Abstract

This studied aim to determined the performance of agricultural instructors and the level of farmer satisfaction with the performance of agricultural extension workers in Marobea Village, Sawerigadi District, West Muna Regency. The location selection was done purposively by considering that Marobea Village is one of the corn center villages in West Muna. Data analysis in this study used quantitative analysis. The time of the research was carried out in June-July 2022 with a total of 27 respondents. The results showed that the performance of the instructor was categorized as quite good and the level of farmer satisfaction with the performance of the extension worker was categorized as satisfactory.

Abstract

This studied aim to determined the use of jajar legowo 2: 1 planting system technology in pafarming in Toburi Village, North Poleang District, Bombana Regency. To The determination of the research area was determined purposively with the consideration that one of the areas whose farmers used the jajar legowo 2:1 planting system technology in processing paddy rice farming. There were 30 respondents who applied the 2:1 legowo jajar planting system technology. Data analysis using qualitative analysis. The results showed that 30 farmers who utilized the legowo 2:1 jajar planting system technology were able to be adequate for the development of their farming business, several stages of the process carried out by farmers in utilizing the legowo 2:1 jajar planting system technology include: Land processing process, seedling process, planting process, embroidery process, maintenance process, fertilization process, pest and disease control process, and harvesting process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to ascertain the technical proficiency of female farmers engaged in seaweed production as well as the link between these two factors. choosing a purposeful site for the study. The study was done throughout the month of November 2021. The participants in this research were female farmers who were engaged in seaweed farming in Wasalabose Village. Up to 23 persons were used in the sample selection during the census. Descriptive (interval with percentage) and Spearman Rank analyses were utilized in the data analysis. The findings demonstrated that Wasalabose Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency women farmers had a high level of technical proficiency in seaweed cultivation. The factors of seed purchasing, seed selection, seed binding, site selection, and harvesting show the excellent technical proficiency of women farmers. Age, the number of dependents, and prior farming experience are characteristics of women farmers that have a significant association with their technical competence, however education level has no significant relationship with their technical skill whatsoever.

Abstract

This study aims to determine : (1) find out how the farmers are applying the innovation in the cultivation of the patchouli plant in the village of Matabondu, Angata district, south Konawe regency, (2) find out the farmers’ application of the innovation in the cultivation of patchouli harversts in the village of matabondu, angata district, south konawe regency. The study was carried out in the village of Matabondu, Angata district, south Konawe regency which was held in November 2021 to complete 2022 with the number of 7 informants specified by purposive sampling. The data analysis used is qalitative descriptive. The results showed that the application of innovation performed farmers in the cultivation of the patchouli was at the stage of planting and treatment. Whereas the farmers’applicatiom of innovation in the patchouli harvest was at the stage of the harvest

Abstract

This studied aim to determined the income of coastal women through Cocopot business craftsmen in Lambangi Village, East Kolono District, South Konawe Regency. Research has been conducted on a group of coastal women who are developing a Cocopot business. The time of the research was carried out in March 2022 with a total of 26 respondents who were members of 4 groups, each group consisting of 6 and 7 members. Research variables measured in this study are reception, production costs and operating revenues. Analysis of the data used to determine the amount of income is to use the income calculation formula. The results showed that the amount of income earned per month from the production of Cocopot handicrafts for all groups of women in Lambangi Village, East Kolono District, South Konawe Regency was Rp. 3,551,000. The amount of income obtained can increase income, where waste that was not used is then processed into a product that has economic value.

Abstract

The high price of cloves in the market today is certainly one of the factors driving the work of farmers to be more active in carrying out clove farming activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of motivation of farmers in clove farming in Karemotingge Village, Tirawuta District, East Kolaka Regency and to determine the relationship between the motivational factors of farmers to Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation of farmers in clove farming in Karemotingge Village, Tirawuta District, East Kolaka Regency. This study was analyzed using quantitative methods. The result shows taht  the level of motivation of farmers in clove farming in Karemotingge Village, Tirawuta District, East Kolaka Regency is in the very high category, namely the level of intrinsic motivation consisting of the desire to earn higher incomes, the desire to meet the needs of family life, the desire to live more prosperously, the desire to have and increase savings and the desire to buy luxury goods which is 87.1% and the level of extrinsic motivation which consists of the desire to add relationships or friends, the desire to cooperate with others the desire to strengthen harmony , the desire to exchange opinions and the desire to get help from others is 91.4%, there is a significant relationship between the motivational factors of farmers and the motivation of farmers in clove farming, namely intrinsic motivation with income, the role of government and availability of production facilities and extrinsic motivation of farmers with farmer experience and the role of the government in clove farming in Karemotingge Village, Tirawuta District.

Abstract

This studied aim to determine the amount of household income obtained from smoked fish business in Malalanda Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. The time of the research was carried out from February to March 2022 with the number of respondents as many as 20 smoked fish business actors. The research variables measured in this study were the husband's income who helped the smoked fish business and the housewife's income obtained from the smoked fish business. Analysis of the data used is to determine the amount of household income obtained from smoked fish business is to use the formula for calculating household income. The results showed that the monthly household income obtained from smoked fish business in Malalanda Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency was Rp. 5,987,314,-/month.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the brown sugar processing process in Labuan Bajo Village, (2) determine the income earned by brown sugar processors in Labuan Bajo Village, and (3) the economic feasibility of brown sugar processing business in Labuan Bajo Village.  carried out in Labuan Bajo Village, North Wakorumba District, North Buton Regency in April-July 2022 with a total of 17 samples selected by census. Data analysis in this study used mixed methods which combines quantitative research methods with qualitative research methods sequentially.  to determine the development of brown sugar processing related to the object of research descriptively, while quantitative methods are used to find out how much income is obtained by brown sugar processors and determine the economic feasibility of whether the business being run is feasible or not. The results show that (1) The process  of  processing brown sugar starting from the tapping process, cooking process, printing process, to the packaging process is still done traditionally. (2) The income obtained by brown sugar processors is Rp. 18 544 307,- months, with an average value of Rp. 1,090 842,-month. (3) Economic feasibility of the brown sugar processing business n gets an RC ratio of Rp 6,2 so that it is declared a profitable and feasible business to run because the R/C value is more than 1(one).
