Abstract

Duku (Lansium domesticum. Corr) is one of the fruit plants that grows a lot in Indonesia, especially in South Sumatra. Duku fruit has a fairly high level of consumption but takes a long time to reproduce. Modern duku propagation is an effort that can be used to overcome problems that occur in conventional duku cultivation. One of the efforts to propagate duku in a modern way can be done through tissue culture techniques. Tissue culture techniques can produce plants in large quantities and have the same characteristics and characteristics as the parent. This research was conducted from September 2022 – November 2022, taking place in the tissue culture room, the Integrated Laboratory of Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments (0.0 ppm, 1.0 ppm, 1.5 ppm, 2.0 ppm and 2.5 ppm) and 5 repetitions. This study was to determine the response of petiole and leaf bone explants to tuna induction by BAP hormone administration. The best research results were given a concentration of 1.0 ppm BAP with growth time at 7 HST with the formation of bulges (nodules) on the upper surface of the explants.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of various concentrations of betel leaf extract Wati (Piper methysticum G. Forst.) on the mortality rate of armyworm (Spodoptera litura F.) and to see which extract concentration is more effective in controlling armyworm pest (Spodoptera litura F.) in sweet potato (Hypere). This research was conducted from June to August 2019 at the Petra Baliem Wamena College of Agricultural Sciences Laboratory using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. Tests using betel leaf extract (Yulliaoken) with a concentration of 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%. Measurements were made on the mortality rate of armyworms in the form of a percentage (%). This research was carried out through 2 stages, namely: the preliminary test stage and the follow-up test stage. The results showed that Wati betel leaf extract (Piper methysticum G. Forst.) can increase the mortality of armyworm pests (Spodoptera litura F.) by administering the extract through immersion so that through feed, Wati betel leaf extract has the potential to be a stomach poison. The most effective concentration of betel leaf extract in increasing the mortality of second instar armyworm caterpillars was at concentrations of 80% and 90% within 5 hours. Thus, Wati betel leaf extract can be used as an effective vegetable insecticide in increasing the mortality of armyworm pests.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the effectiveness of applying liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of curly chili plants. This study used 3 kinds of liquid organic fertilizer compositions, namely SA (70% vegetable liquid organic fertilizer and 30% animal liquid organic fertilizer) which is not pasteurized and SB (70% vegetable liquid organic fertilizer and 30% animal liquid organic fertilizer) pasteurized. The doses given to plants by spray are SA (2 ml/liter of water), SB1 (2 ml/liter of water) and SB2 (4 ml/liter of water). This study was repeated four times, then the data were analyzed using Anava. If there is a difference, the effect is then tested with a 5% LSD test. Research shows that the use of liquid organic fertilizer that is pasteurized with a concentration of 4 ml/l water (SB2) showed the best results for the height of plant, number of leaves, and number of chilies, while for the number of branches that used the pasteurized liquid fertilizer (SB1 and SB2) showed better results than the liquid fertilizer that is unpasteurized (SA). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of liquid organic fertilizer with the basic ingredients of waste melon and eggshells on the growth and production of mustard plants, and determine the effective concentration of the growth and production of mustard plants. Liquid organic fertilizer is made with the composition of 3kg melon skin waste, 1kg eggshell, 7liter water, 1kg sugar and 1liter EM4. Four treatments were given with the concentration of 0% treatment as control, 10%, 15%, 20% for 30 days after mustard plants were treated. This study used a Completely Randomized Design consisting of 4 treatments with 6 replications. ANOVA test results showed that the four concentrations did not significantly influence height, number of leaves, and significant effect on productivity (wet weight) of mustard greens. LSD / BNT test showed that there was only a significant difference in treatment 3 for treatment 1, 2, and treatment 4 for wet weight. And no significant effect (p> 0.05) with the application of liquid organic fertilizer from melon and eggshell skin waste on the number of leaves and plant height. The conclusion of this research is that the application of liquid organic fertilizer from melon and eggshell skin waste with a concentration of 15% is an effective concentration and significantly influences the fresh weight of mustard plants.

Abstract

In making ceramics, several materials are needed, namely feldspar, silica, clay, and talc and go through several processes that are milling, casting, drying, dry body inspection, glazing and calcination. In order to get good rheology results, we must get quality ingredients. In the Lapindo mudflow, it is often likened to just a natural disaster and very few think about how to manage the mud. Lapindo mud there is a large amount of silica which might be used for making ceramics. To get pure silica in Lapindo mud it is necessary to carry out an extraction process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of medicinal plants on the Mount Pundak hiking trail. This research is quantitative descriptive research and data collection for this study used the plot method with a total of 8 plots at post 1 and 2 on the hiking trail with a size of 2m x 2m in each plot. Based on the results of observing the forest area of the Mount Pundak hiking trail, there are 10 plant species in post 1 and 12 plant species in post 2. The total types of undergrowth that have medicinal potential are 16 types of data. This finding is based on a literature study on the analysis of medicinal plants. The species diversity index (H') in post 1 is 1.4530 and in post 2 (H') is 1.602, this shows that the diversity of medicinal plant species in the forest of Mount Pundak is moderate.
