Abstract

The research has purpose to know the implementation of integration the international, national, and madrasah curriculum in MI Muslimat NU Pucang Sidoarjo. The policies carried out by the head of madrasah through preparation of RKM, fulfillment of eight SNPs, division of job discribtion, providing guidance to educators and education staff in conducting supervision that programmed well. The implementation of integrating of third curriculum carried out by adopting Mathematic, English and Science subjects from the Cambridge University international curriculum and adapting general subjects from the national curriculum 2018 revision of the Ministry of Education and Culture and religious subjects al- Qur'an Hadith, Aqidah akhlaq, Fiqh, SKI and Arabic madrasah curriculum from the Ministry of Religion through the development the forms of learning processing and classroom, Development of the PAIKEM learning model, self-development program and evaluation. The quality of graduates after the implementation of integration the international, national and madrasah curriculum in MI Muslimat NU Pucang Sidoarjo accepted in the favorite of SMP/MTS which are evidenced with the results of SKHUN, UN, UAMBD and Check Point. The result of the research show that integration of international, national, and madrasah curriculum has been running as it should,

Abstract

The aimed of this study to identify the error in writing descriptive text made by the tenth grade students of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo. The researcher utilizes quantitative research method. The population of this study is the tenth grade students of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo. The researcher uses total sampling as the sampling technique. The researcher takes 34 students of X TPM 2. The data instrument of this study is students’ test result. In this study, the researcher used 3 types of analyzed data based on Miles and Huberman theory. The researcher analyzed the errors made by the students use the theory of Corder (1973). The result showed that The tenth graders’ of SMK 1 Antartika Sidoarjo still made error in writing descriptive text in four kinds of error based on Corder (1973) theory, which are omission, addition, selection, and ordering. The students made error in omission 67 times or 30% of total error, 21 times or 10% made error in addition, 103 times or 47% made error in selection, and 30 times or 13% made error in ordering. The most error the students made is selection error. It means that the students still do not know how to use correct word that is appropriated with the context. The student still translate Indonesia into English directly without considering the context.

Abstract

Due to the expanding demand of exploration in linguistic studies, this research was specifically made in answering one of the fundamental question related with the discourse of societal status in domain of literary work. Upn such goal, this research aims to unveil the link between social class and the way a person speak through their variation of the language spoken in daily basis. Since this research addresses the use of language variation in literaty work, the required data were taken specifically from a movie entitled as Freedom Writers. The analysis utilizes textual analysis as the mean of interpretation and data processing, due to the fact this research is carried in qualitative manner. By following the theoretical framework of language variation from William Labov, researcher is finally able in unveiling the finding of this study. Concisely, it is showed that in most cases, language variation is heavily influenced by speaker.

Abstract

Islam regulates everything in human life, one of which is the problem of marriage. And today many of the Muslims will fail in fostering a sakinah family, and finally they separate. Whereas Islam does not like it all, because Islam teaches every Muslim how to choose a partner, so it does not cause damage in the household for those who follow the instructions in Islam. And therefore Muslims need sakinah family concepts to practice in their families everyday, so as not to confuse them in practicing them and make it easier for them to practice them. The type of research used is quantitative. The method of collecting data is obtained through review of books and video. While the analysis used is the opinion of Ustadz Abdul Somad About the Sakinah Family. Based on the results of the discussion in this paper that building a sakinah family must begin before marriage and after marriage. As for before marriage, he prepared religion and entered Islamic communities to indulge in immorality. As for after marriage, he maintains the feelings of his partner, so that growing love and affection between the two.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is an effect of compensation and work environment on motivation and its impact on employee performance at the Regional Disaster Management Agency in Sidoarjo Regency. The analytical tool used in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 126 employees of the Fire Department Regional Disaster Management Agency in Sidoarjo Regency with the result that compensation has a significant effect on the motivation of the Fire Department Regional Disaster Management Agency Sidoarjo Regency; the work environment has a significant effect on the motivation of the Fire Department Regional Disaster Management Agency Sidoarjo Regency; motivation has a significant effect on the performance of the Fire Department Regional Disaster Management Agency Sidoarjo Regency; compensation does not have a direct effect on employee performance through motivation and the work environment does not have a direct effect on the performance of the Fire Department Regional Disaster Management Agency Sidoarjo Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Information Technology Utilization and Knowledge Management on Employee Performance with Motivation as Intervening Variables in the Regional Government of Sidoarjo Regency. The analytical tool used in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 100 employees in 15 sub-districts in Sidoarjo regency with the results of the use of Information Technology has a significant effect on motivation; knowledge management has a significant effect on motivation; the utilization of Information Technology and knowledge management simultaneously have a significant effect on motivation; Information Technology utilization has a significant effect on employee performance; knowledge management has a significant effect on employee performance; motivation has a significant effect on employee performance and the use of Information Technology and knowledge management has a direct and significant effect on employee performance through motivation.

Abstract

Management of Islamic education institutions can be defined as a form of cooperation to carry out planning functions, organizing, preparation of personnel or staffing, direction and leadership, and supervision of the efforts of members of Islamic education institutions and the use of human, financial, physical and other resources by making Islam the foundation and guide in their operational practices to achieve the objectives of Islamic education institutions in various types and forms which essentially try to help someone or a group of students in instilling teachings and / or develop Islamic values. This study wanted to find out the management and defense owned by Islamic education institutions in managing Islamic education institutions. This study aims to determine the management and challenges of Islamic education institutions in the tahfiẓ al- Qur'an program in Ma’had Umar Bin Al-Khattab, Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya. This type of research is qualitative research, namely research that produces descriptive data, namely a type of research that seeks to present data and actual facts about the management of Islamic education institutions in the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program in Ma'had Umar Bin Al-Khattab University Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Data collection techniques used in this study were (1) interview (2) observation (3) documentation. For data analysis using descriptive techniques, the application is carried out in three activities, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results of this study indicate that first, planning in Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya carried out activities (1) developing a strategic plan, which included vision and mission, objectives, strategic programs, implementation strategies, monitoring and evaluation; (2) arranging the rules of the santri (3) compiling technical guidelines for the implementation of activities. Second, organizing in managing Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab, including (1) arranging the organizational structure and the map of the program's responsibility (2) preparing the tasks and positions of each personnel (3) structuring the program. Third, the mobilization in Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al- Khattab was said to be (1) motivating; (2) coordination; (3) leadership and (4) maintaining good relations with ustadh, santri and staff. Fourth, controlling in Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab is divided into (1) monitoring and evaluation (2) assessment. Fifth, the constraints of management of Islamic education institutions in the Islamic program in Ma'ad Umar Bin Al-Khattab consist of, (1) financial activities and operations in Ma'had Tahfiad Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya still rely on permanent donors; (2) makeshift facilities; (3) Inadequate human resources. The six obstacles faced in the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program are (1) the saturation and laziness felt by the santri in carrying out established programs; (2) guarding the memorization of the Qur'an that has been memorized (3) guarding themselves from immorality. From the results of this study it can be suggested (1) in improving the quality of Islamic education institutions, Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya should improve the quality of institutional management; (2) The Asia Muslim Charity Foundation (AMCF) should provide funds for operational and learning activities that exist in Ma’had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya; (3) The Asia Muslim Charity Foundation (AMCF) and the Muhammadiyah Union pay more attention to existing facilities in Ma’had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya. (4) the results of this study can be used as reference material in developing and implementing management of educational institutions, especially in Islamic education institutions that implement the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program; (5) the need for development research on the comparison of management of Islamic education institutions in the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program, especially the management of educational institutions in Ma’had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya.

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to discover and analyzethe appropriateness of English learning material for the students based on teachers’ lesson plan. This study used qualitative method, the subject and object in this research is the document which is consisted of teaching materials in lesson plan on the first semester of tenth grade that the teacher used for teaching the students multimedia major at SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo. The data was collected by analze teachers’ lesson plan and interview. The result of this study showed that most of indicators about the appropriateness of teaching material for English specific purposes were not fulfilled and most of teaching material that teacher used was English for general purposes by follows the syllabus from department education. Hopefully, teachers could create appropriate teacjing materials and develop teaching material which appropriate English specific purposes for the students
