Abstract

This research was held in order to contribute in mapping of the students’ critical thinking while they were taking Instructional Design (DesainPembelajaran) as their subjects. The implementation of this subject used Cooperative Learning Model to form their critical thinking. The scores in this research were obtained through some tests which were taken at the end of the lecture. Meanwhile, the study implementation was collected using the observation sheets. As results, the students’ critical thinking was mapped into three groups; they are upper, middle, and lower groups. The numbers respectively were 22.45%; 51.02%; and 26.53%. Furthermore, the upper group’s students also gained the highest scores in the observed implementation. It is revealed that the discussion during the Learning Cooperative study was able to form the students’ critical thinking. Keyword: Critical thinking skill, cooperative learning.

Abstract

This research motivated presence of symptoms that can be seen in the field that the biological activity and learning outcomes have not achieved the expected result of 78. The cause of the low biological activity and learning outcomes is presumably because the teacher actively describes the material, give examples, and exercises while students just listen, take notes, and do the exercises. Learning as it failed to give students the chance to discover, establish and develop his own knowledge. This type of research is done in an attempt repair of the problems mentioned above is a Classroom Action Research. Data of this research is taken using an instrument tests, observation sheet and evaluation test results are processed in a qualitative study. The results showed that by using cooperative learning type Number Heads Together can increase the activity of learning and learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA1 SMA 4 Pontianak. Abstract

This research has been conducted to figure out the improvement of the students learning activities in polymer lesson at twelft grade of science program in SMAN 2 Pontianak by the application of cooperative learning model type numbered heads together. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research. The research was conducted in three cycles. The students learn about the meaning and the reaction how the polymer is formed, the classification of polymer, kinds of plastic, the use and the impact of polymer as well. The instrument used is observation of the students’ activities and questioners. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is improvement on the students learning activities. The percentage of the students activities is 29,03% in the first cycle, 43,75% in the second cycle and 84,38% in the third cycle. It is recommended for the teachers to choose cooperative learning model type numbered heads together to become one of the learning model alternative in polymer lesson to improve  the students’ learning activities. Abstract

The nutrition level of fermented palm sugar solution using snow lotus (Saussurea involucrata) has been analyzed. It is necessary to determine it before this product is consumed by public. Palm sugar solution had been fermented using snow lotus (Saussurea involucrata) for 72 hour. The palm sugar solution before and after fermentation was analyzed its nutrition level such as protein, carbohydrates, vitamin C and alcohol level (methanol and ethanol) based on MUI and BPOM. After fermentation the level of protein, carbohydrates, vitamin C with consecutive is 0.557%; 1.81 mg/kg and 5.71 mg/kg. The level of protein content increased by 55 % and 42 % for carbohydrates, but the level of vitamin C decreased 16% when it compared to palm sugar solution before fermentation. Methanol wasn’t detected in fermented product after 72 hour, while ethanol is still below the threshold set by the MUI and Badan POM is 0.8%, so it is safe for consumption. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the competency of junior high school teachers of Mathematics and Science subjects. This research uses descriptive method with the survey method. The data source in this research  is junior high school teachers of Mathematics and Science subjects which are incorporated in MGMP Sub Rayon 03 Samalantan, the number of teacher is 20. The data were collected through questionnaires. To find out the description of the competence of teachers it used descriptive analysis by using percentage. The result showed an overall competence of teachers are in a good category. The sequentially percentage of the competency of teachers are pedagogic (72.25%), professional competence (83.00%), personal competence (85.00%) and social competence (77%). Key word : Competence, Junior High School Teachers.
