Abstract

The implementation of the drill method is a form of effort made by the teacher to train students' skills in learning initial writing skills. The low writing skills of first-grade students are a challenge for a teacher, so a learning innovation using the drill method is needed to train students in properly and correctly composing words or sentences. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the drill method in learning this beginning writing skill for class 1C students at MI Al Islam, conducted from February to May 2021. This research used a qualitative descriptive type approach. The subjects of this study were class 1C teachers, and the informants of this study were class 1C students and the head of MI. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validation technique uses source, technical, and theory triangulation. Meanwhile, analyse the data in this study using data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Implementing the drill method through repeated exercises can train students' initial writing skills, because it can stimulate their memory abilities

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' low mathematics learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to reveal the effectiveness of using KineMaster Video to improve online mathematics learning outcomes for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The type of research used is a quantitative Quasi Experiment. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. This research used all MIM Ngadirejo students as the population, while for the sample, it used Class V students. Respondents for the experimental class were 13 students using KineMaster video media, and for the control class, 12 students were using PowerPoint. The research instrument used was multiple choice questions consisting of 10 questions on addition and subtraction of fractions. The first data analysis is a prerequisite test with a normality test and homogeneity test. Further data analysis was carried out by testing the research hypothesis using an independent sample t-test for the pretest scores of both classes and post-test scores for both classes. The results showed that using KineMaster video media improved the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Ngadirejo compared to the control class, which only used power points.

Abstract

The background of this research is that memorising the Al-Qur’an, especially the short letters Juz 30, is increasingly being applied in Islamic educational institutions. However, phenomena in the field are still found to be low enthusiasm for memorising short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and the lack of practising the Al-Qur’an in students’ daily lives, such as the misalignment of what students say and do, including at MI Muhammadiyah Ngadirejo. Therefore, a teacher needs to be able to choose and use the right approach to improve the memorisation of short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and practice them in everyday life. The aims of this study were (1) to find out how important the approach to memorising short surahs in the Al-Qur’an is essential and its practice in daily life, (2) to find the implementation of the habituation approach by memorising short surahs and their practice in daily life, (3) found the results of the habituation approach by memorising short letters and practising them in everyday life. The type of research is field research. Collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are that students can be more confident in practising the contents of the Al-Qur’an, as seen from student behaviour and student recognition that their hearts become calmer, besides that students memorise and read short letters more smoothly

Abstract

Lack of parental attention affects student learning motivation. This study aims to determine: 1) the level of attention of students' parents, 2) the level of student learning motivation, and 3) the relationship between parents' attention and students' learning motivation. The research was conducted in MI throughout the Gatak District, Sukoharjo, from January to May 2021. The data collection technique used a questionnaire of 39 grade V students. The sampling technique used cluster sampling. The results of the study showed: 1) Parents' attention was in the medium category of 18 students or 46.16%, 2) Students' learning motivation is in the medium category of 24 students or 61.54%, 3) Based on the calculation of the hypothesis test at a significance level of 5%, the results obtained are rcount (0.626) > rtable (0.316). So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between parental attention and student learning motivation. With a coefficient of determination of 0.392, the amount of contribution made by parental attention to learning motivation is 39.2% influenced by parental attention, while 60.8% is influenced by other factors not examined. The relationship between these two variables is at a strong relationship level, between 0.61-0.80
