The training program for making mathematics teaching aids held at SDN Kembangringgit 2, Kembangringgit village, Pungging district, Mojokerto regency. Generally, this training aims to increase creativity and students’ enthusiasm for learning mathematics. The main objectives of this training are (1) to establish good relations with schools, (2) to make optimal use of mathematics teaching aids, (3) to provide training on how to make mathematics teaching aids and increase comprehension in mathematics by using mathematics teaching aids. While the target of this mathematics teaching aids training were teachers of elementary school in district of Pungging, Mojokerto regency. The approach used when delivering training matter was the discovery. In discovery approach, student find how to solve the problem themselves. While the methods that we used are lecture, discussion, and demonstration. The advice in this article is teachers should develop their abilities and understanding related to the development and application of teaching aids continuously.

The learning activities in the Quantum Education is having problems in learning activities arithmetic operation of calculating natural numbers, this due to mathematics is abstract. So it's very difficult to be understood by students with age range of 7-11 years. Teaching media is learning facilities that can concretize abstract teaching materials. The purpose of this activity is to see the success of TPS Desk as medium of mathematics learning that can improve students' understanding learning material of operations for natural numbers. The method used activity is the design, use and mentoring business bookkeeping. The results of the activities that have been done show that TPS Desk managed to increase students' understanding in learning activities arithmetic operations on natural numbers.

This study aimed to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving skill by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL)l. This type of study is classroom action research with two cycles. This study was conducted in collaboration between researcher and teacher of mathematics. Subjects were students of class X TKR 1 SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The study was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2018/2019. The research instrument consists of mathematical learning instruments and instruments to collect data. Mathematical learning instruments are syllabus, lesson plans, and students’ worksheets. Data collection instruments are observation sheets and mathematical problem solving tests. Data analysis techniques are analysis descriptive narrative of qualitative data and descriptive statistical analysis of quantitative data. The result of this study showed that the implementation of PBL improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving skill. The average of student’s mathematical problem solving skill in firts cycle which is 72,09 had improved to 85,67 in second cycle. The improvement also found in the indicator average value in identifying the problem, devising a plan to solve the problem, carrying out the plan to solve the problem, and interpreting the solution. This study concludes that the implementation of PBL improved the student’s mathematical problem solving skill at class X TKR 1 SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. PBL can be used as an alternative to learning, because through this learning can improve mathematical problem solving skill of the students.

This study aimed to determine students' mistakes in solving mathematics problems on the rational and irrational inequality of one variable. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects consisted of 36 students consisting of 17 boys and 19 girls. The research instrument used was a learning achievement test consisting of three items that referred to Basic Competence (KD) 3.2 Explain and determine the resolution of rational and irrational inequalities of one variable. From KD 3.2 developed into three Indicators of Competency Achievement (IPK). Each item measures a different IPK. Students' answers were analyzed descriptively qualitatively by looking at the types of mistakes students made on each item. The results showed that the mistakes made by students were concept errors, principle errors, and operating errors. The mistakes made by students are caused by students not being careful in solving problems and not understanding the rules of algebraic operations.

The arrangement of books in a library is one of the activities that must be carried out by a librarian. This is intended to ease library visitors looking for books they need. In this study, researchers provide a new method in organizing those books by applying vertex coloring in graph. This study aims to describe the application of vertex coloring in graph for arranging the books in MTs Al-Hikmah Janti’s library and for identifying the order of books that have been arranged using vertex coloring in graph. This study is a descriptive qualitative study involving documentation method and the object is book arrangement in the library of MTs Al-Hikmah Janti. The main instrument in this study is the researcher himself. Meanwhile, the supporting instruments in this study are the documentation guidelines. The data analysis that researchers employ is making color symbols for each book title, making graphs whose points have been colored according to the agreed color symbols, arranging the books based on the graph that has previously been designed. The way to apply vertex coloring in graph to arrange the books in the library of MTs Al-Hikmah is by making a color symbol to each book title, making a graph starting from rack 1 to rack 4 so that the different color can be assigned to the interconnected points (according to the color symbol which have been made from each lesson). The number of points in the graph is associated to the number of books on each shelf.

The purpose of this study is to determine the difficulties of students in linear algebra subject. The subject of linear algebra is one of the compulsory subjects in the Informatics Management Study Program. From the last 3 years, in linear algebra subject, students who get below average scores are always there. Difficulties in linear algebra subject need to be analyzed so that it can be known the cause of the difficulties. The study was conducted on informatics management students in 2019/2020. From this study, the causes of difficulties in algebra are 1) the lack of skilled students in integer operations, 2) students didn’t thorough, 3) student logic ability is still lacking to do Elementary Row Operations, 4) students doubt in solving problems.

This research stems from the writer’s curiosity about the difference of spatial intelligence between male and female students in SMA YPK Medan. The purpose of this research was to describe data of the difference of spatial intelligence between male and female students. This research was a comparative causal research. The sample of this research were 65 students of SMA YPK Medan, which consisted of 32 were female students and 33 were male students. Data to be collected in this research was the data of student’s spatial intelligence which were grouped, i.e. the data of female students spatial intelligence and the data of male students spatial intelligence. The data were collected then analyzed by independent samples t-test in SPSS program. From result of SPSS obtained data Sig 0,02 < 0,05. Based on the result of data analysis could be conluded that there were the difference of spatial intelligence between male and female students in SMA YPK Medan. The average spatial intelligence of male students were 27,06 higher than the average spatial intelligence of female students were 26,76. Then it could be concluded the spatial intelligence of male students better than the spatial intelligence of female students.

This research is the development research, which aims to develop a formula for constructing props volume beams and tubes that can be used in primary and secondary education levels. This research has resulted 1) A set of props to construct formulas accompanied beam volume usage procedures, 2) A set of props to construct the volume of the tube with the procedures used. The process begins with the development of props issue of lack of teachers ability (participants PLPG 2013) to describes the process of formation of the volume formula beams and tube, then researchers design and make the props, then performed the validation and testing. The results of the validation state that props valid for use in primary and secondary education level.

The background of this research is the lack of a valid, practical and effective ICT-based learning media to learn about relations and functions. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The development model used in this study is the Plomp instructional model which consists of five phases namely: (1) the initial investigation phase; (2) the design phase; (3) realization phase; (4) test, evaluation and revision phases; (5) implementation phase. The purpose of this study is to develop ICT-based learning media on the subject of relations and functions that are valid, practical and efficient. The subjects of the study were 33 students of VIII grade SMP Negeri 5 Singingi Hilir. The instruments used were validation questionnaire, student response questionnaire and learning motivation questionnaire. Questionnaire sheets were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on the results of data analysis, the developed media are in a very valid category, practical to use on learning about relations and functions and effective to increase student learning motivation.

This study aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes by applying the think pair think (TPS) cooperative learning models to class XI science students of SMAN 1 Bunut subject matter Limit Function even semester for the 2016/2017. The low learning outcomes of students of class XI in SMAN 1 Bunut should be suspected because of the lack of student participation, lack of interaction between students and because teachers still tend to use the lecture method in the learning process. This research is a class action research with two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. The research subjects consisted of 24 students. The results showed an improvement in the learning process and an increase in mathematics learning outcomes. Improved learning outcomes can be seen from the results of daily tests I there are 6 students who contributed the development value of 20 and 9 students who contributed the value of development 30. This means that there are 15 students who get a daily test score I is higher than the basic score. In daily test II there were 6 students who contributed 20 developments scores and 14 students who contributed 30 development scores. It means that there were 20 students who got daily II test scores higher than daily test I. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the TPS cooperative learning model can improve the learning process for the better. So that this model may become an alternative model of learning by the teacher when teaching the topic of limit functions.
