Abstract

In philosophy, “culture” denotes something separate from nature. Sociology, like ethology, defines culture as "what a group of people shares and unifies," that is, what is learned, transmitted, formed, and produced. Culture is what sets individuals apart from one other and their origins. It includes all aspects of human life, including communication and contact. Food is a need of existence, not just a means of sustenance. It also influences how we assess and recognize people, as well as their culture. Cuisines and ingredients vary greatly across civilizations, resulting in a fusion of foods and cultures. Food doesn't matter how they eat or cook it as long as it represents them and their culture. Cuisine and culture are intertwined, as are religion and customs. The rising number of Chinese people visiting Pakistan to work on hundreds of CPEC projects and Pakistanis visiting China for various reasons has helped Chinese cuisine gain popularity in Pakistan. Food is one of the most exciting ways to learn about culture. Active or experiential learning improves comprehension and retention. This article addresses the relationship between culture and food, claiming that teaching food as culture may assist build cultural awareness and intelligence. This theoretical investigation used primary and secondary data. The primary sources were books, official Chinese and Pakistani databases, and bilateral agreements, while secondary sources included research papers, newspapers, journals, and internet databases.

Abstract

The utilization of health care services depends upon the socio-economic status of the population, the severity of disease, the availability, accessibility, and affordability of health care services. The primary, secondary, and tertiary health care delivery systems are being revamped and fine-tuned in such a way that health care is delivered efficaciously to the people at the bottom of the economic pyramid. Three rounds of District Level Household and Facility Surveys (DLHS) have been undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the past (Round-I in 1998-99, Round-II in 2002-04, and Round-III in 2007-08) with the main objective to provide reproductive and child health-related database at the district level in India. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, later initiated the process of conducting DLHS-4 during 2011-2012 and designated the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) as the nodal agency to carry out the survey. The present study was undertaken based on DLHS-3 and DLHS-4 surveys of Namakkal district for comparative purposes with secondary data. The literacy status of mothers was significantly associated with the level of services availed by them. On many crucial aspects of health care services, there has been a manifold increase from DLHS-3 to DLHS-4. At the same time, it is essential to focus more intensively on other areas. Thus, there is a need and scope for more focused information, education, and communication efforts towards antenatal and postnatal services provided to mothers, especially in rural areas in the Namakkal district.

Abstract

The ability of an organization to share knowledge is viewed as a competitive advantage platform. A corporation must have processes in place to encourage and facilitate knowledge exchange inside the organization in order to acquire this advantage. The key elements that influence employees' knowledge comprehension are organizational and individual characteristics. A knowledge-based system called ontologies is required for personnel to properly cooperate and exchange knowledge. Ontology will provide innovative problem solving for searching and sharing their knowledge and experience by creating a cluster within the organization through the implementation of a search mechanism for effective communication This paper is aimed at investigating the emerging technology of Semantic Web and Ontology to design Ontology-Based Knowledge Management System (OKMS) for intra-organization that will support knowledge management activities. This was accomplished by establishing a cluster inside the organizational structure that will allow for unfettered information flow throughout the group of firms, boosting effective communication among the company's employees and optimizing profit. The modified waterfall model was used to create the system. The result demonstrates how learning, unlearning, relearning, and reflection are used to get the right knowledge to the right people at the right time, as well as assisting people in sharing and utilizing the information, developing and reflecting previous experiences, and practices for sharing knowledge to improve organizational performance and develop core-competencies. As a result, it's critical to comprehend the types of information exchanged and how an organization's expectations impact knowledge sharing among its members.

Abstract

This study evaluates Namhila’s autobiography through cognitive stylistics theory, also known as the mental image space theory. It further sought to test whether the link, path and balance schemata were present and how they have been used in the autobiography. The schema theory in linguistics examines how “general” knowledge is needed to make sense of written texts. The study found out that the balance, link and path schemata are all present in Namhila’s autobiography. The schemata assist readers to better understand the autobiography with a balance as mental and physical equilibrium, links to relationships and path as journeys from the beginning to the end. The study recommends the application of other theories of stylistics to the analysis of the different genres of literary texts.
