Abstract

Background : Job satisfaction is one the important factors tobe considered by the organization. This is because the satisfaction feeling of the employees on the job will minimize the high rate of employee turnover and absenteeism and increase productivity and employee loyalty to the organization. Aim : To find out how the job satisfaction of nurse based on the hygiene factor and pemotivation factor was in the Ismic Hospital Samarinda. Method : Based hygiene factor of this research, it is known that employees at the Islamic Hospital Samarinda satisfied as much as 25.8% and 74.2% are not satisfied. While pemotivation factor of 58.3% who said they were satisfied and dissatisfied as much as 41.7%, on performance and job satisfaction of nurses at the Islamic Hospital Samarinda 0.00 p-value < from 0.05 alpha value means the distribution of nurse job satisfaction variables abnormally shaped. Result : Type in this research is descriptive. This research of thesis uses the cross sectional draff. Sa,pling technique that us is random sampling that quantity are 120 responden. This research has done on 18-25 of April 2016. The data have collected by quisiners Conclusion : This hospital management should do an evaluation of the existing payroll system to give salary according to age, gender, education, tenure, responsibilities and job performance of employees.

Abstract

Background: Patient Satisfaction is the reflection of the health service quality they receive. To find out the service performance of the government officials to the public, it is necessary to assess the public opinions about their satisfaction toward the services provided in the Laboratory. Based on the Decree of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment Number: Kep/25/M. PAN/2/2004 concerning the General Guidelines for Preparing Public Satisfaction Index in the Government Institution Service Units, it is necessary to do assessment on the satisfaction index toward public services. Then the 14 indicators were used as an assessment instrument based on the decree of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment. Methods: The sample was taken by using Non Probability Sampling with the total number of 150 respondents taken from the patients who visited the Laboratory of UPTD Puskesmas Wonorejo. The research was conducted in May 2016. The data were analyzed descriptively and the value of Public Satisfaction Index (PSI) was calculated. Findings: The research findings showed that the value of public satisfaction index of PSI was 74.065 in which the service quality was categorized B or good. Conclusion: Public Satisfaction Index toward the services provided by Laboratory at UPTD Puskesmas Wonorejo Samarinda was 74.085 with good service performance .

Abstract

Background: Urinalysis is one of the effective methods of supporting examination and comprehensive. The urine examination late can cause the changing of the results of a urinalysis, so it can change the patient’s diagnosis and governance. Methods: The sampling technique that is used was quota sampling with many 50 samples of patients in health laboratory UPTD province of East Kalimantan. Examination is conducted at May 2016 in health laboratory UPTD province of East Kalimantan. Data were analyzed with statistical correlation coefficients (spearman) test. Results: Research results based on the correlation coefficient test statistics (Spearman rank) of chemical urine parameters that influence at a time when is delayed 2 hours and 4 hours of glucose, protein, pH, specific gravity, ketones, leukocytes and erythrocytes. While the urine chemical parameters have no affect on the time when is delayed 2 hours and 4 hours of bilirubin, urobilinogen, and nitrite. Conclusion: There is the influence of time of sample storage urine for 2 hours and 4 hours at a temperature of 2-8oC against the examination result of glucose, protein, pH, specific gravity, ketones, leukocytes, erythrocytes and have no effect against the examination results of bilirubin, urobilinogen, and nitrite.

Abstract

Background: Based on the data of sikda (local health information system) diarrhea is still one of the major health problems suffered in Samarinda City. Even in some villages, this type of health problem ranks the third most suffered disease. Diarrhea is a disease which is caused by fecal bacteria. Escherichia coli bacteria can be used as an indicator of contamination in water and food or drink by the bacteria derived from feces. This bacterium can spread through various ways, among others is through contaminated water and food or drink. This research aims to test the existence of Escherichia coliin unlabeled soya milk in Samarinda City. Methods: This research used 7 samples of unlabeled soya milk to prove the existence of Escherichia coliwith the stages that included presumptive test and confirmed test. Presumptive test used media Mac conkey and confirmed test used IMVIC method. Findings: The result of the research showed that all samples tested were negative of Escherichia coli. However, 3 samples of soya milk contained Klebsiella pneumonia andKlebsiella ozaenae Conclusion:It is concluded in this research that there was noEscherichia coli bacteria found in the samples of unlabeled soya milk so that they have met the Indonesia National Standard, SNI Number 7399-2009 and Minister of Health Regulation Number 1096/Menkes/Per/2011. However, there were other types of bacteria found, namely Klebsiella pneumonia andKlebsiella ozaenaebacteria.

Abstract

Background: Intravenous therapy or IV therapy is one of the most used therapy method Thar caused phlebitis. It is an inflammation of the veins tunica intima with the characteristics of a reddish symptoms at insertion area or along the vein, pain and swelling. One of non pharmacological treatment for patient with phlebitis is by giving warm compress. So that, this research aimed to know the effects of warm compress treatment on decreasing pain intensity on patient with phlebitis. Research methods: This researh used quasi-experiments with One Group Pretest Posttest design by using 20 respondents. Each respondents, before and after intervention, are measured by using pain scale observation sheet. Then, the data were analyzed by Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with a significant p value ˂ α 0,05. Findings: This research reveals that warm compress treatment decreasing pain intensity on patient with phlebitis, before and after intervention, with p value 0,000 (p ˂ α 0,05), that average value of pain intensity before warm compress treatments intervention is 7,45 and average value of pain intensity after warm compress treatments intervention in 15 minutes is 2,70. Conclusions: There is a relationship between warm compress treatment with decreasing pain intensity in patients with phlebitis. Therefore, nurse, especially in inpatient unit, should give warm compress treatment as alternative method in decreasing pain intensity on patient with phlebitis.

Abstract

Background: Leadership style is the reflection of a leader’s behavior that relates to his capability in holding the leadership. Four famous styles of leaderships are Autocratic, Democratic, Participative, and Laizzes-faire. Leadership style affects much on nurse performance that determines the nurse service quality. The nurse performance is a nurse’s activity in implementing a duty obligation and responsibility to reach the profession objective to give nursing guidance. So that it aims to know the relationship between the leadership style of the room head and the nurse performance in a medical surgery room, Dirgahayu Hospital, Samarinda. The Method: The total population of nurses at the medical surgery room, Dirgahayu Hospital, Samarinda was 114 and the total sample was 68 nurses. The research design used in this research was analytical comparative research with cross sectional approach. The level significant was 95% (a= 0.05).The Result of the study: The result of the research revealed that there was a relationship between the leadership style of the room head and the nurse performance in a medical surgery room. The result of using Chi-square statistic test got p-value of 0.009, and P value was smaller than alpha value, 0.05. Conclusion: Therefore, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. In other words, there was a relation between the leadership style of the room head with nurse performance in medical surgery room, Dirgahayu Hospital, Samarinda. The room head should be optimal in the implementation of leadership style in order to improve the room nurse performance. They should give nursing guidance to the patients and their family, so that they were able to improve the nursing service quality that affected the BOR (Bed Occupancy Ratio) enhancement.

Abstract

Hallucinations as a mental illness that is found and treatment needs special attention , especially from the family . As a result of hallucinations is a risk of injuring oneself , others and the environment . This is caused because the client is under the hallucination asking him to do something beyond consciousness , where the client can not control his hallucinations . This study aims to determine the Family Support Relationships With Clients Ability Level Control Hallucinations in room Outpatient Mental Hospital of Atma Husada Mahakam Samarinda. Correlational Descriptive type of research , with cross sectional study design , study sample consisted of 78 respondents by means of sampling by using accidental sampling technique . The analysis used the statistical test Chi Square . The results of statistical test Chi Square with p value p value in 1000 and is therefore greater than the alpha value of 0.05 then Ho is accepted , it means that there is no relationship with the level of family support clients' ability to control hallucinations in the psychiatric hospital outpatient area atma husada Mahakam samarinda.
