Abstract

This research is based on the communication skills of deaf students which can be developed if there is one of the supporting factors. You can know that deaf children are those who experience a lack or loss of the ability to hear either partially or completely due to the malfunctioning of part or all of the deterrent device in life everyday that has a complex impact on life . The limited communication skills that deaf children have, especially in verbal communication skills , are a reason for them to use non-verbal language (signs) for interact with each other . The purpose of this study was to determine the interpersonal communication process of deaf teachers and students in the use of verbal and nonverbal communication at SLB Negeri 1 Padang. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques that include interviews, observations and documentation. The results showed that the interpersonal communication process of deaf teachers and students was good, but in the use of verbal and nonverbal communication there were obstacles, namely in the difficulty of understanding deaf students and the use of language due to limited vocabulary possessed. In this case, SLB Negeri 1 Padang has not implemented an official language such as SIBI (Indonesian Sign Language System) in the communication process between teachers and deaf students because deaf students are more accustomed to everyday sign language (mother tongue).

Abstract

Korean culture called Hallyu has produced many products such as movies, music, food, drama series, fashion and lifestyle. These Hallyu products spread all over the world with thedevelopment of science and technology. Therefore, through research, researchers have problems with the type of Korean language that can be used as a style of speaking in public when watching Korean dramas according to the scriptwriter's direction and inclination. This research is entitled "Analysis of Increased Public Speaking of SMA N 09 Palembang Students from Watching K-dramas" This study aims to find out how the Public Speaking Ability of female students before watching k-dramas, Why do SMA N 09 Palembang students like k-drana, and is there any impact from watching k-dramas on students' Public Speaking abilities. This research uses the Uses and Gratifications Theory. Consists of Observations, Interviews, and Documentation. Based on the results of the research that have been described, it can be concluded that the Public Speaking Ability of Students Before Watching K-dramas is Ordinary. Why do SMA N 09 Palembang students like k-drama so much because the storyline is very interesting, from a unique background story and Korean language is exciting with its accent or intonation and don't forget the actors and actresses who are very handsome and beautiful so that many teenagers, especially SMA N students 09 Palembang who really liked the drama.And is there an impact of watching K-drama on the student's public speaking ability from the statement from the results of the interview? Some of them have improved and some are mediocre. In terms of speaking style, many can learn Korean from watching Korean drama shows, this is related to Typology of Uses and Gratifications by Rubin (1981) where the reason for using media is to get information, learn about material, this is related to the increase in public speaking of the SMA N 09 Palembang students.

Abstract

Organizational Communication is a form of exchanging messages between communication units within an organization. Organizations consist of communication units in a hierarchical relationship with one another and function within an environment. In addition, in the exchange of information from employees and leaders, the expectations of employees and the will of the leadership merge into one to form a common perception, vision and mission of the company. The company is an organization consisting of a group or system of individuals who generally strive to achieve predetermined goals through a hierarchy of rank and division of labor as well as in an organization, both on a small and large scale, where all problems meet, namely communication. Where communication cannot be one-way within a company, namely from superiors to subordinates, but also must be two-way and reciprocal so that what all parties want can be realized properly. This research was conducted with the consideration of seeing that the Lahat Hospital turned out to be the strategy implemented was still not able to increase employee motivation. It can be seen that there are still employees who are not responsible for their work, namely going in and out during working hours. This can affect work productivity, this situation arises because the strategy is not optimal.

Abstract

: This research is about Interpersonal Da’wah Communication between Peruqyah and Patients at the Al-Hijrah Clinic Palembang City. Interpersonal communication plays an important role in the delivery of islamic da’wah. One of the delivery of islamic da’wah can be done with the ruqyah process. The purpose of this research is to find out how the interpersonal communication aspects are contained in the ruqyah process. This study uses a qualitative research method, where the data obtaine emphasizes words and pictures. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study can be seen that aspects of interpersonal communication play an important role in the ruqyah process so that the message of islamic da’wah is conveyed. With the interpersonal communication carried out by Ustadz Parto to his patients, patients can receive messages easily.

Abstract

This research is about how the Organizational Communication of EMIS Pontren of the Ministry of Religion in providing information on Islamic Boarding Schools data collection as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in providing Islamic Boarding Schools Institution data collection information. The communication strategy built by the EMIS Pontren relationship can add trust to Islamic Boarding Schools Institutions and the public so as to create a separate positive image of a Government Intitution. The positive image that is built needs to be maintained because it has a role and reputation for government. This study uses a qualitative research method with the data obtained in the form of documents, observations, and direct interviews. The purpose of this study was to find out how the EMIS of Islamic Boarding Schools provided registration information for Islamic Boarding Schools at the Office of the Ministy of Religion of South Sumatera Province and what were the supporting and inhibiting factors for EMIS in providing information.The result of this study are the EMIS Pontren Organization Communication in providing Islamic boarding schools data collection information, namely knowing communication targets, compiling messages, eatablishing metdos, and choosing strategic communication media in public relations activities based on interwiews conducted by researcher, namely reducing, canalizing, informative, persuasive, educative strategy which is used in its application in carrying out the vision and mission that has been designed by the agency, this strategy has helped agencies, especially in the field of service and providing information on EMIS Pontren PAKIS

Abstract

One of the communication technologies that can be used as an intermediary to convey da'wah messages is social media, one of which is Tiktok. The younger generation in this case is expected to participate in spreading the teachings of Islam through the creation of da'wah content with creative and innovative ideas. This study uses a qualitative field research method with descriptive analysis. Interviews, observation, and documentation were used to collect data. According to the findings of this study Husain Basyasman used Tiktok as a propaganda medium where he shared his knowledge, about aqidah, morals and sharia knowledge. The way he delivered da'wah was also easy to understand and creative. The impact is the increase in their religious knowledge. In addition, students also have a desire to create da'wah content so that a better society can be realized. On the other hand, there are also students who are not interested in making da'wah content because they feel that their religious knowledge is not quite enough.

Abstract

This thesis is entitled "KAI DIVRE III Public Relations Strategy in Facing Negative Issues" The development of technology has progressed greatly. Technology has penetrated into various fields, ranging from information, communication to transportation, one of which is Indonesian Railways. Every company including PT KAI (Persero) is required to continuously prepare itself to anticipate and adapt to the changes that occur. in an agency or company Public Relations is certainly very necessary and is one of the very important parts. With the right interaction with the public, the company can produce good public perception with the reputation and image of a company being positive in the eyes of the public. Recently, an accident occurred at a railroad crossing in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The incident involved an Avanza-type car and a Babaranjang train. The news quickly spread in the community, so that the news will certainly cause unpleasant issues, and will certainly cause different perceptions in the eyes of the community. From some comments on the post, many people have different views and misinterpretations and the author feels, such as one example that the author found in the comments column of the video uploaded by TribunJatim Official on YouTube. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the KAI DIVRE III Public Relations strategy in dealing with negative issues that develop in society. This research uses a qualitative approach Qualitative methods are used to obtain in-depth data, data that contains meaning. The data collection technique is documentation in the form of news related to research and in-depth interviews. The theory used in this research is the 4 principle models of Public Relations Strategy put forward by (M. Cutlip & Allen H. Center) 1. Fact Finding (Fact Finding), 2. Planning (Planning), 3. Action & Communication (Action and Communication), 4. Evaluating (Evaluation). From the results of the research, KAI DIVRE III Public Relations in dealing with negative issues uses the 4 Cutlip & Center principle models and each model has its own strategy and in each strategy it is running well.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Role of Organizational Communication in Improving the Existence of Amil Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah Muhammadiyah Institutions Palembang City". This study aims to determine the role of organizational communication in achieving organizational goals to increase the existence of LAZISMU Palembang City. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method using data sources, namely primary and secondary data consisting of 8 (eight) research informants. Then this study used data collection techniques in the form of through the stages of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation with data analysis techniques carried out with several processes where the researcher carried out data reduction and data presentation so that conclusions could be drawn from the research. This research is based on the theory of Daniel Katz and Robert L.Khan in Arni Muhammad's book entitled Organizational Communication, which then results from the theory and research conducted previously that organizational communication acts as a vessel for realizing organizational expectations or goals. LAZISMU Palembang City, organizational communication also has an important role as the main key in the organization because organizational communication from LAZISMU Palembang City acts as a mediator for the leadership and management staff of the institution in providing various opinions, suggestions, ideas and criticism. Organizational communication also plays an important role in increasing the productivity and quality of performance of the leadership and managing staff of the institution where communication must always be prioritized. Organizational communication plays an important role in carrying out internal and external activities within LAZISMU Palembang City and is fundamental for the smooth operation of this institution.

Abstract

One of the instruments and medium that is particularly efficient at everything, including spreading messages of da'wah, is film. Da'wah messages, which derive from the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, are Islamic teaching tools that address all facets of life in terms of aqidah, sharia, and morals. Dakwah activities in the millennial era have recently been more in touch with the film industry. Preman Pensiun Second Chance is one of the movies with a missionary theme. This movie combines the drama, comedy, crime, and action genres. The issue that the author will look at in the movie Preman Pensiun Prestasi Second is how the construction of the meaning of da'wah in the movie Preman Pensiun Prestasi Second and descriptive qualitative methods are used in this study. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis is also used in this study. According to the findings of this study, the film Second Chance Pensiun Preman contains one scene that preaches aqidah principles, one scene that preaches sharia principles, and one scene that preaches moral principles. Preman Pensiun Second Chance uses one scene each of aqidah, sharia, and morality to establish the meaning of its da'wah, in contrast.

Abstract

This Korean drama titled "Argon" is a Korean drama that tells the story of a journalist and reporter named Kim Baek Jin, the leader of an investigative program called Argon. He just wants himself and the Argon team to report the truth. The focus of the research is how the Argon team in episodes 6 and 7 resolved the Sumyoung Food company case. The problems to be studied are how the implementation of the nine elements of journalism contained in episodes 6 and 7 with John Fiske's semiotic analysis and how the professionalism of journalists in the Korean drama Argon episodes 6 and 7 through the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by documentation, namely collecting scenes in Korean drama Argon episodes 6 and 7 and literature study, which was obtained by obtaining data through journals, theses, books, and articles. The results of this study are Korean drama Argon episodes 6 and 7 showing the implementation of the nine elements of journalism using John Fiske's semiotic analysis with three levels of coding.
