Abstrak: Era globalisasi ini, mesin sistem manual dibiarkan dan diubah oleh mesin sistem otomatis untuk membantu operasi manusia. Dengan demikian makalah ini akan menjelaskan tentang bagaimana objek kerja dalam distribusi otomatis dibuat khusus untuk modul pengumpan (stasiun makan dan stasiun pengangkat) yang dibuat secara modular. Stasiun pakan dalam bentuk papan yang digerakkan oleh pneumatik tanpa batang dan berfungsi sebagai tempat kerja pendorong dimana di angkat sekrup untuk melanjutkan kerja benda ke stasiun berikutnya. Stasiun pengangkat berbentuk palet di lantai 3 yang digerakkan dengan motor DC gerak sudut yang diubah oleh sekrup timah menjadi gerakan linier untuk menyesuaikan ketinggian. Semua proses distribusi ini dikendalikan oleh PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) dalam kapasitas 26 I / O (16 input dan 10 output). Salah satu bahasa pemrograman yang mudah dipelajari adalah Functional Block Diagram (FBD). Pada FBD, ada metode Sequential Function Chart (SFC) untuk menentukan urutan pekerjaan program. Hasilnya adalah mesin simulasi stasiun makan dan stasiun pengangkat dalam skala laboratorium yang dapat memberi makan benda kerja di stasiun berikutnya sepanjang gerak diagram setiap stasiun.

The need of machine tools is growing in Indonesia every years, this because of the increasing need of high quality product and short product manufacturing time are the answer for the market needed. CNC machine is a numerical method which the computer is used to control the machine tools, in Indonesia itself are increasing its usage from large scale industry to home industry and as well as in education sector. Education sector need to be up to date to the technology to empowering their students in order to catch up in the technology growth. Investment in CNC machine tools is consider as a high investment for education institution, and industrial CNC machine tools also bulky so it difficult to move around which are difficult to bring it in classroom. To overcome the problem in this paper will discuss about design and analysis of prototype CNC milling machine tool which has working area of 328 mm × 245mm × 100mm and can withstand the force of cutting of 0.044Nm. In this paper also discuss about design and analysis of the machine tools frame using finite element method. Result from the frame analysis with the load from Z direction of 10 kg of load shows the maximum displacement is 0.07558mm and maximum stress is 0.09178 Mpa.

Abstract: Steel is an iron-carbon alloys containing concentrations of other alloys having a different composition and treatment materials, steel properties can be changed by heat treatment. The heat treatment process serves to increase the strength of a steel material. The nature of the material can be turned into a more robust and resilient heat treatment process, if done properly and correctly. Austempering process is just one example of the heat treatment process at steel that aims to improve the mechanical properties of the steel S 45 C and S 60 C. austempering process performed on the steel S 45 C and S 60 C aims to increase the hardness and toughness of the steel. Austempering process is done by austenisasi advance with temperature 8500C and held for 60 minutes, after which the process is carried out with 3 election austempering temperature of 3500C, 4500C, 5500C and held for 30 minutes. The method used to test the results of austempering is tensile testing using ASTM A370- 12a, Vickers hardness test and microstructure observation using a digital microscope. In the test results tensile steel S 45 C and S 60 C values obtained an increase in ductility and toughness of 17.1 % on steel S 45 C and 17 % on steel S 60 C. This value is obtained from the calculation of ultimate tensile strength test specimens that have not been in austempering process with a specimen that has been in the process of austempering at 3500C , and the results of testing hardness of the steel S 45 C and S 60 C obtained hardness value of 44% increase in steel S 45 C and 46 % on steel S 60 C. value this is obtained from the calculation of the average value of the test specimen is not in the process of austempering with a specimen that has been in the process of austempering at 3500C .

The wheeled robot design consists of various modules with their own functionalities. We chosethe components based on theirs specification, autonomous functionality, and in theirs prices. We assembledthese components as modules. The modules in this design are power supply module, processing modulewhich is used ATMega 328 microcontroller, distance sensor module, line sensor module, wirelesscommunication module, motor driver module and actuator module which is used DC motor. Systemperformance indicated with: Able to follow square, triangle, synes conture and stopping ability. Experimentshawed that all of the modules worked as design. The robot could navigate according to contoursautonomously. We tested by using a display module. We gave inputs and then feeded to processing modulethrough bluetooth. From the experiment, it can be concluded that the robot which was using wall followingmethod could be controlled well. The PID controller performed well so the navigation could be stable. Thestable condition was achieved under 3 seconds. But the performance criteria had not been achieved becausethe maximum overshoot was 41.2% which was far from the limit of 10%.

Abstract: Aluminum alloy is a raw material in industry. Aluminum alloy used is aluminum alloy aluminum alloy 319. Materials were investigated to obtain aluminum alloys that have strong mechanical properties of the difference in the rate of clotting. Research 319 aluminum alloy was investigated by conducting the smelting process in the crank case and printed materials by using metal molds, then do differences in rates of freezing process with an open-air media, media dry sand and wet sand media as a medium deceleration. The next step is testing using tensile testing, testing, hardness with Brinell method, and metallography. From the results, with the help of wet sand media has a hardness of 68 BHN and the UTS 241.89 MPa, for open air medium hardness of 62 BHN and the UTS 224.03 MPa and dry sand media assistance hardness of 54 BHN and the UTS 190.9 MPa.

In the machining process, increased production can be done by increasing the use of cuttingparameters. However, the use of high cutting parameters has an effect on the wear of the cutting toolused. The aim of this research is to analyze the wear and tear that occurs on cutting tools and tool lifewhen cutting AISI 4140 steel by using variations in cutting speed. The machining process uses a CNClathe by turning the surface of the AISI 4140 steel workpiece. The wear criteria are determined when thecutting tool has reached the edge wear limit (VB) of 0.3 mm. Observation and measurement of carbidecutting tools are carried out every 5 minutes the machining process is carried out. If the cutting tool hasnot shown the specified wear value, then the cutting tool then cuts, so that the wear value is obtained.From the research conducted it was found that at a cutting speed of 160 m / min the cutting tool iscapable of cutting for 39 minutes, 13 seconds. At a cutting speed of 180 m / min the cutting tool is capableof cutting for 38 minutes, 14 seconds. At a cutting speed of 200 m / min the cutting tool is capable ofcutting for 33 minutes, 8 seconds. At a cutting speed of 240 m / min the cutting tool is capable of cuttingfor 26 minutes, 3 seconds. Taylor's advanced tool life for the coated carbide cutting tool in turning AISI4140 steel material is: Vc. Tl.0.073 = 8203.

Abstract: This study discusses the effect of variations in the diameter of the main jet nozzle and three types of fuel with an octane rating of 88, 90 and 92 on the performance of the motor fuel. Performance analysis covering torque, power and specific fuel consumption (SFC). In order to determine the maximum performance that can be generated on any variation of the diameter of the main jet nozzles, and types of fuel. At the time of this experiment performed with a 4 stroke engine Honda GX-160, using hydro tool dynamometer and uses premium fuel. The data taken is the engine rotation, the force measured on the dynamometer and the time spent fuels. Tests conducted at the Laboratory of Energy Conversion Mechanical Engineering UNTAR Jakarta. Testing is done by means of rotational load mengvariasikan to gain strength in each round machine with a variety of major diameter nozzle jet fuel and octane. Variation of the engine rotation starts at minimal rotation until maximum.

Abstract: Problems is faced by partners which is that limited skills, limited financial problems and limited support by various parties, such as government, private and universities. The team devotion from Teuku Umar University of Meulaboh made an activity to solve partner problems with giving some approach method that is giving and training of welding technique and managerial of business and opening of welding workshop. The location of partners is about 1 km from the Teuku Umar University campus in Ujong Tanoh Darat Village, Meureubo Sub-district, West Aceh District. The determination location of the welding workshop and the determination partners is based on the results of the deliberation UTU service team with the village apparatus, such as the Village Head, Dusun Head, and other village apparatuses. Time of implementation activities is carried out within 10 months with stages are the stages of literature study, site survey activities, feasibility study group of beneficiaries, training and opening of welding workshop, and monitoring and evaluation of welding workshop. The result of giving material about welding technique and managerial welding workshop give good input for the participant, so that the participants become understand and have motivation in running the workshop business. Direct welding technique training provides a good understanding for the participants and provides an example of direct welding techniques on job objects. Welding workshop provides new jobs for less productive people around Teuku Umar University and increase income for the beneficiaries.

Abstract: This research learn about characteristic of radiator coolant effectiveness, which are influenced by flow rate, density, and fluid viscosity. Experimental method is used to get parameters: such as coolant temperature, air temperature and flow rate. This study use ɛ-NTU method to analyze the data. The results of coolant A, B, and water have effectiveness of 40%, 37%, and 36% respectively, it is caused by coolant A have the biggest Universal coefficient number and convection coefficient number are compared with coolant B and water.

Abstract: This hybrid motorcycle design is to combine 5.65kW gasoline engine and 48V DC 0.5kW electrical brushless motor in serial-parallel type. Master control unit use a microcontroller ATMega16 to control gasoline engine and electrical motor alternately. Speed sensor is placed on the rear wheel to detect the motorcycle’s speed. When the motorcycle’s speed reaches the top threshold at 30km/h, it driven with gasoline engine and when the motorcycle’s speed getting lower to the bottom threshold at 5km/h, it changes with electrical motor. Battery charged with plug-in system to power supply.
