Abstract

Introduction: In 2021 there were 22,403 positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Central Sulawesi, 595 cases died, and 5,992 people underwent quarantine. The number who have confirmed positive in Palu City is 4,993 people. One of the areas at high risk of an increase in cases in Palu City is Pantoloan Village, which is a port area where passengers come and go from various regions. Health cadres and related organizations need to be empowered to increase socialization of the implementation of health protocols in the community to prevent Covid-19. Community service program activities by lecturers at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu aim to provide understanding to the public about the application of health protocols in an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 in the Pantoloan Village. The methods of this activity is carried out by providing counseling and education to implement health protocols so that the transmission of Covid-19 can be prevented with infocus media. Implementation of activities on July 12-13 2022. Participants in this activity totaled 30 people consisting of PKK cadres and mothers. Abstract

Introduction: Diabetic neuropathy is a complication of diabetes that occurs quite often with a percentage of 28.7-39.5%. One of the efforts to reduce this number is early detection, which can be done by the general public. Early detection using the IpTT method has been shown to be safe, simple, requires no equipment, and can be done publicly. The purpose of this social service is to train health cadres to detect diabetic neuropathy using the IpTT method. Methods The service team implements this public service activity by applying the methods of lecture, discussion, demonstration and face-to-face training among the participants. This activity took place on Saturday, July 10, 2021, in the nursing class D3 of the Palus Tervishoiu Professional University. The target group of this activity is 36 health cadres representing 18 posbindus. Results: After the training and IpTT preparatory demonstration, the mean posttest score was 80 and was good in the IpTT preparatory skill category. Due to these results, it is necessary to periodically conduct IpTT trainings to update and improve the knowledge and skills of the cadres in conducting IpTT examinations. This educational activity using IPTT technology to detect diabetic neuropathy can be used as one program in the Talis Health Center area to reduce the number of amputations in diabetic patients.

Abstract

Introduction: The new normal period requires people to implement health protocols including social distancing which requires staying at home. This causes a decrease in community activity, including the elderly, who are a vulnerable group in the transmission of Covid-19. On the other hand, a decrease in the activity of the elderly can lead to reduced immunity and the health of the elderly in general. The aim of this community service is to increase the motivation of elderly people to do elderly exercise by implementing health protocols. Method This community service activity was carried out on June 10 2022. The targets involved in this community service activity were all elderly people and PSTW Tentena Madago administrators. Health promotion in the form of counseling and direct practice of exercise for the elderly is the method used to carry out this community service. Counseling material was carried out before the exercise by emphasizing the importance of physical activity for the elderly during the new normal period as an effort to increase the immunity of the elderly. The results of educational activities and elderly exercise can increase the motivation of elderly people to get involved in elderly exercise at PSTW Madago. Physical activity in the form of exercise for the elderly needs to be routine as an effort to maintain the health of the elderly at PSTW Madago
