Abstract

This research presents a short film entitled "Cindhe" based on the sign system in the discipline of Structural Semiotics. This research discusses the sign aspect using Ferdinand de Saussure's theory. In the important minutes of the scene, an analysis of this short film work will be presented based on the signs of Structuralism Semiotics. Based on the analysis, simultaneously with the interpretation of the aspects and each scene analyzed. This research uses the structuralism semiotics analysis method by correlating several signs in it, so that it can show a picture that has a meaning of everyday life that has a good impact in the future if taken on the positive side.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the use of language style in a Javanese song entitled Widodari by Denny Caknan 2) Describe the meaning expressed in the Widodari song by Denny Caknan. Denny Setiawan or Denny Caknan is considered successful in inspiring the millennial generation to be culturally literate through their musical works with regional nuances. Denny became known to the public when his song, entitled Kartonyono Medhot Janji, went viral in 2019. In early 2021 Denny released a new song entitled Widodari with Guyon Waton. This song was created due to the breakup of Denny Caknan's relationship with Happy Asmara who is often referred to as his ex-lover, now the song has been uploaded on the YouTube channel and has been watched more than 30 million times. According to Denny Caknan and Guyon Waton, the language used in the Widodari song is almost extinct among Javanese today, so that today's generation of children recognize the Widodari language again. Widodari in Indonesian means Bidadari this song talks about someone who is in love after seeing or meeting a woman who he believes can heal his heart that was once hurt. The study used is Stylistics which focuses on the use of assonance, alliteration, repetition, and simploke language styles, and meanings in a Widodari song. The method used is descriptive analysis. Research data in the form of words, sentences, and quotes in the song. The source of this research comes from recordings in the form of MP3 from the results of downloading on the internet to search for songs created by Denny Caknan. Then draw conclusions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of diction and its function in the lyrics of the song Ngilmu Pring by the Jogja Hiphop Foundation. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research data are in the form of phrases, words, and sentences in the lyrics of the song Ngilmu Pring by the Jogja Hiphop Foundation. Data collection techniques used in this study used inventory, read-listening, and recording techniques.

Abstract

Bawa as a one of literary song like a sindhenan, janturan, gerongan, and palaran. Firstly, bawa song used in Javanese traditional or karawitan music, but since 1970th bawa song start to used in another genre, such as campursari. This research aimed to describe and analyse the meaning and function of bawa song in campursari. Sample on this research taken from bawa song with dandanggula poetic meter, that is bawa of kanca tani song. Data collected technique using record-note and in-depth interview with some informant. Data analysis of this research using qualitative-interactive with the phase are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Result of this research find that bawa on campursari song have function as intro before song sing in. Therefore, bawa also represented the meaning and message of the campursari song. So, the lyric of bawa song have suitability with content of campursari song. Bawa song in this era also have attract power on campursari fans, because there are some dialogues between bawa singer with other singer, MC, or some audience which contain sense of joke inside.

Abstract

Conflict is a disagreement or difference between two people or groups. Conflict is a part of social life, social conflict is also motivated by differences of opinion brought by individuals in an interaction. Everyone has different characteristics, characteristics and ways of thinking. The existence of differences can make it difficult for people to accommodate themselves, so it can easily trigger some things that lead to conflict. The interests of an individual or group also sometimes clash. Thus, this will lead to conflict between them as well. As in this analysis, this study examines the song popularized by Denny Caknan, namely "Satru 2". With the title song "Satru" which means enemy, but this is not an enemy in ordinary conflicts because the enemy in this case involves a love or romance relationship. In addition, in every lyric and throughout the song, there are misunderstandings between two parties, from small problems to big ones and causing conflict in a relationship. This study uses a qualitative method because the source of the data obtained is obtained on an online website and observations of the behavior of a community. From the results of this study, it is hoped that it will be able to open the public's view that a success in a relationship needs to have equality of opinion so as not to cause social conflict.

Abstract

This research describes the form of inner conflict in the song lyrics by Yonanda Ndx. The type of research used in this research is the type of research in psychology and literature studies. The source of data in this research is the song lyrics in the work of Yonanda Ndx. This theory is used to explain how someone is depicted in a dangdut song. From the analysis, it is found that the inner conflict of a person who is suffering because of the abandonment of his marriage by his lover.

Abstract

The lyrics of this song are the lyrics of a dangdut song sung by Denny Caknan in Javanese. The interesting thing to study further is the use of diction and the theme using stylistics, namely by looking at the style of language used. The purpose of this study was to analyze the stylistics contained in the lyrics of the song "Kartonyono Medot Promise" Denny Caknan. The study of stylistics is directed to discuss the content of literary works. In general, regulating stylistic studies includes diction or word choice (lexical choice), sentence structure, figure of speech, partnership, rhyme patterns, and dimensions used for authors or available in literary works. This study aims to analyze the use of diction and themes contained in the lyrics of the song Kartonyono Medot Promise sung by Denny Caknan. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method because the object is the text of the Song Lyrics. The data taken is the lyrics of a song by Denny Caknan entitled Kartuyono Medot Promise. Like the style chosen by the author, stylistic theory is used, that is, it does not see aesthetics in song lyrics. As the end of this method is the result of data analysis presentation. The presentation of the results of the data analysis begins with the presentation of the diction on the data source contained in the lyrics of the song Denny Caknan. Then proceed with an explanation of the theme of the lyrics. The results of the research found are diction and theme in the song Kartonyono medot promises, which was popularized by Denny Caknan.
