Abstract

The unavailability of the library information system has posed a challenge for librarians in managing a library's inventory, which is susceptible to loss or damage. The objective of this research is to create a system that can assist librarians in managing the library at SMK Negeri 3 Solok Selatan. The research methodology used in designing this system utilizes the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a Waterfall model. It consists of five stages: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance. Field research processes were conducted through observation and interviews. The test results from the evaluation table of the developed library information system are excellent, with an average evaluation percentage of 91.47%. The criteria include functionality with a percentage of 94.44%, constraints with a rating of 91.67%, system usability with an evaluation of 91.86%, as well as efficiency (95.83%), maintenance (91.67%), and portability (91.47%). This information system may still require updates to its interface and existing information systems since, with the passage of time, new features may emerge to facilitate user access to the information system.

Abstract

This research intends to create a web-based mail data management information system at Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Provinsi Sumatera Barat which can facilitate archivists in managing correspondence so as to speed up correspondence processing, make it easier for archivists to find evidence of correspondence, can store, change, print correspondence data and reduce the accumulation of archives in the workspace in the Secretariat. This research method is carried out by collecting data through internships, observations and interviews. The method used in developing this system uses the SDLC concept. At the analysis stage, the system modeling uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a design tool. The implementation process is carried out using the MySQL database and the PHP programming language. The process of testing this system is carried out using the Black Box testing method. The results of the trial of the designed system have been in accordance with the needs expected by the agency. Abstract

The preparation and writing of the practicum lecture schedule in the Informatics Education computer laboratory has not been optimal. In addition, the laboratory loan process has not been efficient in terms of time, because lecturers and students have to contact and come directly to the laboratory. The purpose of this study was to design and test a laboratory scheduling information system for the informatics education study program at the University of PGRI, West Sumatra, using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method. This research resulted in an information system that can help labor technicians, lecturers, students and related stakeholders. The results of beta testing research on expert validation obtained an average validation of 87.4% with very good information and the user assessment questionnaire obtained an average value of 89.8% with very good information.

Abstract

The University of PGRI West Sumatra has wi-fi which does not rule out attacks on wi-fi networks carried out by hackers. Network Security is a protector in a network system in the process of preventing unauthorized and irresponsible network users. This research includes descriptive research. Descriptive research method is a research method that aims to explain an event. This research was conducted by testing and analyzing the test results on network security using Wireshark and Ettercap applications (Kali Linux OS). The results of this study in the form of a wi-fi network security system in building A1, building B1, building D1 at University of PGRI West Sumatra is good. During the scan for hosts, the IP of the laptop victim of the packet sniffing attack was not found.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an efficient internship management information system for the Informatics Education Program at University PGRI Sumatera Barat. Currently, the management of internship programs in the industry is still manual, time-consuming, and accessing old information is challenging due to paper-based files. The proposed information system will assist students and internship program administrators in managing industrial internships. It involves several users, such as administrators, students, internship supervisors, and industry mentors, each with limited access based on their respective roles. Students can fill out internship registration forms, request supervisors, and upload daily and final internship reports. Internship supervisors and industry mentors can validate students' logbooks and reports and provide final internship grades. Functional system requirements include login features and dashboards for each user. Access to the system is through computer devices using software like XAMPP, Visual Studio Code, and Chrome. The system is expected to enhance the efficiency of the internship program and provide valuable benefits for future internship management. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the waterfall model is employed as the method for system development, covering stages such as planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
