Abstract

Palm sap is a sweet liquid obtained from the sugar palm plant (Arenga pinnata MEER) by cutting the flower stalk. Generally, palm sap is widely used for the manufacture of brown sugar, fresh drink of palm sap (saguer), vinegar and alcoholic beverages. The potential for palm trees, which are 3 million trees spread throughout North Sumatra. The model planned for the manufacture of this distillation is water distillation, where the collected palm juice is placed in a container that is in direct contact with heating water and then the juice vapor is passed through a pipe connected to it. then condensed through a condenser and the results are accommodated through an alcohol container. A total of 5 liters of palm sap raw material has been mixed with coconut shell charcoal and lime in a ratio of 3: 1 (a good ratio is recommended 150 and 50 grams) is inserted into the heating tank which flows through the top hole by opening the cover, accompanied by filling the water in the heating tank. This water bath can function as a heat regulator, equipped with a thermometer above the water surface so that the temperature of the distillate coming out of the condenser can be known. (7) The result of the distillation process of palm sap with the addition of coconut-lime shell charcoal exceeds the alcohol content of the disinfectant (62%) which has a higher economy. (10) The efficiency of distalization is 82%. equipped with a thermometer above the water surface so that the temperature of the distillate coming out of the condenser can be known. Abstract

Gold Coin Indonesia is one of the companies engaged in the processing of poultry feed, namely chicken, duck, quail, pig feed and fish feed. The products produced by this company consist of several types including crumble, layer, pellet and concentrate. The main problem discussed in this study is that there are still 201 C animal feed products (broiler starter) produced that do not meet the quality standard specifications set by the company, so concrete steps need to be taken so that the resulting quality can be achieved. The step taken is the process capability technique to see how far the process capability in producing the product is in accordance with the desired specifications. The data used in this study were the percentage of protein content, fat content, water content, ash content, calcium content and phosphorus content of animal feed products 201 C (broiler starter) to determine process capability by looking at the Cp and Cpk values. Based on the results of research conducted using process control techniques with control charts obtained control limits for each characteristic and the presence of data outside the control limits caused by general and special variations. Process Capability (Cp) has a value of less than 1 (Cp < 1) which means that the process is not good enough to meet the specifications so that its performance needs to be improved through improving the process itself. For water content (Cpk = 1.7202), ash content (Cpk = 3.3806), fat content (Cpk = 1.210) the Kane Performance Index (Cpk) > 1 and for protein content (Cpk = 0.5013), the levels of calcium (Cpk=0.998) and phosphorus content (Cpk=0, that the process is not good in meeting the specifications that have been set.

Abstract

Everyone would want convenience in completing the work in his life, be it light work or heavy work that is high risk. As we all know, today's technology is so fast that it can replace human jobs where all human work wants to be completed with the results we want. Machines are one example of the application of technology that has a major role in our lives, where an energy, such as electrical energy is converted into motion energy that produces a business in its use. Machines are always evolving because the types of work that are increasingly diverse are always looking for new alternatives in an effort to make the job easier. Of the many types of construction conveyance or conveyor machinery is one End. While the lowest is the AMD parallel fin unit with copper material of 0.00417 K/mm. From the three histogram images above, it can be concluded that the circular fin type with 2024-T3 aluminum material has a better ability to conduct heat than other types of fins and materials. Abstract

Everyone would want convenience in completing the work in his life, be it light work or high-risk heavy work. As we all know, today's technology is so fast that it can replace human jobs where all human work wants to be completed with the results we want.In designing this Portable Belt Conveyor, the author first understands the methods in planning in the preparation stage as well as in theory, namely by analyzing the design, because planning also requires the ability to analyze planning to get performance on this Portable Belt Conveyor. From the calculation results of the analysis of the motor power on the conveyor belt against the resistances contained on the conveyor and also on the variation of the load being transported, it is known that the variation of load and resistance on the conveyor belt plane greatly affects some performance and motor power. So from the results of the discussion conducted, several conclusions can be drawn. The elevation angle that occurs on the conveyor belt also affects the tensile stress received by the belt, the greater the elevation angle that occurs, the greater the tensile stress received by the belt, but on the conveyor belt there is no elevation angle because the conveyor belt is a conveyor belt used in a flat position so that the elevation angle is 00. (3) Based on load variations, motor power was very influential on the load to be transported. The heavier the load being transported, the greater the motor power required.

Abstract

The condenser is one component of the refrigeration machine that can change the fluid phase and can exchange heat. The condenser, collector and evaporator are part of the cooling machine that is designed to be a prototype machine. In this design specifically the author is in charge of designing and manufacturing and testing the condenser. The cooling machine consisting of a collector/generator that uses activated carbon functions to absorb and store solar energy. The evaporator which uses methanol functions to absorb the surrounding heat. This cooling machine is driven by solar energy using an adsorption cycle process. The collector/generator that has been heated to solar energy will absorb the methanol contained in the evaporator and the methanol also absorbs all the surrounding heat so that the water temperature gets lower. The condersor in this design functions to change the vapor phase methanol in the collector which will be condensed into a liquid phase which is then flowed to the evaporator. From this design produces an adsorption cycle cooling machine that is driven by solar energy.
