Abstract

This study is a Research and Development (R&D) which aims to develop bilingual physics module and determine the effectiveness of the use of the module in the learning process. The phase included preliminary study (define), program designing (design) and development (develop). There were two trials used to determine the effectiveness of the modules. The first is limited trial (pre-experimental) with design “one group pretest-posttest control design” and the second is the extensive trial (quasi-experimental) using “nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design”. The experiment was conducted SMAN 3 Jayapura for grade X, for limited trial uses only grade X1(33 student), while for extensive trial used two parallel classes i.e., grade X2 as experimental class (31 student) and grade X3 as control class (32 student). At the experimental class learning used the module and the control class learning did not use the module. N-gain analysis and t-test were used to know the effectiveness of the module use. N-gain at the experiment class is 0,72 while N-gain at control class is 0,47. The result shows that learning using the module is more effective than learning without using the module. Specialty of modules generated in this study have a complete and systematic structure, the discussion has focused coverage and scalable, have a sample in accordance to local approaches, and completely with a worksheet. In the implementation of the field still found weaknesses, those are lack of sample questions and a glossary of English for science. Keywords: development, module, and effectiveness.

Abstract

Pembangunan nasional di bidang pendidikan merupakan upaya meningkatkan kualitas manusia Indonesia. Dengan dikeluarkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 14 tahun 2005 tentang profesi guru mendorong penulis mengadakan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah persentase tingkat kesiapan guru kimia SMA di Pematangsiantar dalam menghadapi uji sertifikasi guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap guru-guru kimia di lima SMA di Pematangsiantar. Untuk instrument angket dilakukan proses uji coba angket dengan cara uji validitas angket yaitu distribusi responden, validitas isi, daya beda butir pernyataan: setelah diperoleh item yang valid kemudian dilakukan reliabilitas dengan harga r adalah 0,965. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesiapan guru kimia SMA di Pematangsiantar dari segi komponen persepsi guru kimia terhadap uji sertifikasi guru berada pada tingkat siap 51,97%; komponen pemahaman guru kimia terhadap prosedur pelaksanaan uji sertifikasi guru berada pada tingkat siap 54,09%; komponen pemahaman guru kimia terhadap UU no.14 tahun 2005 tentang guru dan dosen berada pada tingkat siap 46%; komponen pemahaman guru kimia terhadap peraturan pemerintah no.19 tahun 2005 tentang standar nasional pendidikan berada pada tingkat siap 52,36%; komponen pemahaman guru tentang komponen yang ada dalam uji sertifikasi berada pada tingkat siap 41,30%. Dengan melihat tingkat kesiapan guru kimia SMA di Pematangsiantar dalam menghadapi uji sertifikasi guru, maka seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam bidang pendidikan khususnya guru perlu lebih memahami kembali semua komponen yang ada dalam uji sertifikasi guru demi kemajuan mutu dan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia sebagai tujuan dari semua program dan kebijakan yang dikeluarkan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia.Kata kunci: Sertifikasi Guru, Komponen Pedagogik, Komponen Kepribadian, Komponen Profesionalisme, Komponen Sosial.

Abstract

Abstract Research has been carried out of the title “Headmaster leadership, the work motivation and the work discipline for the work result by MIPA teacher of Junior High School in Mamberamo Tengah Regency”. This research aims for test and analyze the influence the principal leadership, work motivation and work discipline for the work result by MIPA teacher of Junior High School in Mamberamo Tengah regency. Method used in this study is descriptive analysis methods, the data collection was conducted through quessionaires and implemented for 15 people (5 Headmasters of Junior High School and 10 Teachers of MIPA og Junior High School) in Mamberamo Tengah Regency. Data analysis in this study using the helpof SPSS version 16. Sampling technique was used and the method of testing techniques census data that in used in this study include test validity and rehabilitation, the classic assumption test and multiple linearregression analysis. The analyze result of Headmaster’s leadership of data preparation result included very goog category. The statistic calculation result indicate that value of t arithmetic = 3,045 with using significant limit 0,001 more trivial than 0,05, it means that the Headmater’s leadership has influence for the MIPA teahcer in Junior High School in Mamberamo Tengah regency. The work motivation that included intrinsic and extrinsic motivation approriate with data preparation result included good category. The statistic calculation result indicate that value of t arithmetic = 1,358 with using significant limit 0,202 more big than 0,05, it means that the work motivation doesn’t has influence for the MIPA teacher of Junior High School in Mamberamo Tengah regency. The work discipline that include accuracy of time, the realization in work and discipline for the result approriate with the result of data preparation include good category. The statistic calcultion result indicate that value of t arithmetic = 2,578 with using significant limit 0,026 more trivial than 0,05, it means that work discipline has influence for the work result of MIPA teacher of Junior High School in Mamberamo Tengah regency. The work result of MIPA teacher of Junior High School in Mamberamo Tengah regency that include educate, teach, lead to aim, train, appraise and evaluate appropriate with the data preparation include good cateogry. The statistic calculation result indicate that value of t arithmetic = 10,187, with using significant limit 0,002 more trivial than 1,05. According to variable simultaneous the leadership of headmaster, work motivation and work discpline have influence for the teacher’s work result.Keywords : Leadership, Motivation, Work Discipline, Teacher’s Work Result

Abstract

This research aim to look at: (1) the differences of study motivation between students in class that process learning use type Jigsaw and student in class that use type STAD, (2) the differences study result of hydrocarbon between students in class that process learning use  type  Jigsaw and student in class that use type STAD, (3) increase of study resulton class control and class experiment.The population in the research were students on class X SMA Kristeb Wamena, total 108 students, and sample were (1) students on class XC as expreriment class that process learning used type Jigsaw, (2) students on class XB as control that used type STAD. Design of research was Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design. The technique of data analysis used the different test (t-test) with software SPSS 16.The result showed that: (1) there was difference of study motivation between syudents on class  that process learning used type Jigsaw and on class XB as control that used type STAD with significance score t 0,01 < 0,05, (2) there was difference result stuidy between students on class that process learning used type Jigsaw and on class XB as cobtrol that used type STAD with significance score t 0,000 < 0,05 (3) there was increase of chemistry result study on class experiment and class control. Keywords : Jigsaw, STAD, Motivation, Result Study, Hydrocarbon
