Abstract

Putri Malu (Mimosa pudica Linn.) and Salam (Syzygium polyanthum) contain flavonoid that have antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine the effect of variations of tween 80 and span 80 on the physical quality of the cream and to determine the antioxidant activity of the combination cream of Putri Malu and Salam leaves. The study used the extracts of Putri Malu and Salam leaves which were macerated with ethyl acetate. The cream was made in 6 formulas with variations of emulsifier tween 80 3%, 4% and 5% and span 80 7%, 6% and 5%. Antioxidant cream was tested for physical quality and antioxidant activity and then analyzed by SPSS method. Based on statistics, variations in the concentration of tween 80 and span 80 affect the physical quality and stability of the combination cream of Putri Malu and Salam leaves extracts. The combination cream has antioxidant activity that is in the weak category. The formula with 3% tween 80 and 7% span 80 concentration had the best physical quality and the cream formula with 3% and 7%, 4% and 6%, and 5% and 5% concentration respectively had the best antioxidant activity which was not significantly different from the positive control cream.

Abstract

Conventional medicine is a course of action that used plants as medication, but there is little understanding of medicinal plants. The purpose of this investigation is to identify the varieties of plants that have therapeutic uses and the parts of plants that the Lampung Saibatin tribal community uses as medicinal plants, identify the methods by which the Lampung Saibatin tribal community uses medicinal plants. Ethnic group known as the Lampung in the Pesisir Barat Regency's Ngaras District. This study intends to identify the kinds of plants that are considered medicinal, ascertain certain plant components are utilized medicinally by the native community of Lampung Saibatin, ascertain the methods by which the Lampung Saibatin tribal community employs medicinal plants, and ascertain the manner. Plants in the Zingibereceae family are utilized by many people and 33 families; in traditional medicine, Fruits, rhizomes, shoots, sap, roots, stems, and leaves are among the plant parts that are used. Grated, chopped, squeezed, ground, soaked, boiled, pounded, torched, and eaten raw are the processing techniques.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the types and diversity of pteridophytes found in the Top Selfie Kragilan tourist area, Pakis, Magelang Regency. As well as to determine the feasibility and practicality of the biology module resulting from the inventory of ferns for use in high school learning. This research uses mixed methods, namely exploration and research and development methods which use the ADDIE research design with steps, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. (Evaluation). However, in this research only 4 stages were carried out without an implementation stage due to limited research time, costs and personnel. The subjects of this research consisted of pteridophyte plants, class X students of SMA N 2 Magelang, species expert validators, material experts, and also media experts. The instruments used in this research were interview sheets, observation sheets, validation sheets and practicality test questionnaires. Based on the research results, the following results were obtained: 1) Based on the results of the inventory of pteridophytes in Top Selfie Kragilan, there were 12 types of pteridophytes. 2) The results of calculating the species diversity index value (H') obtained a value of 1.5 in the medium diversity category. 3) The pteridophyta module based on the local potential of pteridophyte diversity in the Top Selfie Kragilan tourist area was declared valid and suitable for use in learning with a validity value of 3.51. 4) The practicality level of the module obtained a score of 81.71% with a practical category and suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

The field guide pocket book is a small book that can be put in a pocket so that it is easy to carry anywhere. This field guide pocket book contains pictures of tools and materials, criteria for mushroom morphology, making wet and dry herbariums and how to work when out in the field. This study aims to determine the feasibility of a field guide pocket book based on the results of an inventory of macroscopic fungi found in the Mount Temenggung Protection Forest, Ketapang Regency. The research instrument used is a validation sheet which includes aspects of format, content, language, and effectiveness. This field guide pocket book media was tested for feasibility by five validators, 2 validators from biology lecturers from FKIP Untan and 3 validators from high school/vocational high school biology teachers. The results of this study indicate that the field guide pocket book validation was carried out by five validators with a CVI (Content Validity Index) value of 0.99 which was declared feasible. Based on the results of the validation, it can be concluded that the field guide pocket book on the class X mushroom classification sub-material of high school/vocational high school is declared suitable to be used as a learning medium.Kata Kunci: Field Guide Pocket Book, Inventory, Fungi, Instrument

Abstract

The phenomenon of low student knowledge about the value of biodiversity can have an impact on reducing awareness of biodiversity loss. Efforts are made to study biodiversity value related to indigenous knowledge because biodiversity and indigenous knowledge have a close relationship. The indigenous knowledge of the Sambas people, known as Bubbor Paddas, has the potential to educate about biodiversity. The purpose of the research was to study Bubbor Paddas for an educational video of biodiversity. Another objective is to ascertain audience"™s perceptions of the educational videos that have been produced. The research methodology employed was field exploration, employing ethnobiological principles, to assess the Bubbor Paddas. A survey using questionnaires was also conducted to determine perceptions of the video. The making of Bubbor Paddas uses certain tools and processes. There are 25 plant species and one animal species used in making Bubbor Paddas. The 25 plant species belong to the clade or class of eudicots, monocots, magnoliids, and polypodiopsida. The animals used are anchovies from the class Actinopterygii. The educational video was uploaded via YouTube and a duration of 7 minutes, 46 seconds. The video is classified within an appropriate category, as it meets the criteria set forth in the video assessment indicators. Respondents stated that the video quality was good. A total of 69.23% strongly agreed that the Bubbor Paddas educational video provided new knowledge for the audience. The Bubbor Paddas educational video is expected to be an alternative to accommodate the low knowledge of the value of biodiversity. Keywords: Bubbor Paddas, indigenous knowledge, biodiversity value, educational video
