Abstract

In this study, the researcher wants to find the mathematical aptitude of future teachers. The sample taken for the study is the teacher trainees of different colleges under the Indian Institute of Teacher Education, and the technique used is a random sampling technique. An investigation that covers the entire population is challenging to carry out. The population's representative subjects must, therefore, be chosen. An examined and observed sample is a subset of a larger population. DIET Gandhinagar, DIET Ahmedabad, Centre for Education, M. N. Shukla College, A.G. teacher's college. The sample is drawn from the 168 prospective teachers (teacher trainees) enrolled; 84 are from the District Institute of Education and Training, and the remaining 84 are from other colleges. The data is collected through a questionnaire as the research tool. Collected data were analyzed by t-test. The findings denoted that there are some differences between mathematical aptitude concerning gender and based on colleges.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the views of students taking medical doctor (MD) and dentistry (DD) majors on why they were learning what they were learning and to contextualize how these views would impact their studies. A mixed-methods approach was used in this study. An anonymous Google form was utilized to get quantitative data, while FGDs were used to gather qualitative data. The qualitative data were thematically evaluated, and the quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS. The findings demonstrated the factors that motivated them to enroll in the MD and DD programs and the reasons behind this enrollment. These factors include their interest in future career perspectives, academic performance, life experience, role models, and family direction. However, the results also indicated that university profiles impacted students’ decisions about choosing a health science university for these MD and DD majors, which require a long journey to graduate.

Abstract

This research aimed to assess students' awareness and adoption of electronic cash and analyze the factors influencing their attitudes towards this payment method. The study was conducted in Siem Reap province, Cambodia, with 211 students from Build Bright University. Findings indicated that the majority of respondents had knowledge and understanding of electronic cash, highlighting a positive level of familiarity. Convenience and ease of use influenced students' adoption of electronic cash. Students valued the seamless experience, quick transactions offered by electronic cash, and prioritizing security and privacy. Technological appeal and innovation also played a crucial role in shaping students' preferences. Trust in the payment system and perceived benefits such as rewards and discounts were influential factors.

Abstract

Return on stock is the chief concern of firm investors. Investors prefer better stock returns, and management focuses on increasing stock returns for wealth maximization. Internal factors are the firm fundamentals, and external factors are various macroeconomic variables that influence stock returns. This paper uses descriptive and causality research designs to examine the impact of firm fundamentals on stock returns in Nepal for the fiscal year 2007/08-2021/22. In this paper, the dependent variable is stock return and firm fundamentals such as earnings per share (EPS), book-to-market equity (BME), size of market value of equity (lnME), cash flow yields (CFY), and earning yield (EY) are used as explanatory variables. The correlation result shows that EPS, BME, and EY have positive relationships, and lnME and CFY have negative relationships with stock returns. The regression results reveal the positive impact of EPS, BME, and EY on stock returns in Nepalese firms. This indicates that higher EPS, BME, and EY lead to increased firms’ stock returns. Further, the result reports that lnME and CFY have an inverse influence on returns. Finally, the finding concludes that earnings per share, book-to-market equity, size of market value equity, and cash flow yields are strong, but earnings yield has a weak impact on the stock returns of firms in Nepal. Policymakers, investors, and academicians can implement the findings of this study for effective formulation and application of policies, maximize stock returns, and research activities.

Abstract

Because the formation and development of human character are influenced by family, school, society, network, and peers, this paper studies the influence of these dimensions on youth character education to understand the current situation of youth character education and grasp the dimensions that youth character education should focus on. This paper examines the influence of the six dimensions of family, school, society, network, peer, and self on adolescent character education and the relationship between these six dimensions. This paper's quantitative research method finding: most respondents believed that family education significantly impacted teenagers' personalities, that teenagers attach the most importance to their personality, even more than schools and families, but the Internet attaches little importance to personality education and is most supportive of character education at school and home. This study will expand the dimension of youth quality education and has practical value for strengthening the joint education system.

Abstract

This work investigated people's attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination in the Anambra state, Nigeria. The 5C Model of Vaccination was adopted as the theoretical framework. The study adopted a mixed methods research design, using the multi-stage sampling procedure in selecting 378 respondents. A structured questionnaire and In-Depth Interview (IDI) guide served as instruments for data collection. The quantitative data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21, while the qualitative data were analysed using manual content analysis. One research hypothesis was formulated and tested using chi-square inferential statistics. The study found a negative attitude towards COVID-19 vaccination in Anambra state, Nigeria. The study recommended that the government, health workers, and NGOs work cooperatively to enlighten the public on the importance of accepting COVID-19 vaccination.

Abstract

The motive of the study was to find factors that influence the teaching and learning of logarithms at the senior High schools in the Kwahu East Municipality. The study employed a descriptive survey where a questionnaire was administered to Eighty-Six (86) teachers. The sample was selected using the Census method. After the SPSS software was used to analyse the data, the descriptive analysis revealed that most teachers positively perceive logarithms. Factors influencing Senior High School mathematics teachers' teaching of logarithm were identified. Teachers believe that suitable teaching methods can influence students' perceptions. Strategies to encourage positive perceptions should be promoted among teachers, and recommendations include developing innovative methods for teaching logarithms in Senior High School mathematics.

Abstract

The eligibility of recipients of government assistance programs for rural communities is an essential problem in this study. The distribution of recipients of government assistance programs was found to be misdirected. Some rich people receive government assistance programs, but some poor people do not receive government assistance programs. One of the government assistance programs is Community Based Development (CBD), a community development activity directed at increasing community access to achieve better socioeconomic conditions than before development activities to become more independent with a better quality of life and welfare. Everyone wants this assistance program, but the eligibility level of recipients is a problem in distributing it. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). To solve this problem, a decision support system must be created to assist the Dawuan District Office assess the beneficiaries' eligibility. The Composite Performance Index (CPI) method is needed to determine the provision of CBD assistance by using the criteria of income, housing conditions, education, and environment in the calculation. Each criterion's data from each alternative is weighted and summed to get the CPI value and used for ranking. Based on the results of system testing, the data from the calculation of the CPI method can be used as recommendations that follow the eligibility level of the beneficiaries. The most considerable CPI value is 285 on behalf of Mr. Sarip, who first prioritizes getting assistance from the CBD program. The second priority is on behalf of Mr. Budi, who has a CPI score of 265, to be the following reference as a recipient of assistance from the CBD program.
