Abstract

Multiple imputation is one of estimation method used to impute missing observations. This method imputes missing observation several times then it is more possible to get the right estimate than just one time imputation. In this research, the method will be applied to estimate missing observations in covariates of recurrent event data. Some multiple imputation methods will be considered including combination of the event indicator, the event  times,   the logarithm of event times, and the cumulative baseline hazard. To compare these methods, Monte Carlo simulation will be used based on relative bias and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The recurrent events will be modelled using Cox proportional hazard model. Furthermore, real data application will be presented.

Abstract

In the Gamma-semigroup generated from a semigroup, we can define some equivalence relations called the Green relation. Furthermore, we can examine the relationship between the Green relation on the Gamma-semigroup and the Green relation on it’s generating semigroup.

Abstract

The weak solution is one of solutions of the partial differential equations, that is generated from derivative of the distribution. In particular, the definition of a weak solution of the Dirichlet problem for second order linear elliptic partial differential equations is constructed by the definition and the characteristics of Sobolev spaces on Lipschitz domain in R^n. By using the Lax Milgram Theorem, Alternative Fredholm Theorem and Maximum Principle Theorem, we derived the sufficient conditions to ensure the uniqueness of the weak solution of Dirichlet problem for second order linear elliptic partial differential equations. Furthermore, we discussed the eigenvalue of Dirichlet problem for second order linear elliptic partial differential equations with  respect to the weak solution.

Abstract

Interaction between predator and prey can be represented as a system of non-linear differential equation which is difficult to be solved analytically. In this research, a predator-prey model with an addition of harvesting factor is discretized into a system of difference equation using non-standard finite difference scheme. The analysis result shows that the developed scheme has qualitative property which is consistent to the continuous system.

Abstract

Imbalanced data might cause some issues in problem definition level, algorithm level, and data level. Some of the methods have been developed to overcome this issue, one of state-of-the-art method is Easy Ensemble. Easy Ensemble was claimed can improve model performance to classify minority class, and overcome the deficiency of random under- sampling. In this paper we discussed the implementation of Easy Ensemble with Random Forest Classifiers to handle imbalance problem in credit scoring case. This combination method is implemented in two datasets which taken from data science competition website, finhacks.id and kaggle.com with class proportion within majority and minority is 70:30 and 94:6. The results showed that resampling with Easy Ensemble can improve Random Forest classifier performance upon minority class. Recall on minority class increased significantly after the resampling. Before resampling, the recall on minority class for the first dataset (finhacks.id) was 0.49, and increased to 0.82 after the resampling. Similar results were obtained for the second data set (kaggle.com), where the recall for the minority class was increased from just 0.14 to 0.73.

Abstract

When investors invest in their stock, the strategy used by an investor is to form an optimal portfolio of shares. An optimal stock portfolio can be created by utilizing the multi-objective optimization method, which can help investors achieve maximum return and minimum risk simultaneously. The multi-objective method has a weighting factor that acts as a risk indicator to assist investors in taking risks on the expected return. This study aims to optimize investors' profits and losses by forming an optimal stock portfolio using multi-objective and Value at Risk (VaR) measurements. The data used by the researcher is the weekly closing price of stocks which are always included in the LQ-45 stock index for the period 31 January 2019 – to 31 December 2020. The formed portfolio consists of three stocks, namely INCO.JK, MNCN.JK, and EXCL.JK. From the formed portfolio, the number of losses and profits obtained by investors can be seen based on the magnitude of the weighting coefficient k. Therefore, the greater the chance of profit (return), the greater the chance of loss (risk) that investors will receive.

Abstract

An integral Dunford and an operator on Dunford integrable functional space have discussed in this article. The results were shown that the Dunford integrable functional space was a linear function. For every Dunford integrable function on a closed interval, there is an operator that is linear bounded and weak compact operator, whereas its adjoin operator is also linear bounded and weak compact. An operator is weak compact if and only if its adjoin operator is weak compact. Furthermore, the norm of this operator was equal to the norm of its adjoin operator.
