Abstract

Information systems play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of an organization. One of the programs aiming to assist students, particularly those who are beneficiaries of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) and need a recommendation letter for the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship from the Governor of Lampung, is known as Gerakan Ayo Kuliah (GAK). GAK also serves as a platform to encourage and generate interest in pursuing higher education among high school students from various districts across Lampung Province. However, the absence of a digital system for introducing and collecting data about the Gerakan Ayo Kuliah program has resulted in decreased enthusiasm among participants, and the program's reach remains limited. Additionally, the selection process for program participation is not as efficient as it could be. This research focuses on the development of an information system to manage KIP recommendation letters for college students who receive assistance from the GAK Social Service of Lampung Province. The system was constructed using the Waterfall methodology and was programmed using PHP, utilizing the Codeigniter framework. The system's functionality was evaluated through User Acceptance Testing. As a result, this research has produced a system that facilitates the connection between applicants, namely students, and the Gerakan Ayo Kuliah program when it comes to selecting recommendation letter data.

Abstract

The rapid progress in technology, particularly in the realm of information technology, has significantly impacted various aspects of daily life. Despite these advancements, many street vendors continue to conduct trade within housing complexes or on smaller streets. This presents a challenge for potential buyers who find it inconvenient to purchase goods from street vendors due to uncertainties about their presence and the types of merchandise they offer. To address this issue, a viable solution is proposed: the development of a tracking system that utilizes GPS technology on smartphones to monitor the movements of street vendors. The location data of these vendors is transmitted to the internet, where it is converted into accessible information through a web interface built with the Codeigniter framework. Black Box testing confirms the effective functionality of the system, and the evaluation yields a score of 82.28%, indicating its successful implementation.

Abstract

In this research, we aim to find the most efficient route from the Lampung Provincial Education Office to various State Senior High Schools in Lampung Province, employing both the Dijkstra Algorithm and the A* (A-Star) Algorithm. To address this problem, we model it as a weighted graph, where the vertices represent the locations of the Lampung Provincial Education Office and the Public High Schools, and the edges' weights represent the distances. Furthermore, we implement the solution using the Python programming language. The outcomes demonstrate that both algorithms yield optimal results with the same distance and route. However, when considering the execution time of the program, the A* (A-Star) algorithm outperforms Dijkstra's Algorithm because it quickly identifies the shortest path from the starting point to the destination, whereas Dijkstra's Algorithm explores the shortest paths from neighboring points first.

Abstract

Hate speech is a biased, antagonistic, and discriminatory expression that commonly appears on social media platforms, including TikTok. The high volume of comments and varied language styles make manual detection challenging. This research proposes a hate speech detection model using the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm with smoothing to address zero-probability issues and enhance prediction performance. The dataset is split into 80% training and 20% testing portions. The model achieves an accuracy of 88.41%, with precision, recall, and F1-score showing balanced performance. A user evaluation involving 35 participants and 7,415 TikTok comments records a detection accuracy of 68.6%. The model is further implemented into a Google Chrome extension capable of real-time hate speech detection, displaying prediction probabilities and allowing user validation. This study aims to support healthier digital interactions by improving automated hate speech detection on social media.

Abstract

This study investigates public sentiment toward gamification features in e-commerce platforms, focusing on user opinions expressed on social media platform X. As gamification strategies like Shopee Candy and Tokopedia Quiz become more common, understanding user perceptions is crucial for improving user experience. This research adopts a hybrid approach using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for sentiment classification and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) for topic modeling. A total of 765 user comments were collected using Tweet Harvest and processed through standard text preprocessing techniques. The CNN model achieved strong performance, with 81% accuracy, 86% precision, 89% recall, and an F1-score of 88%. LDA analysis revealed key terms in each sentiment group—positive sentiments centered on words like “menang” and “hibur,” while negative sentiments included “scam” and “capithaha.” The results demonstrate the effectiveness of combining CNN and LDA for analyzing sentiment and extracting dominant themes in informal online discussions. These insights can guide e-commerce platforms in refining gamification strategies that align with user expectations, helping to enhance engagement while addressing user concerns.
