Abstract

Chili is a type of plant that can grow in various types of area, in lowland and highland areas and also can adapt well at a temperature of 24-27 ˚C. The purpose of this research in order to know the influence and effectiveness of the packages technology of Trichoderma sp. mixed with compost, rain shelter and pesticides to control the development of pests in cayenne chili plants and long chili in the highland area. This research was conducted from September 2017 to February 2018, in Pancasari Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali. The study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors and four times replications. The first factor was chili type (cayenne chili and long chilli), and the second factor was the use of technologies, compost plus Trichoderma sp., rain shelter, and pesticide. The variable was observed in this research were population of aphis, percentage of fruit fly and yields. The results showed that all treatment technologies effectively suppressed pests development when compared with control. The result show that the damage population of the highest aphis pest was found in control about 194 of Aphids, and population of aphids on pesticide treatment were not found. The result show that damage percentage of the highest fruit fly pest was found in control treatment with the percentage of 76,55% while the lowest percentage was found in pecticide treatment. The rain shelter treatment showed the highest yields were reached 405,87 gr and the control treatment showed the lowest yields were reached 12,03 gr.

Abstract

Static balance disorders are often found in children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (AD / HD) which causes difficulty maintaining a position and concentration on onething. The development of balance is influenced by the maturity of specific nerve cells, experience, and environment. If this is left untrained it will certainly cause problems in thedevelopment process one of which is activities that require children to sit still or stand up. This study aims to look at postural stability exercise in improving static balance in children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (AD / HD). The research is experimental with the design of one pre-test and post-test group design. Exercise is carried out three times a week for four weeks. Static balance measuring instrument with one leg stance test. Data analysis was obtained by descriptive analysis and normality test with shapiro Wilk test, and hypothesis testing was carried out by Wilcoxon test. The analysis shows that postural stability exercise increases static balance by 94.9% from the average before 9.83 and after 19.16 so that postural stability exercise is proven to improve static balance in children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (AD / HD) ages 7-8 year at Pradnyagama Foundation.

Abstract

Rice farming is very important to provide food for the population in the country. The increased rice productivity in Indonesia has been done since 1968 through the green revolution program. However, this program has brought the negative impacts for the physical environment which contributes to decreased productivity. Therefore, the effort to sustain the agricultural development should be taken by the government by applying sustainable agricultural technologies. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation sustainable agricultural technologies, particularly on rice farming in Bali Province, Indonesia. The results of study pointed out that the sustainable agricultural technologies in rice farming could be done by implementing SRI, organic farming, and integrated pest management. These have an important role to ensure the increased productivity of rice. Besides, these could also support the economic activities in the upstream to the downstream sectors. It is recommended to government and other stakeholders to consider ecological and environmental aspects in the application of new agricultural technologies.

Abstract

Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc. is one of the important pathogens in peanuts. The controls that have been undertaken by farmers generally use synthetic pesticides. However, the use of synthetic pesticides has various negative impacts on the environment and human health. Therefore a technology is needed to produce environmentally friendly pesticides and effectively control stem rot. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Jeringau rhizome extract against S. Rolfsii fungi. The results showed that the crude extract of the Jeringau rhizome was able to inhibit the growth of S. rolfsii fungi in vitro on PDA media. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) crude extract of jeringau rhizome was 0.50%. The inhibitory power of the extract with a concentration of 0.10% to 0.50% increased from 48.17% to 100%. The treatment of extract concentration of 0.50% showed fungicidal properties against S. rolfsii.
