Abstract

This study aimed to determine  the process of cultivation and silkworm silk yarn production in the Exploitation of Natural Silk (PSA) Pati Regaloh. The basic method  of research used  is descriptive method. Determining the  location of  the research conducted (purposive), the Concession Alam Sutera (PSA) Regaloh. The results  obtained are  Regaloh  PSA  has implemented a  system of  partnerships between employers and  the surrounding  farming community  through  the core system and plasma. Technically maintenance silkworms can be divided  into two, namely  the maintenance  of mulberry  plantation  and  silkworm  breeding.  The species  planted mulberry  is Morus multicaulis Regaloh  PSA, Morus  cathayana, Morus nigra, Morus alba and mulberry mixed types. Mulberry plant maintenance includes  fertilizing, pendangiran  (weeding),  and  trimming. Maintenance  consists of maintenance silkworm caterpillars are small and  large caterpillars. Harvesting is done after the silkworm cocoon mengokon for 6-7 days in the maintenance brak brak-large  caterpillar.  The processing of  cocoons  into  silk yarn  is divided  into several stages, namely boiling, reeling, rereeling, pressing and packing.   Keywords: cultivation of silkworms, silk yarn, partnership, PSA Regaloh

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out about profits, incomes, and feasibility of goats  in Lubangsampang village, Pituruh sub-district in Purworejo regency. The research was conducted from March until April in 2008. The location and 26 respondents are the which were taken by the purposive sampling method. The analysis method consists of  income analysis and feasibility analysis.  This research shown that the income of respondents was around Rp. 2.888.000,  and feasibility analysis (R/C) was around 1.03. The research can be concluded that the goat farm  in Lubangsampang  village, Pituruh sub-district in Purworejo regency is feasible to conducting. Keywords: Goat, Income, Feasibility.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out about: (1) the identification of the agricultural basis  sector and subsector among some sub districts in Purworejo regency; (2) the changes of the specialization/ the sector and subsector of agricultural base among some sub districts in Purworejo regency. This research uses a descriptive analytical method. The data used is some data from Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB in Indonesia) in the level of sub districts and also regency in Purworejo around the year 2000 – 2009 based on the fixed price in the year 2000. The result of this research shows that agriculture is the basic sector of 12 sub districts (75.00%); the crops subsector is the basic subsector  in 10 sub districts (62.00%); the plantation crops subsector is the basic subsector in 9 sub districts (56.25%); the livestock sector is the basic subsector in 6 districts ( 37.50%); the forestry sector is the basic subsector in 7 sub districts (43.75%); and fisheries sector is the basic subsector in 5 sub districts (31.25%). Agricultural sector with the LQ trend falls in 6 sub districts (37.50%), the crops subsector with the LQ trend falls in 6 sub districts (37.50%); the plantation crops subsector with the LQ trend falls in 8 sub districts (50.00%); the livestock subsector with the LQ trend falls in 9 sub districts (56.25%); the forestry subsector with the LQ trend falls in 10 sub districts (62.50%); and the fisheries subsector with the LQ trend falls in 7 sub districts (43.75%). Based on the analysis of DLQ, agricultural sector can still be expected to be the basic sector in the future among 10 sub districts (62.50%), the crops subsector is in 8 sub districts (50.00%), the plantation crops and livestock subsectors are in 7 sub districts (43.75%), the forestry subsector is in 3 sub districts (18.75%), and the fisheries subsector is in 5 sub districts (31.25%). A combined analysis of LQ, DLQ and the LQ trend shows that the agriculture is still the basic sector of 10 sub districts in the future (62.50%), the crops subsector is in 8 sub districts (50.00%), the plantation crops subsector is in 7 sub districts (43.75%), the livestock subsector is in 8 sub districts (50.00%), the forestry subsector is in 3 sub districts (18.75%), and the fisheries subsector is in 5 sub districts (31.25%). Abstract

Proses pengolahan yang baik dan benar dapat membuat ikan menjadi awet dan memungkinkan untuk didistribusikan antar daerah. Pengasapan danpemanggangan merupakan salah satu proses pengolahan ikan secara tradisional.Pengolahan tradisional masih mempunyai prospek untuk dikembangkan sebagaialternatif memeratakan distribusi antar daerah penghasil dengan daerahkonsumen. Hasil uji kesukaan menunjukkan jika hasil olahan pengasapan lebihdisukai daripada hasil olahan pemanggangan.Kata Kunci : Pengawetan, Pengasapan, Pemanggangan

Abstract

Banyumas Regency is one of the regency in Central Java that produce coconut. Based on the data from Department of Forestry and Agriculture Banyumas Regency showed that the amount of coconut production in the last 2008 were 12,597.74 tons. It showed that Banyumas has  enough potential in developing the coconut commodity.  Recently, the waste of coconut in Banyumas Regency is not used effectively, for example coconut shell is only being used as charcoal for fish, satay and rubbering. Moreover, coconut shell still can be used as useful product, example Coconut Shell Charcoal. The objective of this research were explain the pattern and consistence of world market offer of coconut shell charcoal in Banyumas Regency, to analyze the feasibility export and the ability of entrepreneur to produce the of coconut shell charcoal in the village small industry in Banyumas Regency, and to find out the complete procedure in export matter.   Research method used was survey method. Research was conducted on March until April 2009. Data collection was conducted by using the primary data example interview, observation, and secondary data from Department of Forestry and Agriculture of Banyumas Regency, literature and internet business gallery Alibaba.com. Data analysis were using descriptive analysis, feasibility analysis of export as finansial, analysis of importir price offer and sensitivity analysis. The result of analysis showed that Banyumas Regency has potency to produce 120,000 kg Coconut shell charcoal every month.  That amoun showed Banyumas Regency could export around 5 containers and continuously. The demand trend happened in export opportunity of Coconut shell charcoal was fix demand, because during six months there was demand for the similar product in site business gallery Alibaba.com. Coconut shell charcoal in Banyumas Regency was feasible to be exported because the price from importer was US$200 per ton  (Rp2,200,00 per kg) it is still higher compared  with entire cost from Free on Board (FOB) and  higher from the price offered by exporter was Rp.2,000.00 per kg for 5 container delivery, so from the price of offering export was feasible to be followed up. The appropriate procedure of payment to conduct the international trade was by using the system of Letter of Credit (L/C). L/C that was requested by the exporter is L/C which has the certainty level of payment that was Irrevocable L/C because this L/C has certain agreement. Abstract

Milkfish (Chanos Chanos Forsskal) is a popular food fish in Southeast Asia, milkfish has a long body, slender, solid, flat, and oval, like a torpedo. Fish, including fish species eurihalin, so the fish can be found in freshwater, brackish water and seawater. During the period of its development, like the fish live in brackish water or river estuaries, as an adult fish return to sea to breed. This study aims to determine the fish farming techniques  in  Demak  Regency, know the techniques of treatment ponds are often exposed to rob or sinking tide, knowing the post-harvest fish handling and marketing. This research was conducted by following the direct method of milkfish aquaculture activities in Demak Regency, also conducted interviews with the farmers to dig deeper. For purposes of comparison and complementary in solving the problem, obtained from literature searches. Fish cultivation in Demak Regency generally still done traditionally by simply relying on the natural course of feeding so that optimal results are not yet able to make ends meet, so that fish farming is just as a sideline only. To cope with the condition of ponds are often exposed to rob the farmers put up during a waring to rob the fish do not escape into the sea. Need for intensive counseling to farmers to enable them to manage better the fish ponds that provide a more optimal for dijadika source of livelihood for them. Abstract

The study was conducted at Indonesian Vegetable Research Institute in March to December  2009 with an  altitude of  1250 masl.  The  objective of study was  to determine the  effectiveness of  EMS  in  producing  carrots male  sterile.  The experiment was arranged in Complitely  Randomized  Block  Design  with  two factors  and three replication.  The results indicate  that the  local  carrot  cultivars have the survival to maturity better than hybrid varieties. The highest percentage of  living  plants  showed  by  carrot  cultivar  origin  Cipanas  (73.21%).  The percentage of live plants is affected by the EMS treatment only until the age of 60 HST.  Increased concentrations of EMS  resulted in  decreased  percentage of  live plants.  Increased concentrations of  EMS  also  tends to  reduce the weight of thousand grains carrot seed produced from the M1 generation. Visual appearance of  pollen  on  all  EMS  treated  the same as the  control, that is  pithy  and  bright yellow. Treatment of  various EMS  concentrations level  provided  the individual has not been effective in producing carrots male sterile. Key words: carrot, male sterile, EMS.

Abstract

SLPTT (Sekolah Lapangan Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu) is farmer schools with the all activities are in the field, farmers are the owner of the field . By learn on theirs own fields, hopes farmers can figure out theirs problems on theirs farming business also they can solve the problems together. The aim of this research are : (a) to studies farmers responses about SLPTT, (b) to recognize affecting factors about farmer’s responses towards SLPTT activities and (c) to understands affecting applications of cultivation suitable as recommend of SLPTT rice productions improvement.  The research had been held on 2009, in Ajibarang subdistrict, Banyumas district, Central Java province with the samples are farmer who join with SLPTT on 2008/2009 and their main cultivation is rice. The analytic description methode had used in this research as the basic methode, while the stratified random sampling methode had used as a sampling methode with  60  farmers. Some data analysis in this research includes : proportion test for 1st hypothesis, double linear regression analytic for 2nd hypothesis, and simple linear regression for 3rd hypothesis. In this reaserch the final result  which is used propotional analysis proved a little bit of the farmers (>50%) in Ajibarang subdistrict has  good responses about SLPTT activities. The doubled linear regression analysis showed that educations level, being active in farmers group and their  frequency to joined the elucidation influenced the farmer’s responses. Ages, field wide and status from their field have no influenced. And with simple linear regression showed that cultivation applications have no influenced with the rice productions.
