Abstract

The automated library system has been applied to the library of Department of Physics FMIPA Cendrawasih University. An automated library system is a library system by combining software and hardware to generate digital libraries that can be accessed digitally. The purpose of this community service is to apply the SLIMS-7 (Senayan Library Management System-7) Cendana software at the library of  Department of Physics FMIPA Cendrawasih University. The target community of this activity are students and lecturers of Departement of  Physics FMIPA Cenderawasih University. The results show that the library management system is getting better and controllable. Abstract

The curriculum 2013, demands the concept of science-based learning that is associated with local culture. Mathematical concepts related to the local culture of Papua one of them is noken etnomatematics. The purpose of community service is to introduce the concept of noken etnomatematics to the students of  class V SD Inpres Vim II Kota Raja Abepura Jayapura as many as 35 students. The method of implementation is to socialize the material, time and object before the implementation of activities to teachers and Headmaster. In the implementation of community service learning is used lecture method, discussion, and props. The results obtained in the pre-test with an average value of  = 26.42 including low, the lowest value of 7 and the highest value of 50. Results obtained on the post-test with an average value of = 41.54 including moderate, the lowest value of 17 and the highest value of 70. Improved learning outcomes obtained after the activities of community service for N-Gain = 0.38 including the moderate category.Keywords: Learning, etnomatematics, noken, N-gain.

Abstract

Increased community income from the diversification of snake fruit (salak) needs to be done. Snake fruit (Salacca edulis) is one type of fruit in Indonesia whose distribution is quite wide. The potential utilization as a beverage is very good. The purpose of this activity is to make snake fruit juice (Sabulak) as an effort to increase the income of community in the Dindey village, Warmare District, Manokwari Regency. The results of this activity were able to increase public knowledge about how to make sabulak. Knowledge of the use of fresh snake fruit used as beverage products increased from 18.2% to 100.0%. Most of the community (93.8%) said they had never known snake fruit juice drink products. Snake fruit juice is a term used for snake fruit products that are used as beverage ingredients. In fact, 100% of the people in Dindey village, Warmare District have never consumed and produced snake fruit juice. This activity increases community knowledge and motivation to increase their income through diversification of salak fruit. Key words: Salacca edulis, juice, Dindey, Warmare, community income.

Abstract

Community service with the title: Utilization and how to formulate medicinal plant of African leaf (Vernonia amygdalina Delile) in Keerom Papua, aims to provide the skills of Arsopura Village community in Skamto District of Keerom Regency.  The aims to this activities is the use and how to formulate antidiabetic medicinal plants.  Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused due to metabolic disorders of the body, where the sugar content in the body can not be catalyzed by the enzyme insulin which was produced the pancreas gland. Herbal antidiabetes formulated from African leaf plants is a traditional knowledge based on local wisdom Kerom community hereditary used to cure diabetes melitus diseases. This activities is an effort to raise the local wisdom  about traditional medicine that has been empirically or hereditary has been used as a traditional medicine antidiabetes. Utilization of herbs of traditional medicinal plants need to be socialized by providing skills how to use it and how to formulate to local communities in the Arsopura Village, Keerom regency according to the guidelines regulation of the Supervision of Food and Drug Indonesian Government  about the Making of Good Traditional Drugs (CPOTB). According to Institution of Supervision of Food and Drug Indonesian Government  that traditional medicine has been used for from generation to generation can be used by the community without having to get permission from The Institution of Supervision of Food and Drug Indonesian Government. Traditional medicine must also have the criteria of safety, quality and efficacy. The purpose of this activities is to provide knowledge on how to utilize and skill how to use herbs of traditional African antidiabetes leaf medicine in Keerom Regency. The method of education used is the lecture or extension method of herbal medicine utilization of traditional antidiabetic medicinal plants, how to use and how to cultivate it. The result data of this activities can be concluded that local people in Arsopura Village, Keerom Regency are very enthusiastic to study the utilization of traditional antidiabetes leaf medicinal plants of Africa and how to mix herbs of traditional antidiabetic medicinal plants and how to cultivate them as Medicinal Plants for family (TOGA). The answer of the question post increasingly and extends to various diseases and herbs that can be used to other disease. Suggestions need assistance in mixing herbs traditional antidiabetes medicinal plants and how to cultivate these plants.Keywords: Herbs, antidiabetes, Vernonia amygdalina,  diabetes mellitus, Keerom

Abstract

Lake Sentani is the biggest lowland lake in Papua and the biggest freshwater fish source in Jayapura. The lake has highest endemism and one of freshwater ecosystem conservation priorities in Papua. Lake organisms consist of water plants, mollusks, crustacea and fish. In Lake Sentani, there are 19 species of fish including endemic, native and anadromous and introduced species. This program aims to deliver knowledge on fish species of Lake Sentani and fish species grouping for elementary school students, grade IV to VI of SD Negeri 5 Puay, Puay Village, East Sentani District, Jayapura. Methods used were seminar, training and practice of fish species grouping, drawing a fish and writing its story. Moreover, pre test and post test consist of questions about Lake Sentani fish and its grouping was deliver to measure the level of knowledge of the students before and after the program. Level of knowledge of students on fish of Lake Sentani was evaluated based on the results of pre test and post test. Student knowledge on Lake Sentani fish species were increasing which show by pre test and post test results. Twelve out of 13 (92%) students showed their post test results were increasing and only one student’s test result was decreasing. Eventhough there are more students with good post test result than those who do not, the level of knowledge on Lake Sentani’s fish and its grouping is not fairly distributed among the students. It is shown by the fact that there are 62% or 8 students  that doing poorly on this test. Therefore, various programmes with various teaching methods for students should be desigend to increase knowledge of students on fish species and its grouping in Lake Sentani. Keywords: fish, fish grouping, Lake Sentani, Puay, students

Abstract

The titel of this research is Delinquency Prevention (Delinquency of Children And Youth), Impact And  Cured was held in SMK Negeri 7 and Muara Tami Junior High School Muara Tami District. The purposed of this research is to provide students with understanding of the forms of Delinquency, the factors causing Delinquency (Delinquency of children and teenagers) and how to handle it based on the laws and regulations in Indonesia. The method used is by counseling in the form of material exposure, discussion and question and answer. The result of this dedication is, the material given in the counseling about the Deliquency of Children is well received by the students and they are gives  good responses and responses  with various weighted questions asked during the counseling. Through this dedication is expected to be a preventive effort for the students  do not deeds belonging to Delinquency so as to prevent children or students from the legal problems that can arise from the delinquency of children and adolescents.Keywords: Countermeasures, Delinquency, Child, Adolescent, and Cured.
