Abstract

Corn is a key food sector that plays an important role in boosting the economy in Indonesia. Madura, as one of the largest corn-producing regions in East Java, continues to strive for corn self-sufficiency through the provision of superior corn seeds. PT. Giri Agro Raya Sejahtera (PT. GARS) is an agricultural company in Madura that produces high-quality corn seeds of the Madura-3 variety. As a newly established company, PT. GARS still faces limitations in its risk planning. The company has experienced several unexpected events related to its operational system, resulting in losses. The aim of this study is to identify sources of risk and analyze the level of risk at PT. GARS. The research methods used are the Fishbone Diagram and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The data were obtained through interviews with key informants, consisting of one company director, one processing manager, one marketing manager, and one marketing staff member. Based on the fishbone diagram, five types of risks were identified: (1) human resource risks, including occupational health and safety as well as human behavior; (2) production risks, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting; (3) technological risks, consisting of equipment availability and technological mastery; (4) process risks, which involve seed processing and seed quality testing; and (5) external risks, including weather, pest and disease attacks, competitors, and distribution. Based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN), two sources of risk with high risk levels are process risks in seed processing and external risks, particularly unpredictable weather.

Abstract

Fertilization aims to replace lost nutrients and increase the supply of nutrients needed by plants to increase plant production and quality. The availability of complete and balanced nutrients that can be absorbed by plants is a determining factor in plant growth and production. One fertilizer with a high nutrient content that is good for plants is organic fertilizer. The aim of this research is to determine farmers' responses based on cognitive aspects to the application of organic fertilizer. The research location was determined purposefully in Jurit Baru Village, East Lombok. The research sample was determined by simple random sampling of as many as 24 lowland rice farmers who were members of 12 farmer groups. The data analysis method uses a Likert scale with an answer score of 1 to 3 for all measurement indicators expressed as a percentage. The research results show that the application of organic fertilizer is based on the cognitive aspects of farmers; most of them know the purpose, benefits, and advantages of organic fertilizer. Meanwhile, the weaknesses are not well known by rice farmers. Overall, farmers have used organic fertilizer in rice farming. However, the dosage used is still a combination of conventional and organic.

This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, by collecting data and analyzing it in depth to describe the facts systematically, factually, and accurately. The qualitative approach allows researchers to understand the phenomena that occur based on experience and interpretation of data in the form of speech, writing, and behavior. Instagram insight analysis was carried out on data on impressions, reach, and content interactions recorded during the period from November 20, 2023 to April 28, 2025. The informant selection technique was also carried out purposively, involving six informants consisting of four key informants and two additional informants. The results of the study show that the Instagram account @great.andgreen experienced positive growth with a total of 1,335 followers, dominated by users aged 18–24 years. This encourages the use of a non-formal language style that is adjusted to the characteristics of a young audience. The total number of impressions obtained was 130,413 with the highest impressions coming from the promotional content "Holiday Farm". The content reach reached 18,991, with the highest reach on the educational video on maggot cultivation. The high reach shows great potential in expanding influence beyond the main followers. Content interaction also showed positive results reaching 2,215 interactions through the number of likes, saves, comments, and shares. Digital utilization includes elements such as brand story, brand mission, product samples, community development, memorable content and packaging, and differentiation.

Abstract

Vegetable commodities are horticultural commodities that have been able to contribute to national development in order to realize community welfare, such as fulfilling community nutrition as a complement to four healthy five perfect foods, this commodity is also very potential and prospective to be cultivated because the cultivation method tends to be easy and simple. In addition to being a superior commodity, vegetable commodities also play a role as a source of community nutrition, a source of foreign exchange, supporting agro-tourism and agro-industry activities. One type of chili that is widely consumed in Indonesia is red chili. Red chili is widely consumed by the community both for household consumption and the food industry. This is important in addition to the potential of red chili which has bright prospects but on the other hand it is necessary to how to stabilize the supply of red chili so that it can still be easily consumed by the community. This study was conducted to measure the level of technical efficiency in curly red chili farming in Cianjur Regency. The data collection method used primary data through interview techniques by taking a sample of 36 farmers in Pacet and Sukanagara Villages. The analysis used was the Stochastic Frontier Cobb Douglass Production Function. The variables used are land area (X1), seeds (X2), labor (X3), NPK fertilizer (X4), and the amount of curly red chili production (Y). To support this research, analysis tools were used in the form of Frontier 4.1 software, Ms Office Excel, and SPSS applications. Based on the results of the study, the majority of chili farmers in Cianjur Regency have been technically efficient. This is indicated by 75% of chili farmers having used production inputs proportionally. On average, chili farmers in Cianjur Regency have achieved a level of technical efficiency with a value of 0.786. Abstract

Cow manure in Sidorejo Village, Lendah District, has yet to be effectively utilized for the production of organic fertilizer. This study aims to understand the contribution of internal factors, external factors, and innovation characteristics to the adoption level among farmers in utilizing cow manure for organic fertilizer production in Sidorejo Village, Lendah District. This study involved 64 farmers as respondents, selected using proportional random sampling technique. The study employed a quantitative approach using inferential statistics through multiple linear regression analysis. The study found that variables significantly influencing the adoption level of cow manure utilization for organic fertilizer include the role of farmer group leaders, the role of extension agents, perceived relative advantage, compatibility, trialability, and observability. Meanwhile, the study shows that age, education, farming experience, and compatibility do not have a significant influence on the adoption level of cow manure utilization for organic fertilizer. These findings highlight the importance of utilizing cow manure as organic fertilizer to benefit the soil and crops, while reducing excessive use of chemical fertilizers. Therefore, it is recommended that farmers be willing to embrace new knowledge and gradually move away from the old habit of leaving livestock waste untreated. Additionally, support from local extension agents is needed to disseminate knowledge about utilizing cow manure as organic fertilizer, ensuring that farmers receive this information evenly.
