1279 grams, while the females range from 100 to 150 mm and the weight of the 214-962 grams. The relationship of the width and the weight of S. tranquebarica male is allometrik positive, the female is isometric. The width of the asimptotik (L∞) S. tranquebarica males 242 mm, females 165 mm, coefficient of growth (K) male 0.15 per year, the female 0,39 per year. The natural mortality of males 0.236 females 0.492 male arrest mortality of 0.421 females 0.483. The exploitation rate of male crabs is 0.640 per year while females are 0.495 annually which means that males crabs have been over-exploited while females have not been over-exploited. Keywords: Stock estimation, Scylla tranquebarica, Width and weight relationship

Abstract

Tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascolonicum L.) adalah tanaman hortikultura yang berpontensi baik di Indonesia. Untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil tanaman bawang merah maka diperlukan pemupukan yang sesuai. Salah satu pupuk organik yang dapat digunakan yaitu pupuk kandang ayam dan cocopeat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dan cocopeat tertentu yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah.Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Punggur Kecil, Kecamatan Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2019. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan, yakni : Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk kandang ayam terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu A1: 10 ton. Ha-1, A2: 15 ton. ha-1, A3:20 ton. ha-1. Faktor kedua adalah cocopeat yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu C1:15 ton. ha-1, C2:20 ton. ha-1, C3:25 ton. ha-1.Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun per rumpun, jumlah umbi, berat basah umbi , dan berat kering umbi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk kandang ayam 15 ton ha-1 mampu meningkatkan jumlah daun yang lebih banyak. Sedangkan interaksi pupuk kandang ayam sebesar 20 ton ha-1 dan cocopeat 15 ton ha-1 mampu menghasilkan berat basah umbi dan berat kering umbi per rumpun yang lebih baik dari perlakuan lainnya.       Kata kunci : bawang merah, pupuk kandang ayam, cocopeat

Abstract

ABSTRAK Selada Lactuca sativa L merupakan salah satu tanaman sayuran dari famili Compositae. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui ketersediaan unsur hara N,P,K dan subtitusi limbah padat biogas terhadap pupuk anorganik di tanah Aluvial pada tanaman selada. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di Desa Bakau Besar Laut, Kabupaten Mempawah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini yaitu metode eksperimen lapangan dengan pola rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan limbah padat biogas, perlakuan yang dimaksud : P0 = 100% NPK, P1 = 75% NPK + 25% LPB, P2= 50% NPK + 50% LPB, P3= 25% NPK + 75 % LPB, dan P4 = 100% LPB. Masing – masing perlakuan diulang 5 kali, dan setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari satu tanaman perpolibag sehingga jumlah polibag yang di gunakan 25. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian limbah padat biogas berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan ketersediaan unsur hara P, K, dan C organik, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap unsur hara N, pH Tanah dan Berat basah tanaman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Pada perlakuan P1,P2,P3 dan P4 mampu mensubtitusi penggunaan pupuk anorganik, dan perlakuan P4 penambahan 600 gram limbah padat biogas menunjukan ketersediaan C-Organik, N-Total, P-Tersedia dan K dapat dipertukarkan paling tinggi diantara perlakuan lainya, sehingga penambahan limbah padat biogas sudah mampu menggantikan penggunaan pupuk anorganik namun pada hasil tanaman selada menunjukan bahwa perlakuan P2 (50% NPK + 50% LPB) memberikan hasil berat basah tanaman paling tinggi diantara tanaman lainya, sehingga mensubtitusi 50% penggunaan pupuk anorganik dengan limbah padat biogas mampu meningkatkan produktivitas hasil tanaman selada di tanah aluvial.. kata kunci : Limbah Padat Biogas, Selada, Tanah Aluvial

Abstract

The use of a single herbicide often cannot control all types of weeds. Increase the effects of weed control. This study aims to study the effectiveness of glyphosate and methyl metsulfuron herbicides to control the Ischaemum timorense weed and determine the nature of the mixture. This research was conducted from January to April 2019, for ± 4 months in the greenhouse and Pesticide Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The research was arranged in random groups. The treatment consisted of 4 types of herbicides with five dose levels and 1 control, namely glyphosate (0, 0.188, 0.375, 0.750, 1.5, 3.0) l / ha, methyl metsulfuron (0, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160) g / ha, herbicide mixture A 240/10 SL (0, 0.25, 0.50, 1.00 2.00, 4.00) l / ha and mixed herbicide B 360/10 SL (0, 0 , 25, 0.50, 1.00, 2.00, 4.00) l / ha. The target weed is Ischaemum timorense, a grass weed which is planted in a 14 cm diameter pot and a target of 3 MST (Three weeks after planting a herbicide test is applied). The variables observed are the level of weed damage that was assessed through phytotoxicity scoring and weed dry weights and analysis of herbicide mixture properties. The results showed that the higher the dose of the herbicide that was given, the more effective the suppressor was in controlling weeds. Herbicides that have been able to restore weed growth include glyphosate (G3) at a dose of 0.750 l / ha, Methyl metsulfuron (M5) at a dose of 160 g / ha, A mixture of 240/10 SL (CG3) at a dose of 1.0 l / ha , Mixture B 360/10 SL (CB3) at a dose of 1.0 l / ha. A mixed herbicide A 240/10 SL with an LD50 value of 93.2 and a mixture of B 360/10 SL is 186.92 smaller than the LD50 value of a single glyphosate herbicide 186.83 and methyl metsulfuron 27.98. The index value of combination herbicide mixture A 240/10 SL is 1.0384 and herbicide mixture B 360/10 SL is 1.0262, thus the nature of the herbicide is not antagonistic.Keywords: Glyphosate, Methyl metsulfuron, LD50, Herbicide mixture.

Abstract

ABSTRAKAdanya kegiatan reklamasi dalam pengelolaan lahan gambut untuk tanaman kelapa sawit yang didahului dengan pembuatan saluran drainase. Apabila mengalami pengeringan yang berlebihan akan menyebabkan kedalaman muka air tanah letaknya berada jauh dari permukaan tanah, akibatnya akan menyebabkan perubahan terutama pada sifat fisik tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi kedalaman muka air saluran dan air tanah gambut, serta sifat fisika tanah di Desa Kuala Dua, Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey, dengan parameter penelitian terdiri dari, identifikasi tingkat kematangan dan kedalaman gambut, pengamatan muka air saluran dan air tanah, kadar air kondisi lapangangan, potensial redoks, kadar serat, bobot isi, porositas total tanah, dan kadar air kapasitas lapangan. Elevasi lahan penelitian berkisar dari 8,73 – 10,41 (m dpl), dengan ketebalan gambut 6,63 – 7,68 m dengan rata-rata kadar serat utuh dengan kematangan saprik sebesar 20-30%, kematangan hemik sebesar 47 – 57%, kematangan fibrik sebesar 77 – 86%. Nilai rata-rata bobot isi tanah gambut berkisar 0,09 – 0,20 g/cm3, serta rata-rata dari porositas total tanah gambut berkisar 89,11 – 95,02%. Hasil korelasi muka air saluran dan air tanah pada jalur U1, U2, dan U3 menunjukan adanya korelasi yang positif, dan koefisien korelasi dengan kategori kuat sampai sangat kuat. Nilai dari kadar air kondisi lapangan berkisar 67-82%Vol, Sedangkan untuk kadar air kapasitas lapangan berkisar 72,17 – 82,02 %Vol. Nilai rata-rata Potensial Redoks berdasarkan baris B2-B6 titik pengamatan berkisar 307 – 333 mV.    Kata kunci : tanah gambut, muka air, sifat fisik tanah

Abstract

The mayor of ingredients were meat or chicken protein mixed with wheat flour which is still import. West Kalimantan was the protein source located of snakehead fish that is still less consumed while the jackfruits seed was the waste that is still not optimally processed too. The aim of this research was to determine the formulation of jackfruit seed flour and cassava starch which produced chemical, physical and sensory characteristic of snakehead fish nugget. The research using Randomized Block Design of one factor (formulation of jackfruit seed flour and cassava starch) with five level treatments (0:20, 5:15, 10:10, 15:5, 20:0, w/w) and five replications. Data were analyzed by using one way ANOVA (α=5%) and if there was significant different followed by BNJ test (α=5%). Result showed that the best formulation based on effective index of snakehead fish nugget was jackfruit seed flour:cassava starch (10:10) that has moisture content of 52.25%; protein of 12.66% while as a albumin of 3.64%; fat of 4.45%; ash of 1.95%; carbohydrate of 28.70% and water holding capacity 51.6%. Meanwhile the hedonic result has taste 3.70 (quite like), flavor 3.53 (quite like) and texture 3.77 (quite like).Key words: flour, jackfruit seed, cassava starch, nugget, snakehead fish

Abstract

The aim of this study to get information on the performanceof morphological and agronomic characteristics of black rice mutant Tabah. Tabah black rice have been irradiated with Co-60 200 Gray . The study was carried out on theBalai Benih Induk, Sungai Kakap Kabupaten, Kubu Raya, from November 2017 -May 2018. The black rice seedling planted ontidal rice field.Observed performance of plant held on the sample, were 40 sample plants. Eachhole be planted by 1 seedling.Planting distane was 25 x 25 cm.The results of the study shows that the average height of seedlings was 33.31 cm. The average of leaf length is 45.58 cm, leaf widthwas 1.62 cm. Medium and hairy leaf surface, erect leaf angle shape, medium flag leaf angle, flat and drooping, light green leaf neck color, white leaf ear color, dark green leaf color, and stout black rice leaf midrib, green. The average length of the leaf ligulaewas 2.34 cm, white and the shape of the ligulae leaves 2-cleft. The number of tillers that appeared on average were 11.58 tillers,  the ability to breed, which was little to moderate. The average plant height was 119.45 cm, the shape of the stem is erect, the color of the item was yellow, and the stiffness of the stem was strong. The panicle emerge of the whole panicle comes out, and the neck was moderate, has an average length of 26.67 cm. compact and medium panicle type, panicle shaft droops. The color of the grain tip has a brown criterion, the average seed length is 9.9 mm / 1 cm. The average seed width is 2.92 mm. The average seed thickness is 1.92 mm. the weight fertilized grain of 100 seeds 2.6g. Abstract

Sambal lime juice is one of the marinated ingredients that contain citric acid that have the function of preserving the quality of broiler meat. This research aimed to determine the quality of broiler meat marinated using sambal lime (Citrus microcarpa) juice with different concentrations and the immersion durations. The materials of this research were 24 pieces of broiler meat breasts. This research has used the factorial, completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the concentrations and the second factor was immersion durations of sambal lime, with the treatment combination were: 10%;10 minutes (K1L1), 10%;20 minutes (K1L2), 10%;30 minutes (K1L3), 20%;10 minutes (K2L1), 20%;20 minutes (K2L2), dan 20%;30 minutes (K2L3) with four replicated. The observed variables were the pH, protein content and water holding capacity. The results showed that the quality of broiler meat marinated using sambal lime juice, with different concentrations, did not affect all variables. However, the different immersion duration had a very significant effect on the pH value (4,67-5.47) and did not influence on protein content (21.38-22.54%) and water holding capacity (65.50-69.50%). The conclusion of this research is the best treatment of marinating using sambal lime juice on broiler meat quality is a concentration of 10% with an immersion duration of 20 minutes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best concentration of coconut water on growth and yield plan cutting of mint. This study held from on February 25st to April 25th 2019. The research was conducted in Purnama Agung VII, Komplek Pondok Agung Permata, South Pontianak. The method use is  randomized completely design of one factor,the treatment consisted of 5 treatments, namely  (p1 = concentrations of  coconut water 0%, p2 = concentrations of  coconut water 12,5%, p3 = concentrations of  coconut water 25%, p4 = concentrations of  coconut water 37,5%, p5 = concentrations of  coconut water 50%,) all treatmets were repeated 5 times, each treatment consisting of 4 plant samples. The results showed that the concentrations of  25% coconut water was the best concentration for improving yield of cuttings of mint plants.  Keywords: Coconut Water, Plant Cutting of Mint.
