Abstract

Population growth that is not balanced with the availability of agricultural land can result in shrinkage of rice fields, threatening food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector in the region. The method used in this research is a simulation modeling method with a dynamic system approach. The simulation model was developed based on study data on population growth and reduction in forest area, as well as other factors that could influence it. Dynamic systems techniques are often used to analyze systems that have many dependencies between components. This loop shows how changes in a system element affect future changes in the same element through a series of cause and effect relationships. The increasing need for land triggers a reduction in the area of rice fields, which results in a decrease in food production. Population growth in Bantul district has resulted in the need for land, where the depreciation of rice fields has increased, resulting in a decrease in the amount of food production in the area. Projected population growth for Bantul Regency shows an increase of 10% per year, which can provide an idea of the burden faced by this region in providing services and infrastructure for its growing population. The analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between population growth and shrinkage of rice fields. The increasing need for food due to rapid population growth can put significant pressure on food security at the local level.

Abstract

As time goes by, globalization will give rise to increasingly fierce competition, so that only countries that have strong competitiveness will be able to survive, so it requires coffee producers in Indonesia to be able to meet consumer needs in a more satisfying way than in competing countries. This research aims to find out the factors that influence the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee commodities in the world market. The method used is a quantitative method using secondary data. The data analysis technique uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The research results show that in the partial t test results the Production Variable (X1) has a significant effect on Export Volume (Y) and the Price Variable (X2) and the Dollar Exchange Rate Variable (X3) do not have a significant effect on Export Volume (Y) on commodity competitiveness Indonesian coffee on the world market. From the simultaneous f test results, it was found that all independent variables (X) had a significant influence on Export Volume (Y) on the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee commodities in the world market. The conclusion of this research is to increase coffee production and improve quality in order to be able to increase Indonesian coffee commodities so that they can have a higher influence on the world market.

So why is this study very important to measure how much participation of farmer groups in the agricultural extension work program In Maritenggae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, the aim of this study was to ascertain the degree of engagement and satisfaction of farmer groups in the agricultural extension work program. This study was carried out in the Maritenggae District of the Sidenreng Rappang Regency between March and May of 2024. With a sample of 30 farmer groups, the study's population consisted of 861 members of farmer groups in Maritenggae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. Questionnaires were used in conjunction with direct interviews to obtain data. Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and descriptive analysis were the analytical methods employed in this investigation. The study's findings indicate that farmer groups' engagement had an average percentage value of 89%, with a very participating category. Although the outcomes of the, Farmer groups must be active and participate in extension services held by extension workers so that they can learn and apply the knowledge provided. Extension workers must also help farmer groups improve their skills and abilities to increase the productivity of their farming businesses, agricultural extension workers must also improve their performance to farmer groups.

Abstract

Rice, as a commodity that plays a central role in Indonesian society, not only serves as the primary source of food but also the rice farming sector is a source of livelihood for farmers and the community. One way to increase rice production is by using certified rice varieties and types. Seeds play an important role in agriculture, and one form of technology application to increase seed productivity is through the use of superior varieties with official licenses or certifications. In addition, uncertified seeds have weaknesses such as low resistance to pests and diseases, non-uniform growth, and a decline in quality if planted repeatedly over a long period. The difference in the use of certified and uncertified seeds can affect farmer productivity and income. Thus, this study aims to analyze the difference in productivity between farmers who use certified and uncertified rice seeds in Bantul Regency. The location determination technique was carried out using the Purposive Sampling Method, while sample taking in this study was carried out using simple random sampling, which is random data taking from a portion of the entire population. The number of samples of craftsmen taken was 50 farmers. The results of the analysis show that the income obtained by farmers can be seen that the income obtained by farmers who use certified seeds is higher than that of farmers who use uncertified seeds. This can be seen that the production produced by farmers who use certified seeds is greater than that of farmers who use uncertified seeds. It can be seen that the income obtained by farmers who use certified seeds is Rp 7,017,358 in the rainy season and Rp 7,378,604 in the dry season, while the income of farmers who use uncertified seeds is Rp 6,604,672 in the rainy season and Rp 6,248,007 in the dry season. This income is influenced by certified seeds and the costs incurred by farmers each season, as well as the production produced, and the costs incurred and production produced each season vary, so the income obtained by farmers also varies.

Abstract

Farmer groups often face various problems in terms of production activities, one of which is the problem of production efficiency. When a production activity does not run efficiently, it will have an impact on the waste of resources spent. In the end, it will reduce the profits obtained. Therefore, PIKMa Universitas Putra Bangsa proposed the Innovative Approach to Vegetable Cultivation Program by Utilizing IOT-Based Smart Farming Technology in the Jatimulyo Village Women's Farmer Group as a PPK ORMAWA activity to be funded by DIKTI. A program is expected to run effectively to ensure that the budget that has been disbursed by the government is not wasted. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the programs that have been carried out in order to see the impact of the program. This study was conducted to see the impact of the Innovative Approach to Vegetable Cultivation Program by Utilizing IOT-Based Smart Farming Technology to Increase the efficiency of vegetable production carried out by the Jatimulyo Village Women's Farmer Group, Alian District. The sample in this study were all members of the Jatimulyo Village women's farmer group, Alian District, Kebumen Regency. The data used in this study are primary data collected and then analyzed using simple linear regression which was previously tested for validity and reliability. Based on the analysis conducted, it is proven that the Innovative Vegetable Cultivation Approach Program by Utilizing IOT-Based Smart Farming Technology has a significant effect on Crop Production Efficiency in the Women Farmers Group of Jatimulyo Village, Alian District.
