Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe problem solving in mathematics by the scavengers of Waduk Permai Village. The methodology of research that used  is descriptive methodology in a form of study case. Subjects in this research are 3 scavenger children. Instruments of data collection which used for support researcher are interview and written test. The interview are used for describe how the process of problem solving to the scavengers, at the same time the test are used for giving the way and support of the interview result. The results of the analysis concluded that problem solving of scavengers to finish varied question of the test are inconsistent using step by step on each given question. Beside that, scavenger children not yet fully follow the steps on finishing questions of the test that as Polya said.Keywords: Problem Solving, The Scavengers

Abstract

 AbstractMinisterial Regulation No. 22 of 2006 outlines it through learning mathematics students are expected to have logical, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative thinking skills, as well as the ability to work together. The results of TIMMS mention the level of creative thinking ability of students in Indonesia is poor. Giving an open ended problem is expected to encourage students to pour ideas more freely in accordance with the understanding that is not only fixated on one process of settlement. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of students' mathematical creative thinking on the aspects of  fluency, flexibility, and originality in solving the problem of open ended in SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. The form of this research is survey and the subject of this research are students of VIIIC class. The results obtained, average score on the fluency thinking aspect is 2.65 or 66.18% with the high categories. The average score on the flexibility thinking aspect is 1.59 or 39.71% with the low category. And the average score of originality thinking aspect is 0.82 or 20.59% with very low category.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Open Ended Question, Flat Face Three Dimensial Object

Abstract

 AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know the influence of board’s performance to the cooperation members participation at Angkasa Pura Pontianak. The method in this research is the analyse descriptive. This is an ex post facto reasearch. The population in this research is 253 members. The number of samples in this reasearch is 72 members. Data collection techniques in this reasearch are direct communication techniques (interview guidelines), indirect communication techniques (self efficacy questionnaire), and documentary techniques (annual members meeting). The results of this research showed that there is the positive influence of the influence of board’s performance to the cooperation members participation at Angkasa Pura Pontianak. This can be known from the t value is 4.179  which shows there is influence of board’s performance to the cooperation members participation at Angkasa Pura Pontianak outcomes. When it compared with the t table on the significance level of 0.05 of 1.997, so that Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this research is the influence of boards performance to the cooperation members participation at Angkasa Pura Pontianak. Keywords: Board’s performance, Members participation, Cooperation

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the level mathematical literacy which can be achieved by the students on Change and Relationship content to the eighth-grade students of SMPN 07 Kubu Raya observed from their learning style. Method used was descriptive in form survey. The subject in this research was 22 students of the VIII B class of SMPN 07 Kubu Raya. Tools of data collection are written test to discover the level of students’ mathematical literacy on Change and Relationship content; questionnaire to cluster based on their learning style; and interview as the follow up. The data analysis results showed that the students’ mathematical literacy on Change and Relationship content with auditory learning style achieved varied mathematical literacy, such as the level of 1,3,5, and 6, the students with visual learning style achieved varied mathematical literacy such as the level of 1,2,3,5, and 6, and the students with kinesthetic learning style achieved varied mathematical literacy such as the level of 1,4, and 5.Keywords: Mathematical Literacy, Change and Relationship Content, Learning Style, Algebra Expression.

Abstract

AbstractThe problems of the research were the learners had difficulty in performing the long jump because the learning activity lack of opportunities to repeat the event. The research and development were aimed at developing a variety of learning through play. The methods in this study used the method of research and development, namely the method of observing the basic stages of design which refers to the development of the Borg & Gall, a simplified according to needs of researchers. The stages of research included the stage of pre-development, namely: The study of literature and relevant research and studied. Development stage: Drafting the concept of the initial product, validation expert, small-scale trials and trials of wide scale up on the final product. The results of research on small scale trials showed the implementation of 5 game concept that is very good (82.86%). The acceptance of the learners on aspects: participation (92%), motivation (86%), and cooperation (97%) each on criteria acceptable and feasible to test on a wide scale. The results of the research on broad-scale trials, there was an increase in the learning outcomes of learners at 18,04%, which means that the development of long jump approach through learning to play on the Senior High School learners viable and can be used in the learning process.Keywords: learning, development of long jump, play

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the local languages, especially dialect of Melayu Ketapang in the tradition of Memapak Durian at Ketapang district. This research belongs to qualitative. This research conducted in Sembelangaan,Nanga Tayap, Ketapang. The problems of this study are includes the inventory of terminology in the tradition of Memapak Durian, the components of meaning, cultural meanings, and semantic functions. The purpose of this study is to describe the terminology of the tradition of Memapak Durian in the Melayu ethnic at Ketapang city. The data of this study is taken from the informant in that area and the procession of Memapak Kembang Durian, Memapak Durian Jatuh, Mengantar Buah Durian. This research used direct observation method. The techniques of collecting data in this study are interviewing, recording, making note and taking a picture techniques. Based on the results of the data aabove the researcher found 41 leksem. Analysis of the component of meaning in the procession of Memapak Kembang Durian found 34 leksem. The researcher found 16 laksem from the procession of Memapak Durian Jatuh and 10 laksem from the procession of mengantar buah durian. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran konflik kognitif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi gerak parabola kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian ini berupa quasy-experimental designs dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik intact group yaitu kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas pembanding. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa diukur dengan tes uraian sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan berjumlah tujuh butir soal. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep dapat dilihat menggunakan uji gain yang dinormalisasi (<g>). Rata-rata <g> pemahaman konsep siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 0,63 dengan kategori sedang sedangkan kelas pembanding 0,27 dengan kategori rendah. Berdasarkan uji-t diperoleh hasil thitung (9,842) > ttabel (1,665) untuk taraf signifikansi  = 5 %. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa yang diajar menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konflik kognitif dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran Konflik Kognitif, Pemahaman Konsep, Gerak ParabolaAbstract: The purpose of this research is investigate the effect of cognitive conflict learning strategy on the improvement understanding concept of the students on grade XI SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. Method of this research was a quasy-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design draft. The research sample by using intact group which class XI MIA 1 as an experimental class and XI MIA 3 as a comparison class. The improvement understanding concept of the students measured by the essay test before and after treatment were seven items. The improvement understanding of the concept could be viewed using the test gain normalized (<g>). The average <g> of understanding the concept of an experimental class students was 0.63 with moderate category while comparison class was 0.27 with a lower category. Based on t-test results obtained tcount (9.842) > ttable (1.665) for a significance level of α = 5%. It showed that there are significant differences in the improvement understanding concept of the students taught by using cognitive conflict learning strategies with the students taught by using conventional learning.Keywords: Cognitive Conflict Learning Strategy, Understanding Concept, Parabolic Motion
