This writing is designed to analyze the impact of criminal-news of raping on television and it is analyzed based on gender perspectives. It is found that the given news events are bias as they feature women as weak, docile, taciturn, hopeless, powerless and careless and, in contrary, the men are featured as strong, powerful, smart, tricky, and full of sense. The truth-claim of conducting the rapes by the men are: uncontrolled emotion and of many external problems faced by the men. This crime-news should be formed appropriately to avoid gender bias and to avoid bad images on women as the victims of crimes. It is worsened by the fact, nowadays, that television is much more function as entertainment rather than as information-media.

This writing is aimed at discussing the role of Malay-Urban women in term of household economic effort. By employing anthropological approach, it is highlighted that women have important positions in economic life. It’s found that the Urban-Malay women play dominant role in sustaining economic needs both when they serve as wives and leader of thhe house. This article aims to identify problems of career women at work whether because of economic factors or because of social status. This study shows the variables associated with:1) the legth of employment, 2) reasons of work because of economic incentives, and 3) the views of career to career women. There are 30 civil servants as a career women spread in 11 regencies/cities in Jambi Province used as a sample in this study. This study uses a simple quantitative research. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. As overall, the results showed that studies have shown that although the career women who worked who worked as a civil servant in Jambi Province has a service life that is long enough, that over five years, but the ,otive for their work as the career women not because of economic incentives (mean =2.50; it’s a low interpretation). This is reinforced by the views of career to civil servant which they pursue are at the simple stage (mean =2.88). because of that, it can be concluded and identified that the issue of career women in a career for civil servants in Jambi Province, not because of economic problems. Allegedly because of issues of social status that requires them to work, although the issue of social status is not to be studied in this research.

Position of child by Sirri marriage, based on prevailing crustaceans associated to the mother. This provision makes child by Siri marriage did not get the rights protected by the rule of law. In fact, the legal status of Siri marriage according to Islamic law is valid, just not officially recorded. Determination of child by Siri marriage as young lawful means to protect the rights of children, especially those born through the Siri marriage.

This article tries to analyse a prophetic tradition concerning woman who perform their praying in the mosque. This study is done by implementing takhrij al hadits method. The result tenas to show that although women strongly suggested to pray at home, their praying in the mosque is quite acceptable.

Woman, in their career, are potential. They should do some innovations. Innovations are somewhat like ideas, some things understandable as novel things. The biggest challenges faced by the career-woman are stemming from themselves, namely the intrinsic challenges. As long as they are able to keep this intrinsic challenges with them, they will not be defeated by outside challenges. Consequently, the peak of achievement they achieve is not but the result of their intended innovations.

This article will highlight many problems on Islam and politics, especially around the arising debate on women president, the case: Megawati Soekarno Putri. The debates are very pierces as many component and element took parts including religious organization and the vest interests of political elements. The debates are of two sides: of traditional-revivalist in one side against its opponent, modernist-liberal, in other side. The first one is represented by the commoners and echoed by Islam puritans, like FPI, Laskar Jihad, Majelis Mujahiddin, and Kisdi. All of them are absolutely rejected women president. The later, represented by Modernist-Liberalist, obvisously supported by Moslems Liberal, in Indonesia.

This writing is aimed at investigating the Law No. 23 2004 on the elimination of violence in house hold. This law convers the prevention, protection and recovery action of the victim of violence specifically. The reinforcement of the law is still facing a bitter dilemma. The law demands that all the law enforcers and related-authorities to be responsive and sensitive toward the interest of household in which from the beginning is aimed at the unity and harmonious life of the household.

Language is a product of community culture that affects society and is influenced by society. Language is related to the values of gender equality because the construction of society towards gender equality can be done through the socialization of language, one of which is arabic pronouns and Sundanese. Language can affect the value of gender equality can also affect language products. This paper analyzes descriptions and information and balancing values to explain those values.
