Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts of lecturers in improving student achievement by using the Montessori method in online learning in the learning media course. This type of research is classroom action research or Crassroom Action Research (CAR). The place of this research is in the PAI IAIN Surakarta study program. The research time is from March 2020 to May 2020. The results obtained in this study show that the application of the Montessori method can improve student learning achievement in the learning media course of the PAI IAIN Surakarta Study Program. This can be seen in the percentage of test completeness in each competency. In the pre-cycle completeness of 17%, the first cycle of completeness of 46% and the second cycle of 97%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of problem-based learning (PBL) models to the critical thinking skills of 5th graders at Elementary School. The method used in this research is classroom action research. In this study, there are two data, namely verbal data and nonverbal data. The research subjects were elementary school students in grade 5 in the city of Madiun. The collecting data using observation techniques, interviews and tests. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire and a test. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis uses questionnaire data and observation, while quantitative data uses test results. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills in thematic learning from cycle 1 and cycle 2. An increase in students' critical thinking skills in cycle I is 30%, students who pass the Minimum Completeness Criteria, and 60% of the second cycle in each cycle. The more students experience an increase in their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This community service activity is used to provide educational assistance that is hampered due to pandemic conditions that hit Indonesia or hampered due to other factors. This assistance is to catch up (learning loss) in the learning process which is carried out independently at the location closest to the student's home. This assistance uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which prioritises the utilisation of existing assets and potential around the target community. This community service activity provides learning assistance to communities in the Southwest Sumba district of NTT in the West Wawewa and Kodi sub-districts and is equipped with making learning modules for students. The mentoring time is from July 2023 to August 2023. The results of this service are assistance to teachers, community leaders, and young people. This mentoring activity aims to train participants to implement the Community Education clinic programme by providing modules in the form of learning manuals and LKPD for students. The manual contains learning steps, while the LKPD contains materials and exercises for students. LKPD contains tasks and socio-cultural based language learning. Then the mentoring participants practised how to teach based on the guidebook and LKPD in groups. ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian ini dimanfaatkan untuk memberikan pendampingan pendidikan yang terhambat karena kondisi pandemi yang melanda Indonesia maupun terhambat karena faktor lain. Pendampingan ini guna untuk mengejar ketertinggalan (learning loss) dalam proses belajar yang dilakukan secara mandiri di lokasi terdekat rumah siswa. Pendampingan ini menggunakan pendekatan (ABCD) Asset Based Community Development, yang mengutamakan pemanfaatan aset dan potensi yang ada di sekitar masyarakat sasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan pendampingan belajar kepada masyarakat di wilayah kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya NTT di kecamatan Wawewa Barat dan Kodi serta dilengkapi dengan pembuatan modul pembelajaran bagi peserta didik. Waktu pendampingan adalah pada Juli 2023 sampai denegan Agustus 2023. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah pendampingan kepada guru, tokoh masyarakat, dan muda mudi. Kegiatan pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk melatih para peserta untuk melaksanakan program klinik Pendidikan Masyarakat dengan memberikan modul berupa buku petunjuk pembelajaran dan LKPD untuk siswa. Buku panduan berisi Langkah-langkah pembelajaran, sedangkan LKPD berisi tentang materi dan latihan untuk siswa. LKPD berisi tentang tugas-tugas dan pembelajaran Bahasa berbasis sosial budaya. Kemudian peserta pendampingan mempratekkan cara mengajar berdasarkan buku panduan dan LKPD yang ada secara berkelompok.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the understanding, skills and marketing methods of the community around halal tourism tourist destinations. Providing skills in using digital social media in rebranding and marketing halal tourism for communities around Eastern Indonesia destinations. The service activities are carried out using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which prioritises the utilisation of assets and potential around the target community. The location of the service is in the Labuan Bajo tourism community. The implementation of training with Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which involved representatives of 20 tourism businesses in Labuan Bajo. The achievement obtained from this training is the opening of insights into the importance of halal labels in tourism businesses. The community can create digital content through Instagram as a means of promotion. ABSTRAKTujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah mengetahui pemahaman, keterampilan dan cara pemasaran masyarakat sekitar destinasi wisata pariwisata halal. Memberikan bekal keterampilan menggunakan media sosial digital dalam rebranding dan marketing pariwisata halal untuk masyarakat sekitar destinasi Indonesia Timur. Kegiatan pengabadian dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), yang mengutamakan pemanfaatan asset dan potensi yang ada di sekitar masyarakat sasaran. Lokasi pengabdian adalah pada masyarakat wisata Labuan Bajo. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dengan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dimana melibatkan perwakilan 20 pelaku usaha pariwisata di Labuan Bajo. Capaian yang didapat dari pelatihan ini adalah terbukanya wawasan pentingnya label halal dalam usaha pariwisata. Masyarakat dapat membuat konten digital melalui instagram sebagai sarana promosi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of PGMI IAIN Surakarta students in practicing the pedagogical, professional, personality, and ethical competencies of PPL students before carrying out practical field experiences. This research includes qualitative research and is descriptive-analytical. Data in this study were collected through interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analytical model used is an interactive model of analysis. The readiness of students to do PPL at MI is obtained from microteaching to practice teaching skills. Future trainees will be able to practice real classroom teaching skills when they begin to teach at MI. Micro teaching is the right way to train prospective students to practice teaching competencies. In general, PGMI IAIN Surakarta study program students are very ready to carry out Field Experience Practice (PPL) in 2019. This is shown by data that 100% of PGMI IAIN Surakarta study program students belong to the very ready category.

Abstract

During this COVID-19 period, all activities, especially education, are carried out at home. Using online learning media, such as Google Classroom, has led to online learning (in the network). This study aims to generate and determine the effectiveness of online learning using Google Classroom based on project-based learning on scientific literacy. This research method uses the type of research and development with the ADDIE development model. The stages in the ADDIE model consist of 5 stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data collection techniques used are test and non-test. The subjects in this study were elementary school students. From the research results obtained from the validation results of learning materials and media, the results of the assessment of Google Clasroom learning media based on project learning on scientific literacy obtained a percentage of 95% with the category "Very Valid" and the results of the validation of learning media obtained a percentage of 92%. So based on these results, this Google Clasroom based on project learning media product is suitable for use during the learning process at school.The result of the development of this learning media is a project-based learning media based on Google Classroom. It can be concluded that Google Classroom learning media based on project-based learning is suitable for use in online learning and improving students' scientific literacy.
