Abstract

Fish organic fertilizer has a high nutrient content for plants. Giving organic fish fertilizer to cabbage can increase the growth and production of cabbage. This study aims to determine the way and the right dose of organic fish fertilizer in cabbage plants. This research was conducted at Berastagi experimental farm which began in June - September 2018. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design factorial with 3 replications, where the first factor is the type of Fish organic fertilizer (I1. Dry and I2. Fermentation). The second factor is the dose of fish organic fertilizer (D0. 0, D1. 300 kg / ha, D2. 600 kg / ha, D3. 900 kg / ha and D4. 1200 kg / ha). The results showed that the fish organic fertilizer with types dried and fermented were not different significant in increasing the growth and production of cabbage plants. The dose of fish organic fertilizer can increase the growth and production of cabbage plants. Giving 1,200 kh / ha of fish fertilizer yields the highest diameter of crop, crop weight and production, ie 14.83 cm, 0.64 kg and 30.36 kg / 5 m2. There is no interaction between type and dose of fish organic fertilizer on the growth and production of cabbage plants.

Abstract

Carrots are horticultural plants that have high economic value opportunities because every year the demand for carrots both domestically and abroad needs to increase continuously, but not maximum productivity due to the provision of organic fertilizers that are not balanced with chemical fertilizers in the soil. The research objective was to obtain animal manure fertilizer with the best dosage of fertilizer for growth and yield of carrots as an alternative to mixing chicken manure. The study was carried out in the berastagi experimental garden in February to May 2018. The experiment was arranged based on a 2-factor complete randomized trial design namely: the first factor is the type of organic animal waste pesticides consisting of H0 = Control / without treatment, H1 = chicken manure, H2 = cow / cow dung, H3 = horse manure and H4 = goat manure. The second factor is the level / dose used, namely K0 = control, K1 = 500 g / 2 m2, K2 = 1000/2 m2 repeated 3 times. Carrot samples per plot of 200 tubers. The observed variables:) Percentage of living plants (60 days), 2) Number of Compound Leaves, 3) Plant Height, 4) Wet yield weight per plot (kg) and 5) Root tuber length (cm). The results showed that the administration of organic fertilizer from cow manure had a significant effect on all parameters, namely growth percentage, plant height, yield weight and root tuber length. The dose of animal manure organic fertilizer is ideal for growth and production of carrots, which is 500 gr / 2 m2.

Abstract

The research on effect of manures and biochemical RealStrong fertilizer had been done. The research was conducted at Aji BuharaVillage, Tigapanah Sub- district,Karo Regency,North Sumatra, February to April 2018.The proposed of the study was to see the effects of the fertilizers in growing and producing of Beta vulgaris. Random cluster block design with factorial classic was applied,factor 1; manures: P0: control, P1:chicken’s manures 1, 5 kg/plot, andP2:caw’s manures 1, 5 kg/plot. Factor 2, Biochemical RealStrong fertilizers: R0= control,R1 = 125gr/plot, R2 = 250gr/ plotandR3= 375gr/plot. Results of the study shown that the effect of P1 had given a highest growing i.e 33.88 cm and(R3)34.90 cm. Kinds and dosage of the fertilizers also influence of productions of the plant. The manure P1 had given production to 101.64 g/sampeland biochemical Realstrong R3given production of 3.20 kg/plot

Abstract

The research was carried out in the Tigapanah Village Farmers' field, Tigapanah Subdistrict, Karo Regency, from March to June 2016, where altitude was ± 1200 meters above sea level, Adosol land. The aim of the study was to determine the chicken manure dosage and the concentration of coconut water and its interaction with the growth and yield of Ercis plants (Pisumsativum L). Factorial Randomized Group Design (RBD) 4 levels, factor I: dose acquisition 1) without manure (control) 2) chicken manure 2) 200 g / plant, 3) 300 g / plant, 4) 400 g / plant (A0 , A1, A2, and A3). Factor II. Concentration of coconut water 4 level 1) 0 ml / plant, 2) 100 ml / plant, 3) 200 ml / plant, 4) 300 ml / plant (K0, K1, K2, K3). The results of the study showed that the effect of using chicken manure was significantly different (p ˃ 0.05) on the growth of plant height, number of branches, pods and weights of Ercis plants except that the age began to flower. Giving a dose of coconut water also gave a significantly different effect (p ˃ 0.05) on the growth of plant height, number of branches, production of pods and production weights except age began to flower. The interaction of doses of chicken manure and doses of coconut water did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters.

Abstract

In this study, there are several things that can describe the socio-economic conditions of farmers having differences in income, education, and health levels, among others: 1. The highest level of income is in Siosar Suka Meriah Village, because they receive government assistance in the form of land, funds , subsidized fertilizers, and seeds, while in Kuta Tengah Village Shelter the income is lower because the government only provides temporary shelter. The lack of capital also caused the lack of income and land to not allow farming because it was located on the slopes of Mount Sinabung. 2. The education level in Siosar Suka Meriah Village is lower, because after moving to relocation the distance to school is too far and some children do not want to continue their education. Whereas in Kuta Tengah Village Shelter their education is higher, because the distance to school is not too far away and most children also have the desire to go to school. 3. The health level in Siosar Suka Meriah Village and the level of health in the Kuta Tengah Village Shelter together use BPJS / KIS which is programmed by the government for the Mount Sinabung eruption refugee community.

Abstract

AbstrakPerubahan yang terjadi pada buah merupakan kerusakan buah yang disebabkan karena proses respirasi dan transpirasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi penambahan gliserol dalam edible coating yang dapat menekan kerusakan buah pisang barangan selama penyimpanan dan menentukan daya daya simpan untuk mempertahankan kualitas buah. Rancangan Acak Lengkap digunakan yaitu 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati persentase di antaranya susut bobot, vitamin C, dan total asam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lama penyimpanan dan konsentrasi gliserol dalam edible coating yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (p < 0.05) terhadap susut bobot, kandungan vitamin C, dan kadar total asam pada hari ke 9, 12 dan 15 dan  tidak berbeda nyata pada hari ke 3 dan  ke 6 (p > 0.05).AbstractThe fruit of pisang barangan (Musa acuminata L) is one of the short shelf life storing agriculture products. Physically changing of the fruits is a kind of fruit abolishes activated by the respiration and transpiration process. The effort to prevent the process can be the use of covering glycerol edible coating. The proposed of this study is to know the additional concentration of glycerol in an edible coating that prevents damages of the fruits along with storing and determining its storing capacity. The research was using complete design with 5 treatments and 4 duplications. The parameters observed were the percentage of rigorous, vitamin C, and acid total. Results of the study shown that the length of storing was significantly reducing the quality of the fruits and the glycerol concentration in edible coating has significantly impact (p < 0.05) to the grade of rigorous, vitamin C, and the acid total in day of 9th, 12th, and 15th; while in day of 3th and 6th shown likewise.

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang penting bagi masyarakat, baik secara ekonomis maupun kandungan gizinya. Produktivitas tanaman selain ditentukan oleh faktor lingkungan tumbuh juga dipengaruhi kemampuan varietas untuk beradaptasi pada lingkungan tumbuhnya. Penggunaan varietas beragam pada lingkungan tumbuh yang sama akan memberikan gambaran kemampuan adaptasi varietas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui daya adaptasi 10 varietas bawang merah di dataran tinggi basah., Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan Desember 2018 s/d Pebruari 2019 di kebun percobaan Berastagi, Kecamatan Dolat Rayat, Kabupaten Karo, dengan jenis tanah andisol, ketinggian ± 1340 m dpl, temperature suhu 22–28oC, kelembapan 80-90 % dan curah hujan 2.500 mm/tahun. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) nonfaktorial dengan 3 ulangan, dengan perlakuan varietas bawang merah yaitu Varietas Maja,  Birma, Pikatan, Manjung, Tajuk, Katumi, Mentes, Maserati), Pancasona dan Varitas Bauji. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Seluruh varietas dengan asal adaptasi yang berbeda ternyata mampu beradaptasi dengan baik di Berastagi dataran tinggi basah. Pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman  seragam  dan jumlah daun yang terbanyak adalah Birma. Berdasarkan nilai bobot kering dan produksi per hektar varietas Birma mampu berproduksi tinggi. Berbeda halnya dengan varietas Bauji dapat beradaptasi dengan baik akan tetapi tidak mampu membentuk umbi di dataran tinggi basah Berastagi.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengaruh teknik budidaya terhadap produksi tanaman kopi (Coffea spp. L.) masyarakat Karo telah dilaksanakan di Desa Tambak Bawang Kecamatan Dolok Silau dan Desa Suka Mbayak Kecamatan Tiga Panah Kabupaten Karo, selama 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sampling dan dilakukan wawancara terhadap 40 dari 67 petani kopi yang tersebar di dua desa tersebut. Data diolah menggunakan uji validitas, realibilitas, uji regresi, uji F, dan Uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 94.8% pengaruh faktor budidaya terhadap produksi tanaman kopi. Perbedaan penerapan teknik budidaya (perlakuan benih, pengolahan lahan, penanaman, naungan, pemeliharaan, dan pemanenan) yang dilakukan oleh petani kopi tradisional dan petani kopi modern sangat mempengaruhi hasil produksi kopi. Terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan teknik budidaya terhadap produksi tanaman kopi pada sistem tradisional dan modern. Petani modern yang menerapkan teknik budidaya yang baik memproduksi hingga 1757.5 kg/ha, sedangkan petani tradisional hanya memproduksi 520 kg/ha

Abstract

Analyze Productivity and farming watery rose apple (Syzygiumaqueum L.) in Namorambe district. The result of this research is to find out what the cost or coinage is used in the growing of watery rose apple, the large profit it gets, the attitude toward its farming and the analysis of factors that affect the profits of watery rose apple cultivation in Batu Penejemuran village. The plan used is using qualitative analyse by calculating and analyzing the y-ing data comes from the way interviews are told to honey watery rose apple farmer that total ten people who plant jambu air madu in Namo Rambe Deli Serdang regency. This reasearch has shown that thunder can be obtained at the larger scale of trafic, the lower production cost, total productivity and high market cost in the field when harvesting. The second year started to see a productivity of the can.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pengelompokkan Tarsius berdasarkan jumbai ekor. Pengukuran jumbai ekor Tarsius dilakukan pada sejumlah spesimen yang dikoleksi di Museum Zoologi Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia Cibinong-Bogor. Percobaan Metode Analisis Multivariasi dilakukan untuk menganalisis data tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumbai ekor dapat dipakai untuk mengelompokkan spesies Tarsius. Tarsius wilayah timur (Eastern Tarsier) dan Tarsius wilayah barat (Western Tarsier) dapat dengan mudah dikelompokkan menggunakan jumbai ekor dengan validitas silang (cross-validated) 100%. Di antar Tarsius wilayah timur, 100% dapat dikelompokkan berdasarkan pulau penyebarannya, tetapi validitas silangnya hanya 26.7%. Tarsius wilayah barat 88% dapat diklasifikasikan dengan tepat berdasarkan pulau penyebarannya, tetapi validitas silangnya hanya 5,9%.
