Abstract

Snakehead and other fish species in waters of the swamp doing spawning at the beginning or in the middle of the rainy season. Gonadal maturation process so as to returntime is limited. Aquaculture development is highly dependent on the availability of seeds that meet the timeliness, quality and quantity. The seeds can be produced continuously if supported by the availability of mature broodstock with good quality eggs. Some research about the role of hormones and or the use of stimulants to the success in support of gonad development and spawning, such as; Siam Jambal fish, Pangasius hypophthalmus (Ernawati 1999), Catfish, Clarias batrachus (Zairin et al. 2001), and catfish, Hemibagrusnemurus (Supriyadi 2005). By because they were with potential to take advantage of folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) that serves as the control at the start of the reproductive cycle up to ovulation and spermiasi in fish. The aim of this study was to determine the effect ofthe injection folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) in the parent rematurisasi catfish. Results from the start 17007-52327 item, 0,63-1,07 mm egg diameter, IGS range of 4, 13 to8.50%, and ranged from 0.86 2.4% IHS. Based on the results of the study injection folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) capable shorten rematurasi processing time.

Abstract

The hatcheries operations of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L) in Community Hatchery Unit at Mentaos Village in North Banjarbaru, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province have pretty good opportunity for its development since the comsumption of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L) is increasing each year. The continous availability of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L ) seeds and the fish farmer’s experience have developed a lot as well as support from local government by providing capital for sustainable development of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L.)The research was done in Mentaos Village, North Banjarbaru District in Banjarbaru City of South Kalimantan Province. Primary and secondary data were gathered. The research conducted in order to analyse the prospect of goldfish seeding process in Community Hachery Unit (UPR) which include : (1) the profit, (2) BreakEven Point (BEP) analysis, (3) the feasibility of the business namely (R/C Ratio) and Payback Period (PP), (4) the analysis of market prospect and (5) marketing channels. The research show the profit achieved in the seeding gold fish (Cyprinus carpio, L) business in Mentaos Village is by average Rp.13.754.922,00/year, Break Even Point(BEP) by minimum selling price is Rp.86,94 per head and producing by minimum of 200.701 head year. Based on the feasibility of the business it is found that R/C Ratio of the fish hatchery operations in a single season production is 2,17(R/C>1), mean while Payback Period (PP) is 0,244 year or 2 month 29 days, the demand of goldfish (Cyprinuscarpio L) is bigger than the supply (D>S), it means the production still cannot fulfil the market demand and the marketing channels which allows the fish farmers to sell their product directly to the last consumer which become the most efficiency way.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to find out the difference of the amount of the catch (catch) obtained from the modification of plastics with bamboo Kabam. 2) to find out the effectiveness of both kabam better for use in catching fish seluang (Rasbora sp.). The methods used are Random Design Group with 2 treatments, namely treatments A: 10 units Kabam plastic and treatment B: 10 units Kabam bamboo. Of research results obtained in (1) the modification of the Kabam (Trap) that can distinguish the amount of the catch (catch) are obtained, (2) capture tool kabam bamboo can generate the average number offish and bigger fish weight compared with capture tool kabam plastic, so that it is more effective for the bamboos kabam catch fish seluang (Rasbora sp).

Abstract

There are problems happening in the marketing system of fresh catfish in Cindai Alus in which the profits received by merchants or middlemen are higher than retailers. The share or benefits received by fish farmers in Cindai Alus are higher than merchants and retailers. The data collected included primary data, i.e. data from the fish farmer the main source which obtained through a structured interview (with questionnaire), as well as secondary data obtained from various sources, such as the results from other research, literature study and information from related institutions relevant to the study. The results showed that the pattern of marketing channels of fresh catfish (Pangasius sp) from the farmers to the final consumers in Cindai Alus consists of 4 patterns and marketing participants consist of manufacturers, merchants from local orfrom other regions, and retailers. In addition, the share percentage received by the fish farmers are efficient by 87.26%, and the marketing system of fresh catfish in Cindai Alusis considered as imperfect competition structure or oligopsony in which the amount of sellers are bigger than the buyers.
