Abstract

Semakin meningkatnya sampah di Desa Terusan Mulya ini akan menjadi masalah serius apabila tidak dicari penyelesaiannya. Di satu sisi penemuan plastik ini mempunyai dampak positif yang luar biasa, karena plastik memiliki keunggulan-keunggulan dibanding material lain. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut maka kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini perlu dilakukan dengan tujuan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran bagi para pelajar untuk peduli menjaga lingkungannya. Khususnya, mengelola limbah plastik menjadi produk kreatif atau kerajinan tangan yang dapat mengembangkan kreativitas serta rasa ingin tahu para pelajar.Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diketahui, beberapa manfaat praktis yang diperoleh oleh para pelajar di Desa Terusan Mulya, yaitu: Para siswa/i mendapatkan informasi yang jelas dan utuh mengenai hakikat pemberdayaan masyarakat dari segi pengetahuan dan keterampilan; Para siswa/i yang menjadi peserta pelatihan memperoleh gambaran yang jelas mengenai potensi langkah pembuatan produk kreatif dengan memanfaatkan limbah sampah plastik sekali pakai untuk dapat dijual, sehingga bernilai ekonomis; Peserta pelatihan juga mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas dan utuh tentang manfaat limbah jika dikelola dengan baik. Kata Kunci: Limbah Plastik, Produk Kreatif, Media Pembelajaran, terusan Mulya   ABSTRACT  THE USE OF PLASTIC WASTE INTO CREATIVE PRODUCTS AS A LEARNING MEDIA FOR STUDENTS IN TERUSAN VILLAGE, KAPUAS DISTRICT, CENTRAL KALIMANTAN. The increasing waste in the village of Terusan Mulya will become a serious problem if a solution is not sought. On the other hand, the discovery of plastic has had a tremendous positive impact, because plastic has advantages over other materials. Based on this analysis, this community service activity needs to be carried out with the aim of increasing awareness for students to care about protecting their environment. In particular, managing plastic waste into creative products or handicrafts can develop the creativity and curiosity of students. Based on the results of the evaluation, it is known that students in the Terusan Mulya Village have received several practical benefits, namely: Students get information clear and a complete understanding of the nature of community empowerment in terms of knowledge and skills; The students who become training participants get a clear picture of the potential steps for making creative products by utilizing single-use plastic waste to be sold, so it has economic value; Training participants also get a clear and complete picture of the benefits of waste if it is managed properly.  Keywords: Plastic Waste, Product Creative, Learning Media, Terusan Village

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan merupakan salah satu fokus pemerintah Indonesia untuk menuju kemandirian pangan nasional. Sebagai bentuk keseriusan pemerintah, ketahanan pangan menjadi tema besar dalam KKN Kebangsaan ke-X yang diselenggarakan di Kalimantan Tengah. Desa Anjir Serapat Tengah merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Kapuas Timur, Kabupaten Kapuas yang menjadi lokasi KKN Kebangsaan ke-X. Desa Anjir Serapat Tengah memiliki beragam potensi meliputi industri, perikanan, perkebunan, dan potensi terbesar yaitu pertanian. Mayoritas masyarakat berprofesi sebagai petani. Meskipun memiliki potensi pertanian yang besar, terdapat permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat Desa Anjir Serapat Tengah seperti serangan hama dan penyakit tanaman, prevalensi stunting meningkat, dan kurang beragamnya konsumsi pangan masyarakat. Hal tersebut melatarbelakangi kelompok KKN menerapkan program Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L). P2L merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada di Desa Anjir Serapat Tengah melalui pemberdayaan kelompok masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan untuk ditanami tanaman buah dan hortikultura. Penerapan program P2L dengan partisipasi aktif dari kelompok masyarakat yaitu Kelompok Tani Bahagia dan Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) Desa Anjir Serapat Tengah. Kata Kunci: Ketahanan Pangan, KKN, Anjir Serapat Tengah, Pertanian   ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUSTAINABLE FOOD YARD PROGRAM (P2L) IN ANJIR SERAPAT TENGAH VILLAGE AS AN EFFORT TO SUPPORT THE NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY (FOOD ESTATE) PROGRAM. Food security is one of the focuses of the Indonesian government towards national food self-sufficiency. As a form of the government's seriousness, food security is the big theme in the Xth National KKN held in Central Kalimantan. Anjir Serapat Tengah Village is one of the villages in East Kapuas District, Kapuas Regency which is the location of the Xth National KKN. Anjir Serapat Tengah Village has various potentials including industry, fisheries, and plantations. The greatest potential is agriculture. The majority of people work as farmers. Even though it has great agricultural potential, there are problems faced by the people of Anjir Serapat Tengah Village such as attacks by pests and plant diseases, the prevalence of stunting is increasing, and the lack of diversity in people's food consumption. This is the background for the KKN group to implement the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) program. P2L is one of the solutions to overcome the problems that exist in Anjir Serapat Tengah Village through empowering community groups by utilizing their yards to plant fruit and horticultural crops. Implementation of the P2L program with the active participation of community groups, namely the Happy Farmers Group and Empowerment and Family Welfare (PKK) of Anjir Serapat Tengah Village.
