Abstract

Bbc.com noted that in the last 40 years in Indonesia, there were 4 major cases including Lia Eden, Arswendo, HB Jassin and Teguh Santosa. Melissa Crouch noted that at least 120 people were tried for harassing religion. However, I underline that the issue of blasphemy arises recently because it began with a case of Ahok in Kepulauan Seribu. After that case, the case of blasphemy emerged like a domino effect, leaving questions in my mind, ‘why can it be like this?'. In this study, I will try to examine how the contestation of cases of blasphemy in Indonesia is so intertwined. By using descriptive and interpretative analysis methods, I found that the polemic of the emergence of blasphemy cases in Indonesia is motivated by two things; the interpretation of certain authorities who consider that in the Koran there is a set of positive punishment for blasphemy cases. Furthermore, the Blasphemy Law in Indonesia is very biased in determining certain individuals / groups as religious opponents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the distortion of semiotics as a theory of lie in the reinterpretation of the Qur'anic Studies. In Umberto Eco's view, semiotics is a discipline that studies everything that can be used to lie. That is, between what is said or written in a semiotic study doesn't match with reality. There is an asymmetric relationship between signs and reality. There is a deep gulf between a sign and referent. The concept, content, or meaning of what is spoken or written does not fit the reality described. In the interpretation of the text of the Qur'an takes a synchronic approach to know the historic meaning so the meaning of the Qur'an can be understood contextually. The actualization of semiotics as an interpretation approach of the Qur'an only touches the outside of the verses of the Qur'an textually and denies the historical meaning. So the role of semiotics in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an textually needs to be reviewed. This method of this research using descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate the representation of signs in the Qur'an using the semiotics approach reap a lie based on the principles of change and transformation, imanention, language games, and simulation.

Abstract

Heuristic and hermeneutic is the theoretical framework of Michael Rifatere’s analysis which is usedto criticize and explore the meaning of literature. In its relationship with Q.S analysis. al-Quran, itis intended to examine the meaning of the text itself, from before only interpreted at the heuristicstage and then developed analyzed using hermeneutic meaning. In the process of development, themeaning of the Koran text, especially Q.S. A<li-Imran (3): 14 will give birth to various dynamics of themeaning behind the verse until how the meaning of the verse speaks with koledor maqasid ayat. Thisresearch was felt important because in previous studies it was still rarely found which discussed theheuristic and hermeneutic analysis of Michael Riffatre to analyze the verses of the Koran, especiallyQS. ali-Imron: 14. Because in general previous writings only focused on the analysis of literary workssuch as poetry (Faruk, 1996), love poems (Mirantin, 2018) and other literary works such as poetry(Arfan, 2013), (Muchti , tt), (Syafeti, tt) and extracting meaning in various other literary worksincluding mantra (Uniawati, 2017)

Abstract

The semiology theory constructed by Roland Barthes has two stages. The first stage is called the linguistic system, while the second stage is called a mythological system. In this paper, the author tries to apply the theory to understand the concept of polygamy in the Qur'an. The result of the application of the theory in Q.S An-Nisa verse 3 is the linguistic system in the word matsna, wa tsulasa, wa ruba 'means not only the number but also means a limit of polygamy permissible. While the mythological system is allowed polygamy but it is more recommended for monogamy. The ideology contained in the verse is the ideology of feminism.

Abstract

Islam springing of the Qur'an is understood as an ideology that gives birth to behavior in the social tradition of society. Likewise the meaning of giving birth exegesis (social interpretation). understanding and meaning of the Qur'an is called "Living Qur'an". The study of the living of the Qur'an, the author examines the tradition of the Al-Qur'an reception in the community of Gemawang Sinduadi Mlati Sleman Yogyakarta. There are 3 traditional traditions of the Al-Qur'an reception, namely the tradition of exegesis receptions, aesthetic receptions and functional receptions. The typology of the study was used to observe the Qur'anic reception tradition in Gemawang Sinduadi Mlati hamlet, Sleman, Yogyakarta. What needs to be revealed from this research is about the motivation and purpose of each Qur'anic reception which is used as the basis for understanding and interpreting daily life. This research is qualitative, in the form of library studies and field studies at the same time. The author uses phenomenological analysis and content. The results obtained there are 2, namely the outer structure surface structure indicates that the community is a society that is calm in its heart and behavior (religious behavior). While the Deep Structure element or structure in the indication is a message of close relations between fellow humans who do not see race, ethnicity, religion or ethnicity.

Abstract

This paper aims to see how the phenomenon of mistakenly written of the Qur'an in the Muslim world took place. Realized or not, some Muslims are often wrong in writing verses of the Qur'an even though he memorized it. Based on historical analysis, this phenomenon is very likely to occur. The phenomenon of mistakenly written of the Qur'an was formed because of the dominance of transmitting the Qur'an orally, not writing. This transmission has been carried out since the time of the Prophet until now. Although the Qur'an is already in the tradition of writing, but true writing tradition is only to strengthen the allegiance of the Qur'an. Then how much public awareness of oral and written traditions also influenced him. For those who have only consciousness, written oral misconduct is commonplace. However, for those who have written consciousness, mis-writing is taboo. In the Muslim community itself the written consciousness has not yet dominated in its society in full.

Abstract

This research discusses about nushuz of wife and the husbands right to threat the nushuz of his wife. This focuses on Laleh Bakhtiars Perspektif on violence against women in the Quran surah 4:34. The word wadhribuhunna in the surah does not only mean to hit but there are a lot of meanings of it, however, her interpretation of Qur'an got several critics. This surah can be interpreted upon the perspective on social and fenimism context in the relation between husband and wife in Indonesia and how its defferent in the Islamic Country. This is a literate study that will employ a library research methodology as well to examine and analyze the Islam position in general on the surah vis a vis women beating practises conducted by the husband based on the surah. This can be considered as a hard evidence of how the Quran should not be interpreted in a physical context alone but rather in contextual perspective.

Abstract

The article tries to elaborate the linguistic interpretation of the Qur'an in the Ma'anil Qur'an written by al-Farra'. The book is considered as the first codified book of qur'anic interpretation. By using historical approach and critical-analitical method, the writer concludes that the book Ma'anil Qur'an is one of quranic interpretation colored by linguistic perspective, because al-Farra', as a writer, was well known as linguist from Kufa, aspecially in arabic grammar (Nahwu) after al-Kisai. Al-Farra' did not only interprete quranic verses to disclose the hidden meanings, but also made the interpretation of the Qur'an (tafsir) to justify and support the theory of Kufah's Nahwu.
