Social Landscape Journal (SLJ) adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Makassar. SLJ menyediakan akses terbuka dengan prinsip bahwa hasil penelitian yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal ini tersedia secara bebas untuk umum untuk mendukung pertukaran pengetahuan secara global. SLJ menerbitkan artikel tiga kali per tahun yaitu Maret, Juli dan November. SLJ menyediakan tempat bagi akademisi, peneliti, dan praktisi untuk menerbitkan artikel ilmiah. Setiap teks yang dikirim ke editor SLJ ditinjau oleh peer review. Semua manuskrip yang dikirim ke editor SLJ diterima dalam bahasa Indonesia atau Inggris. Ruang lingkup artikel yang tercantum dalam jurnal ini berkaitan dengan berbagai topik, termasuk: pendidikan ilmu sosial, geografi, Sosiologi, sejarah, ekonomi, dan sistem informasi Geografi. Abstract

The research was carried out aimed at improving learning outcomes through the application of the Problem based Learning learning model in sosial studies subjects at SMP Negeri 8 Tanjungpinang. Based on the results of previous observations, learning is still teacher-centered, the lack of activeness of students in learning so that it has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students in sosial studies subjects. The subjects of this study were class VII students, totaling 16 people. This study uses a Problem Based Learning learning model, by orienting students to contextual problems to analyzing and evaluating problem solving activities, thereby increasing student activity in sosial studies learning, having an impact on increasing the average value of student learning outcomes with an average score. class average is 75.65 and the percentage of completeness is 87.5%. The data collection instruments used were test instruments and observation sheets. The results of the study indicate that the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes in sosial studies learning at SMP Negeri 8 Tanjungpinang.

Abstract

Social Sciences learning in junior high school has not been able to develop critical thinking skills, various problems in learning are considered as a boring subject so as less stimulate learners to think critically and less able to solve problems. This study aims to determine the effect of PBL on critical thinking skills in the field of social sciences study. The orientation of the problem to be raised relates to the material of the socio-cultural change. The research was conducted with a quasi-experimental design. Data analysis using t test. The subjects of the study were students of class IX IPS in MTs Nurush Sholihin - Magetan. The resulting significance value is 0.00. The results showed that PBL can make the learning of social sciences effective and efficient, so that the students' critical thinking skills increase.

Abstract

This research is tofind out the application of problem based learning to the learning outcomes of students in grade 8 MTs Negeri Singkawang. This study is a classroom action research type of classroom action research. Data collection techniques using research instruments, namely observation, interviews, tests and documentation. This study produced data on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects in the 8th grade of MTs Negeri SIngkawang before being applied to PTK only achieving completeness 35,71% with an average value of 61,42. Students who reach the KKM standard are only 5 students while those that have not reached as many as 9 students. In the first cycle, student reached the minimum standard were 6 students, while those that had not reached the minimum standard scorewere 8 students with an average score of 63,57 with learning completeness of 42,85%. Whereas in the second cycle, the number of students who reached the minimum standard score were 12 students and students who had not reached the minimum standard score standard were 2 students with an average score of 84,28 and the level of completeness was 85,71%. Then it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the application of the problem based learning model to student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The low learning motivation of students in learning Social Sciences requires teachers to continue to maximize the application of learning models and methods. This study aims to increase the motivation and learning outcomes of students of State Junior High School 34 Tebo Regency class VIII A by applying the Problem Based Learning learning model in the Odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research design used is a classroom action research design. Collecting data using learning outcomes tests and observations. From the data collected and obtained the average score of learning outcomes of Social Science lessons in cycle 1 is 71,28 and the average result in cycle II is 76,12. Abstract

This study aims to disclose information and discuss the Efforts to Improve Student Social Studies Learning Outcomes through Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Models at SMP Negeri 2 Lubuk Alung. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Lubuk Alung Jln. Tapian Puti No. 15 Lubuk Alung, Padang Pariaman Regency. The subjects of this study were students of class VII.1 of SMP Negeri 2 Lubuk Alung, Padang Pariaman Regency, totaling 32 people. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research procedure consisted of two cycles with each cycle having two meetings. Each cycle consists of four stages of research, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection in this study was carried out using field notes, student worksheets, written tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has a positive impact on improving students' social studies learning outcomes. This can be seen from students' understanding and mastery of the material that has been delivered by the teacher so far (mastery learning increased from Pre-cycle, Cycle I and Cycle II, which were 19%, 37% and 81%.
