Abstract

This study aims to explore the urgency of reason and conscience (akal budi) in modern life through a content analysis of the Endgame podcast episode titled "Akal Budi Tidak untuk Disia-siakan" ("Reason and Conscience Are Not to Be Wasted"). The research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis and philosophical hermeneutics. The main findings reveal that akal budi is a fundamental human potential increasingly marginalized in a pragmatic and materialistic contemporary culture. The podcast invites deep reflection on how fast-paced, competitive, and technocentric modern life has diminished the contemplative spaces essential for nurturing human wisdom. Furthermore, the grounded philosophical discourse in the podcast offers a novel, accessible, and existential approach to life. The novelty of this research lies in utilizing podcast media as a contextual and spiritual source of philosophical thought. The study implies the urgency of reforming education and public discourse to foster spaces that support conscience, moral reflection, and human-centered values.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan fondasi penting bagi pembangunan suatu negara. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran pendidikan dalam mewujudkan potensi indonesia pada tahun 2045. Sumber data yang di peroleh dengan menyimak narasi dari channel Youtube Gita Wirjawan yang berjudul “Buka Jalan Menuju mimpi dan Pengetahuan”. Melalui analisis kebijakan publik dan pembiayaan pendidikan, Artikel ini membahas tantangan dan solusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di indonesia, termasuk masalah akses dan kualitas yang belum merata. Dengan demikian, Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada diskusi tentang pendidikan dan pembangunan di Indonesia, serta menjadi inspirasi bagi pembaca untuk membuat dampak positif dalam bidang pendidikan. Melalui refleksi pengalaman dan komitmen untuk membuat dampak sosial yang positif, Artikel ini berupaya memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya Pendidikan dalam membangun masa depan Indonesia.

Abstract

The enactment of Indonesia’s 2023 Criminal Code (KUHP) marks a new phase in the nation’s legal history. This reform does not merely replace colonial penal provisions but represents a paradigm shift toward a more humanistic and nationally oriented system of justice. This study examines the reform through two lenses: legal politics and linguistic analysis. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, it explores both the normative substance of the new KUHP and the linguistic features that reflect a progressive legal ideology. Findings indicate that the reform embodies Indonesia’s legal decolonization by shifting the philosophy of punishment from retribution to restoration. Linguistically, the new KUHP demonstrates more communicative, inclusive, and persuasive patterns in diction, syntax, and pragmatics, transforming the law into a discursive medium that fosters public awareness. Legal language designed to be more communicative, precise, and participatory, embodying substantive justice and Pancasila values.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of code-switching in English language instruction in Indonesian high schools, with an emphasis on the benefits and challenges that arise in the language immersion process in English learning. Through descriptive qualitative research, data is collected through student observation, reflective analysis, and informal student interviews. The results indicate that the strategic use of code-switching by teachers can increase students' comprehension of the material, decrease their level of understanding, and increase their sensitivity, especially for those who have a lower proficiency in English. However, more advanced usage can cause a dependence on the first language, which hinders the immersion learning process. Factors such as the use of English in daily interactions can negatively impact students' perceptions and responses to this strategy. Accordingly, code-switching can be an effective educational solution if it is used carefully and according to students' needs, as well as enhancing the concept of differentiation in instruction in the Merdeka curriculum.
