Abstract

The aim of this research was   to know about application of parenting by single parents (mother) in terms of achievement of formal education. The techniques of data collection were observation, interview and the study of documentation, where as the tools of data collection were the directive of observation, directive of interview, the notes and the files like report, trophy, and certificate. This research sources were primer data and secodary data. The result of this research proves that single parents (mother) apply different parenting patterns. Usually, job is single parents"™ (mother) first priority that makes them lose the oppurtunity to pay attention to the child"™s behavior and education at school. Furthermore, because the exhausting job, single parents tend to speak abusively, do a violent action especially when they command the child to prepare their school, homework, and difficulty to facilitate school instruments and transportation. Because of the frequency of single parents (mother) existence is low, children tend to play all day without parents"™ control. This problem makes children couldn"™t feel the attendance of parents to give them love and affection. Also, children has so many lack in getting education both at school and at home, low academic grades, quit school before graduating, not even get on the next grade.

Abstract

The title of this thesis is the Role of assistant of Social Service and Rehabilitation Unit (UPRS) of West Kalimantan in Improving Child Learning Motivation. In this study the problem formulation is how the role of assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan in improving children's learning motivation. The formulation of the problem translated into several sub issues, namely how assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan gives attention in motivating children's learning, how assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan gives reward in motivating children's learning, how assistant UPRS West Kalimantan provides penalties for motivating children's learning. The aims of this study are to determine and describe the role undertaken by assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan in improving motivation to learn, by giving attention, appreciation, and punishment. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study are 8 people.The results of this study indicate that the role performed is good enough, giving attention, such as giving advice to children to study, supervise when children is studying such as reminding children when it is time to study. Give awards such as giving a gift if the child gets good grades, until punishment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of learning with the method of recitation of student learning outcomes sociology subjects class XI IPS SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. Form of quasi experimental research (quasy experimental research). The sample of this research are 74 students, 37 students of experimental group (XI IPS 1) and 37 students of Control group (XI IPS 2). Technique of collecting data of direct observation, indirect communication, documenter study and data collection tool in the form of observation and multiple choice test in the form of pre-test and post test. The data obtained in the pre-test obtained average in experimental class 70,02 and class control 70.05. on the post-test experimental class has an average of 78.32 and the control class is 74.18. Hypothesis testing using t-test (F-Test Two-Sample Assuming Equal Variances Test) in the experiment class post-test shows the statistical value t obtained is 2.400691499 and p-value 0.009474866. by using decision based on p-value, at α = 0,05 can be concluded significant value 0,05 (0,05 0.009474866) hence there is difference of result of post-test experiment class and control class hence Ho refused and Ha accepted. Based on the data obtained, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of Neighborhood Community Members around the Roasted Corn Shop on nasty behavior that occurs in the Roasted Corn Shop Siantan Hulu. The general problem of this study is how the perception of the Neighborhood Community Members around the Roasted Corn Shop on nasty behavior that occurs in there. The form of the study that is used is a qualitative method of data collection through descriptive method. The data collecting techniques are observation, interview and documentation study, while the data collection tools are the observation guide, interview guide and documentation. The research shows that people around there, have a different perception of the nasty behavior which occurs in that shop.

Abstract

This research aimed to discover about organic solidarity among students in divisions of work, collective consciousness, dominant law, and the tendency of interdependence in Futsal extracurricular in SMA Taman Mulia Kubu Raya Regency. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Techniques which are used are observation, interview, and documentation study. The instruments which used in gathering data are observation guidance, interview guidance, and documentation instrument. The result of this research showed that Organic Solidarity Among Students in Futsal extracurricular in SMA Taman Mulia Kubu Raya Regency has not run well. This was proven in students' divisions of work based on the coach"™s instruction. In collective consciousness, there were students who still joined the training without permission. In Dominant law, there were students who still did against the rules. In tendency of interdependence was proven by lack of coordination among the students.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate how the effect of make a match model on learning achievement of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya regency. The method used was quasi experimental that comprised two sample classes as control class and experimental class. The sample were selected using purposive sampling. The result showed that: (1) the mean score of students"™ learning achievement before make a match method applied was 70,36 76 (KKM). It means the mean score of students"™ learning achievement was low, as its excess difference was 5,64 from KKM. The mean score of students"™ learning achievement after using make a match model was 80,85 76 (KKM). It means the mean score of students"™ learning achievement was quite high distinguish from the excess difference of the enhancement of students"™ learning achievement mean score as 4,85 ˃ 5,64 (control class learning achievement mean score). (2) there was an effect on students"™ learning achievement in sociology learning on the material"students"™ sosialization" of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya, between the students who did not apply make a match method and the students who applied make a match methodas t-test Polled Varians obtainedthitung   4,59 and ttabel 0,104 with significant level (α) = 5% and dk = 60.   In conclusion, Ha was acceptable and Ho was rejected. (3) the effect of the use of make a match method on students"™ learning achievement of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya on the material "students"™ sosialization" was 0,92 with high category.

Abstract

The title this research is "the role of sociology teacher in fostering learning motivation of class XI IIS students at SMAN 5 Pontianak". The pupose of this research is to understand teachers role as a motivator, director and faciliator in fostering learning motivation of class XI IIS students at SMAN 5 Pontianak. The method in this research is qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The techniques uset with obtain data in this research are observation, interview and documentation. The subjects of this research are one of the sociology teachers, Mrs uniek Prasetyaningrum and 6 students of XI IIS who have a low motivation in laerning. The result of this research shows that the role of sociology teacher are: (1) As a motivation, a teacher motivate students to study hard and gives warning to students. (2) teacher as a director has responsibility to make students discipline so they can learn well in classroom, monitoring, and controlling students behaviour so they will not break the rules in classroom. (3) teacher as facilitator has responsibility to provide facilities for students, like media in teaching learning process.
