This study aimed to: (1) determine and analyzed the empowerment of tomato plant farmers in the Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City. (2) Knowed and analyzed tomato plant cultivation in Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City. (3) Knowed the relationship between the empowerment of tomato cultivation in the empowerment of tomato farmers in the Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City. This research was conducted in the Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City which was carried out from December 2020 to January 2021 with a population of 25 respondents while the determination of the sample for the Lowu-Lowu sub-district using the census method, namely all members of the population were used as research subjects. Data analysis used quantitative analysis. The results showed that (1) Empowerment of tomato plant farmers in Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City has been carried out well, where awareness and desire, level of ability to increase capacity, level of ability to face obstacles and level of ability to cooperate in farmer empowerment activities already well. (2) Cultivation of tomato plants by farmers in Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City has been carried out well, which was viewed from soil cultivation, seed sowing, planting, watering, initial fertilization, pruning, weeding, fertilization after control pests and diseases in tomato cultivation activities have been done well by farmers in this research area. (3) there was a fairly close relationship between farmer empowerment activities and tomato cultivation. Where the better the empowerment of farmers, the better the cultivation of tomato plants.

This research aimed to: (1) Analyzed the role taken by agriculture instructor in Ambuulanu, District of Pondidaha, Konawe Regency. (2) Analyzed productivity of farmer work on the rice farming rice field in Ambuulanu, District of Pondidaha, Konawe Regency. (3) Analyzed the effectiveness of the role of agriculture instructor in Ambuulanu, District of Pondidaha, Konawe Regency. (4) Analyzed relation of the role effectiveness between agriculture instructor and productivity of farmer work on the rice farming rice field in Ambuulanu, District of Pondidaha, Konawe Regency. This research was carried out in Ambuulanu, District of Pondidaha, Konawe Regency on September 2020 with 46 respondents which taken by simple random sampling. The data is analyzed by descriptive and analysis correlation of rank spearman. The result of this research showed that the role of agriculture instructor in Ambuulanu categorized as good. Work productivity of the rice field farmer in Ambuulanu categorized as very good. The role of agriculture instructure in Ambuulanu categorized as effective. The effectiveness of agriculture instructure role has significant relation with work productivity of farmer of rice field.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui penyebab diversifikasi mata pencaharian pada masyarakat bajo di Pulau Balu Kecamatan Tiworo Utara Kabupaten Muna. Masyarakat pesisir yang menempati daerah lautan secara turun temurun memiliki mata pencaharian yang seragam yaitu nelayan tangkap. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptip kualitatif yang mana dapat menguraikan secara eksplisit mengenai fenomena yang ada di lapangan. Metode pengumpulan datanya yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Wawancara mendalam dimulai dari tokoh adat di Pulau Balu yang kemudian dilakukan secara menyeluruh dikarenakan jumlah mappalimba yang hanya sekitar 20 an orang saja. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah dibagi atas factor eksternal dan factor internal. Yang termasuk factor eksternal adalah populasi ikan yang semakin berkurang, populasi kepiting yang semakin menurun, tingkat pendidikan anak-anak bajo, mobilitas masyarakat dan letak pulau yang sangat stategis memudahkan mobilitas masyarakat untuk masuk dan keluar dari pulau Balu. Sedangkan factor internal adalah berupa motivasi dan sikap. Motivasi disini berarati dorongan yang kuat untuk berubah dan membahagian keluarga dan sikap berkaitan dengan penerimaan atas mata pencaharian baru yang memakan waktu yang tidak sebentar namun hal ini berangsur semakin positif.

This study used quantitative methods. The data collection procesed was carried out by means of surveys and questionnaires, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The results showed the competency level of agricultural instructors in Kecamatan Baula. The results showed that the competency levels of agricultural instructors in Kecamatan Baula, Kabupaten Kolaka were categorized as good with an average score of 187. So it can be said that the instructors in Kecamatan Baula had good knowledge, attitudes and skills. The competency level of the instructor's knowledge that reaches the level of remembering, understanding, applying, is 7 respondents or 100%. Respondents who reached the analyzing level were 5 respondents or 71.4%, respondents who reached the evaluation level were 4 respondents or 57.1% and none of the extension workers reached the creating level because the extension workers in Kecamatan Baula had not created the latest innovation or technology. In the attitude competence of the instructor, respondents who reached the level of accepting, responding, self-assessment, and organization were 7 respondents or 100%, and those who reached the level of characterization were 3 respondents or 42%. This is because some extension workers are fair in providing assistance to farmers. respondents who have competency skills at the level of perception, readiness, directed reaction, natural reaction, complex reaction, and adaptation are 7 respondents or 100%. and those who reached the level of creativity were 4 respondents or 57.1% this was because some of the extension workers were creative in establishing field schools for women, so that women also had knowledge in cultivating rice fields. The performance of farmers in cultivating lowland rice in Kecamatan Baula which includes productivity, business profits, administrative performance, and operating performance in Kolaka Regency is in the good category with an average score of 171.5%.

The capacity of farmers is closely related to the readiness of farmers to accept changes in innovation technology. The development of cocoa cultivation innovation technology for cocoa cultivation requires increasing the capacity of farmers to be able to respond appropriately to innovation in supporting cocoa development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of farmer capacity in cocoa development. The research was carried out in four cocoa center sub-districts in East Kolaka Regency from June to August 2019. Data was collected through structured interviews with 267 cocoa farmers and in-depth interviews with key farmers and agricultural extension workers. Data analysis was done descriptively. The results showed that the level of farmer's in cocoa development was in the medium category on the ability to manage farming resources, the ability to organize farming, the ability to adapt to innovation and the ability to evaluate innovation. The ability of farmers in organizing farming has the lowest ability compared to the other three capacity indicators so it needs to be improved

The agricultural sector is one of the important sectors in national economic development. Participation of farmers both individually and in groups with full awareness and responsibility in the field of agricultural business is indispensable to create changes that can improve the welfare of farmers. To increase farmers' participation, the role of agricultural extensionists is very important. This research aimed to knowed the level of communication skills of extension workers, the level of participation of farmers and to know the relationship of communication skills to the participation of farmers in rice paddy extension activities in wonua monapa village pondidaha district konawe. Sampling is determined randomly or simple random sampling with the number of samples as many as 43 respondents rice paddy farmers. The techniques of data analyzed used to determine extension communication skills and farmer participation are measured using a likert scale and then analyzed using a class interval formula and to find out the relationship of extension communication skills to farmer participation using spearman rank correlation formula. The results showed that the communication skills of extension workers with a moderate category with a percentage of 76.74%, the participation of farmers with a moderate category with a percentage of 58.14%. Rank Spearman's correlation test results showed that extension communication skills with farmers' participation in rice paddy extension activities showed significance or Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.030<0.05, so Ha was accepted. That is, the improved communication skills of extension workers, the participation of farmers will also increase.
