Abstract

The presence of the Holy Spirit in Christian ministry, especially in the context of anointed preaching, has a profound and transformational role. This study aims to explore how the Holy Spirit influences the quality and effectiveness of preaching in the context of the contemporary church. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the perceptions and experiences of preachers and congregations regarding the anointing of the Holy Spirit in preaching. The results show that the anointing of the Holy Spirit strengthens the power of the proclamation of God's Word, increases the understanding and acceptance of the congregation, and brings about significant spiritual change. This study also identifies the variability of the anointing experience, which is influenced by the preacher's personal factors, spiritual preparation, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. In conclusion, this study confirms that the anointing of the Holy Spirit is a critical factor in effective preaching ministry, which requires full dependence on divine power to influence and change the lives of the congregation. Through anointed preaching, the church can realize living and powerful teaching, which influences and shapes Christians to become more mature in faith and love.

Abstract

Preaching faith in the digital age faces new challenges, especially in reaching out to Generation Z who live amid a culture of pluralism, moral relativism, and digital connectedness. This study aims to examine the theological meaning of James 2:18 in the context of preaching the Christian faith to a Gen Z group that is known for its digital, plural characteristics, and search for authentic spirituality. Using qualitative methods based on literature review and a historical-critical approach, this study interprets the Greek text grammatically and contextually to highlight the relationship between faith and deeds. The results showed that faith that is not realized in concrete actions does not have Effective Preaching power for Gen Z in contrast to previous studies that emphasized digital strategies or message delivery, this study focused on the integration of faith and action as authentic forms of preaching. This study concludes that the proclamation of faith should be voiced through real-life evidence and relational, not just through words or digital media alone. The main contribution of the study is a new theological framework that underlines the importance of the actualization of faith and social practice as contextual and transformative preaching for today's generation. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the Holy Spirit’s role in evangelism through a biblical pneumatological approach. The method employed is qualitative descriptive with a literature study of biblical texts and relevant theological sources. The findings reveal that the Holy Spirit is the primary agent in evangelism, working comprehensively in three phases: pre-evangelism, the evangelistic process, and post-evangelism. In the pre-evangelism phase, the Holy Spirit prepares human hearts and initiates divine mission. During the evangelistic process, the Spirit guides evangelists, grants boldness, and convicts individuals of sin. In the post-evangelism phase, the Spirit seals believers, performs regeneration, and guides spiritual growth. These findings affirm that the effectiveness of evangelism does not rely on human ability but on the sovereignty of the Holy Spirit’s work. This study contributes to a more holistic pneumatological framework of mission theology.
