Abstract

The manufacture of fish feed activities of  local raw materials of fishmeal red devil (Amphilphus labiatus) was performed in Beringin fish farming group at, Jl. Ayapo Sentani, on 13 to 15 June 2016. Using 2 forms and methods of activities, namely classroom activities with a lecture and outside the classroom with practical methods. The main raw material in the manufacture of feed is fishmeal red devil of  Lake Sentani. The red devil fish for fishmeal has been found to have high nutrition, as well as become a pest to farmers and be a competitor fish economical and endemic species in the lake Sentani, as well as maintaining the status of bio-ecology of Lake Sentani. These fish feed production, using 4 stages (1) flouring red devil fish meat, (2) early pecampuran, (3) manufacture of pellets, (4) Packaging. Hasli obtained by the fish farmers may eventually be able to make fish feed made from local flour quality red devil fish as feed supplement for fish farmed in cages in Lake Sentani. Keywords: feed, fish meal, Red Devil, and Lake Sentani

Abstract

Trash is a wasted or discarded material  from the source of human activities and natural processes that do not have economic value. The plastic waste is the largest number of waste from human because many people are using plastic for everyday life. Everyone, when plastic shopping will definitely need to bring groceries. If the plastic is not used normally people would throw it into the trash, to the river, to the ground, or even burned directly. Until now, the students of Biology not thought to try the plastic waste recycling. This is due to limited knowledge and skills of the students in Department of Biology on recycling of plastic waste. Therefore, the training and practice of recycling plastic waste needs to be done as one of concern for students from the Department of Biology to supports the government programs paid on plastic bags. The activity methods used are observation and practice in the field by collecting and utilizing waste plastic household scale (eg: plastic refill fragrances, clothing, soap, and dishwashing soap) that exist in the environment. The students will create a straight pattern bag with a variety of innovations models. The bag can serve as a shopping cart bag with a variety of sizes. The end result of this activity is the creation of product innovation models of multi-functional shopping cart bags are environmentally friendly. In addition, with the end of the training activity, the knowledge and care about environmental of the students are growing more higher. Keywords: training, recycling, plastic waste, students of Department of Biology

Abstract

The need for fuel continues to increase along with population growth and development of the times. But what happens when this is fossil fuel supplies continue to decline. Therefore, it is necessary to find an alternative that can provide renewable fuels and environmentally friendly. One form of alternative energy that has the prospective to be developed is biogas. Biogas can be obtained by making use of livestock manure. Moreover, in the manufacture of biogas, also produced fertilizer which can be used for plant fertility. Do counseling / guidance and knowledge transfer to the public to utilize the manure waste as biogas instead of wood fuel / kerosene and manure that are environmentally friendly and provide an example to the community about how to make a tool of sewage treatment of livestock manure into biogas as appropriate technology affordable by the public as a form of community service. This event was held for groups of pig farmers in Konya, Village Hedam, Heram District Jayapura City in the form of counseling / guidance and training to the community by using the method of lecture, discussion, question and answer, demonstration and practice of waste processing pig manure into biogas. Keywords: Biogas, fossil, fuel, environment, wood fuel

Abstract

Trash The community service activities aims at socialization of English teaching innovative for teachers in elementary school,  in Puay,  Yoka,  Jayapura in order to help the teachers in these schools in developing learning methodologies given increasing quality and thus is expected to have an impact on improving the quality of the quality of learning and quality graduates at the school. The specific objective of community service activities is to introduce teachers to some innovation in English language learning, especially to students at a very young age. Besides community service activities will involve some of the students of English language education III semester that follows the course English for Young Learner (EYL) are taught by the chairman of the operations in which the activity is also one form of the application of science and theory studied in the course. Community service activities will be carried out for approximately one month including the deepening of the material on the innovative English language teaching for students prior to the field survey locations of service activities, the implementation of service activities, and community service activities seminars results. Community service activities is useful for the improvement / updating knowledge of English teachers in elementary Puay Yoka Jayapura District, field experience is valuable for student teachers of English in the Language Study Program English FKIP UNCEN in applying science and knowledge after attending the course English for Young Learner (EYL) and to know and understand the world of teaching was coming later after completion of study, and is also beneficial for the introduction and promotion of Language Study Program English FKIP UNCEN for students in elementary Puay Yoka Jayapura district which is a prospective student potential future. Keywords: Teaching, English, Innovative

Abstract

Environmental pollution occurs because of lack of knowledge of the environment of the community. Habit of throwing plastic garbage cans to make an impact for human life. The plastic waste is not easily degraded by decomposing animals. The amount of plastic waste can be hazardous to the environment and public health. Therefore, the need of public awareness of plastic waste is not his to control environmental pollution. The purpose of the implementation of the service activity is shown to explain to the concerns about the dangers of plastic waste to health and the environment; The second is to make some crafts of plastic waste materials. Activities that do on Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at SMP Depapre, Jayapura. The audience is 40 students. Using speech and simulation methods. Abstract

The preliminary test research in the active compounds of plants are needed. The preliminary test often known as phytochemical screening is the qualitative test for the review of secondary metabolites content determine in group samples. Nowadays, Indonesian society starts to publish the heritage about traditional medicine, using plant or animal species, thus came the term "Back to Nature" but still many plants are known yet about the content of secondary metabolites based on qualitative and quantitative.  It should be carried out research related to content and activities of certain medicinal plants. The training screening candidates phytochemical medicinal plants for high school teachers gave the positive impact  to review and conduct the simple research especially medicinal plants (ethnobotany and chemistry natural materials). A total of twenty participants were attended  the training activities. The training activities was run well.

Abstract

The community service was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering, Cenderawasih University. The topics is The Development Training of  "MHP Community-Based Self", given the potential for development of renewable energy sources potential so desperately needs a good knowledge of how business can be done to develop the potential utilization of renewable energy, especially the MHP as electricity generator spread in Papua based society. The approach offered in this activity is to provide an overview of activities that will be implemented in the development of electrical energy (MHP) based independent community. Implementation of these activities are done through training and simulation in the field how to ultimately determine the location of micro hydro power plants, and utilization of energy available in the location to be effective and efficient in their utilization, especially for the development of home industries in the villages. It is hoped this activity will produce a group of people who can develop electrical energy independent community-based MHP and produced a training module for community service learning development of micro hydro power plant (MHP). The impact of this activity can form a community of skilled, creative, innovative and independent as well as increased utilization of new and renewable energy, especially in the field of micro hydro power plant as well as the needs of the community on electrical energy can be addressed and their efforts in the community independent produktivities.Keywords: Papua, MHP, energy, produktivities
